  • Patent number: 8478292
Abstract: A wireless localization technology using efficient multilateration in a wireless sensor network is disclosed. After calculating estimated distances from each of at least three reference nodes to a blind node using received signal strength of wireless signals that the at least three reference nodes received from the blind node, the estimated location of the blind node is obtained through multilateration using the calculated estimated distances. To correct error in the estimated location, the estimated distances are used, and the error correction direction and error correction distance for the estimated location are calculated by applying a largest weight to the reference node closest to the estimated location. The error of the estimated location is corrected by move the estimated location of the blind node by the calculated error correction direction and error correction distance. Calculation for the error correction is very simple and fast.

  • Publication number: 20130158415
Abstract: A ballistocardiogram (BCG) analysis apparatus, method, and system is provided for utilizing the BCG for a vehicle. A basic pattern is selected when measurement of a BCG is initiated. Data about BCG is measured for a predetermined period of time. Whether the basic pattern is suitable for the measured data is determined by comparing the measured data with the basic pattern. If the basic pattern is suitable for the measured BCG data, continuous data about the BCG is collected. Signal processing is performed based on pattern matching using the continuous data. A biological condition of the examinee is recognized using results of the signal processing. A posture of the examinee is measured, and if the posture of the examinee has changed, a pattern DB is searched, the basic pattern is changed to a suitable pattern, and then signal processing is performed.

  • Publication number: 20130150455
Abstract: The present invention relates to a pharmaceutical composition for selectively treating mechanical allodynia, which provides eugenol or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof at a concentration lower than that which would inhibit voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSCs), a pharmaceutical composition for blocking hyperpolarization-activated current (Ih), and a transdermal preparation for treating mechanical allodynia comprising the composition. Even though administered at a concentration lower than that which would inhibit VGSCs, the eugenol of the present invention inhibits Ih in a cAMP or G-protein coupled receptor (GPCR) independent manner, thereby selectively ameliorating mechanical allodynia. Therefore, when the eugenol of the present invention is formulated into a transdermal preparation to be provided at a concentration lower than that which would inhibit VGSCs, and directly applied to the wound lesion, it can be used as a pharmaceutical composition capable of selectively treating mechanical allodynia.
