Abstract: A zero insertion force electrical connector part includes a sleeve contact (socket contact) and an activation element associated with the sleeve contact. The sleeve contact has contact members with a plug contact receptacle situated between the contact members for receiving an electrical plug contact. Each contact member has a contact region. The activation element is enclosed around the contact members. The activation element is displaceable relative to the sleeve contact between non-activated and activated positions. The activation element applies a contact force to the contact members of the sleeve contact which forces the contact regions against a plug contact inserted into the plug contact receptacle of the sleeve contact to make contact with the plug contact while the activation element is in the activated position.
Abstract: The present invention relates to an aqueous colloidal gold solution, comprising (a) nano-particular gold particles, (b) a compound having a polar tertiary amino group conjugated via a hydrophobic aromatic residue with a weaker alkaline group, and (c) a stabilizer comprising a mercapto group (—SH) and an acidic group, in particular a sulfonic acid group (—SO3?). This gold solution uses an ecologically compatible medium and is suited in an especial manner for writing and for printing, also for inkjet printers, since it has a long-term storage life and generates an attractive metal-like gold sheen.

Abstract: A method for data transmission via several data channels in a network linking several units to one another, where the units can function as data sources, data sinks or transceivers, includes the steps of arbitrarily assigning a first data channel to a first predetermined one or more connection segments; arbitrarily assigning the first channel to a second predetermined one or more connection segments other than the first predetermined one or more connection segments; and simultaneously transmitting data between two units across the first predetermined one or more connection segments via the first data channel, and between two or more other units across the second predetermined one or more connection segments via the first data channel. The data are transmitted in a first direction over the first predetermined at least one connection segment, and the data are transmitted in a second direction over the second predetermined at least one connection segment, where the first ands second directions are the same.

Abstract: A valve (49) which is intended for insertion into the line connecting a fuel pump to a system of injection valves and which is designed as a pressure-maintaining valve is characterized by a pipe body (50) intended to have a flow passing through it, into which a sleeve (53) is inserted which forms a damping cylinder (55) in a middle region, inside which damping cylinder one end of a blocking body (57) is received so as to be able to slide in the direction of the axis (58) of the pipe body (50). The opposite end of the blocking body (57) is characterized by a sealing body (67) which is formed from an elastomeric material and which cooperates with a valve seat (66) which is allocated a through bore (65) in a transverse wall (63) of the pipe body (50). The blocking body (57) lies against this valve seat under resilient pretensioning and the movement of the blocking body is damped or is accompanied by the lowest possible noise development by reason of the cooperation with the damping cylinder.
Abstract: The invention relates to a membrane filter for water treatment, comprising a head piece including a permeate collecting chamber with a permeate outlet, and at least one fiber bundle made from capillary membranes, which are secured into the head piece with an end that is open towards the permeate collecting chamber and sealed on the opposite end thereof. The head piece contains an air duct to which the mouth piece that protrudes into the fiber bundle is connected with at least one air outlet. At its other end, the fiber bundle terminates in freely movable manner in the untreated water.
Abstract: A gas bag module for a vehicle occupant restraint system includes a gas generator carrier (14) with a base (16) and with a peripheral wall (18), and also a covering cap (24) with a side wall (30) extending from a front wall (26) of the covering cap (24). Detent hooks (32) are formed on the edge of the side wall (30) facing away from the front wall (26), which engage into corresponding detent openings (34) in the base (16) of the gas generator carrier (14).
Abstract: A rear hood assembly system is proposed for vehicles. The rear hood assembly includes a multi-joint link assembly. The multi-joint link assembly couples the rear hood to a vehicle body. The multi-joint link assembly includes a locking link. The locking link can move between a locked position and an unlocked position. When the locking link is in the locked position, a rotary joint pivotably couples the locking link to the vehicle body to raise the rear edge of the rear hood. When the locking link is in the unlocked position, the rotary joint is unlocked.
Abstract: A method and system for outputting data from a computer to an output device, such as a computer, defines a master document in which variable and static data areas are defined. A variable data area is marked and variable data is inserted thereinto to provide a data stream with variable and static data. The marking is used to remove the variable data from the static data. The separated variable and static data is transmitted to the output device such as the printer. The static data is stored at the printer and is not sent to the printer for subsequent documents. The variable data is joined with the static data document by document in the printer.
Abstract: The invention relates to a method according to which print data determine the image elements of a printing format to be printed on a substrate. According to the inventive method, the surface tension of a printing liquid (30, 34) is influenced depending on the printing date that pertains to the respective image element.

Abstract: A method of detecting incomplete edge bead removal from a disk-like object is disclosed. First a peripheral area of a disk-like reference object is imaged. Marks are then defined in the peripheral area of the reference object. Finally, images of peripheral areas of a plurality of disk-like objects of the same batch are recorded. The inspection of the disk-like objects is limited to the locations of the marks defined on the reference object.

Abstract: An apparatus for handling disk-like objects is disclosed, wherein the apparatus consists of at least one load port, one transfer unit, and one system unit. Between the transfer unit and the system unit an internal separating wall is formed. Further, an external separating wall is provided, which is constructed in such a way that it positions the transfer unit in a first partial room and the system unit in a second partial room.
Abstract: In a method for configuration of a device-specific program system, adjusting values that require different loading operations are input during an input phase. The first adjusting value is then transmitted to the device-specific program system. The device-specific program system carries out a loading operation required for the processing of the first adjusting value. The second adjusting value is transmitted to the device-specific program system and a corresponding load operation is carried out. With the method, a user is allowed to input the second adjusting value already before the first loading operation is completed.
Abstract: The invention relates to a card-shaped data carrier consisting of at least one layer (1, 2, 3). Visually readable information in the form of a changed optical characteristic is introduced into the layer. Said characteristic is changed by irreversibly changing the material by means of a laser beam. The absorption capacity of said layer (1, 2, 3) for at least one wavelength (?±?) is at least partially reduced due to the laser radiation.
