The arrangement is inclined so that the movement from the idle to the operating position is in a downwardly inclined direction.

Abstract: A device and process for the determination of the diameters of a crystal that is pulled from a liquified material. In this connection several video cameras are provided, each of which reproduces its own section along the vertical axis of the crystal or in a direction vertical to it. The image angles of the camera are laid out in such a way that the object to be reproduced completely fills the entire picture plane—at least in one direction. For objects with a small diameter; e.g., the crystal neck, a camera with a small image angle is used, while for objects with a large diameter; e.g., the crystal body, a camera with a large image angle is used.

Abstract: A circuit board test apparatus comprises a plurality of circuit board test points. The test apparatus is provided with an electronic analyzer comprising a plurality of test connections, each circuit board test point being in contact with a test connection via an electrical connection. The electronic analyzer is electrically connected to a grid pattern, an adapter and/or a translator being mounted on the grid pattern. The adapter and/or translator, on which a circuit board to be tested is to be placed, produces an electrical contact from circuit board test points on the circuit board to contact points of the grid pattern. At least two contact points of the grid pattern are electrically connected to each other.

Abstract: A gas bag module comprises a gas bag which has a front wall for the impact of an occupant. The gas bag is formed by a gas bag wall of several fabric parts. At least one of the fabric parts forms the front wall having an opening from which, in an inflated state of the gas bag, a depression originates, which is formed in that a center section of the gas bag wall on inflation is prevented from a free movement and is held back. The gas bag has around the depression an annular chamber which is to be filled. The opening is constructed in a slit shape.

Abstract: An inflatable occupant protective cushion for use in an upper side area in vehicles beneath a vehicle roof edge comprises at least one inflatable chamber that has a wavy contour along an edge facing away from the roof edge. The chamber when inflated has a volume not exceeding 30 liters, the wavy contour defines a height between a wave crest and a wave trough that amounts to at least 50 mm, and the wavy contour has a number of waves that is less than 10.

Abstract: A gas bag module comprises a gas bag, a first ejection channel, in which part of the gas bag is located, and a flexible cover surrounding the gas bag in areas which are not located within the ejection channel. The cover is provided with a tearing line which allows the gas bag to emerge from the cover.

Abstract: A gas bag restraint device for restraining an occupant comprises a gas bag module, which has a gas generator and a gas bag with a gas bag wall. The gas bag wall has a front wall facing the occupant, which front wall has a center section with a depression, in relation to an inflated state of the gas bag, so that an annular gas bag chamber surrounding the depression is formed. The device further comprises a module covering which on inflation of the gas bag opens an outlet opening, and a fastening device for the center section, with which the center section is prevented from a movement out of the gas bag module even in the inflated state of the gas bag, so that the depression is formed. The fastening device comprises a reinforcement insert integrated into the module covering and fastened to the gas bag module.

Abstract: The invention relates to a knee restraint device for the knee protection of occupants in motor vehicles, comprising a load distribution plate for direct contact with the knees of the occupant. The knee restraint device further comprises a drive device which in a cage of restraint moves the load distribution plate from a starting position toward the knees up to a restraint position. A retracting device is provided which moves the load distribution plate from the restraint position back toward the starting position.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method for operating a household dishwasher, said dishwasher being equipped with a program selection device and a combined device for adding a detergent and a clear rinse agent to the washing area. The aim of the invention is to improve the cleaning effect. To this end, the clear rinse agent is added not only once during the last wash cycle, but on several occasions at various times during the wash program. Each of these processes is characterized by an adjustable number of equal quantities or a non-adjustable number of variable quantities of a clear rinse agent. A metering device for carrying out the inventive method comprises a reservoir, a temporary storage unit and a metering chamber. Both the temporary storage unit and the metering chamber can be configured with an adjustable volume.

Abstract: A continuously variable transmission with two adjustable pulleys and an endless torque-transmitting chain trained over the pulleys has a torque sensor which transmits variable torque from the rotary output element of a prime mover (such as the engine of a motor vehicle) to the axially movable flange of one of the pulleys. The torque sensor comprises one or more rolling elements and cam faces and/or guide surfaces which confine the rolling element(s) to movements radially and/or axially of the respective pulley. At least the rolling element(s) and those components of the torque sensor which define the cam faces and/or the guide surfaces of the torque sensor are confined in a fluid-containing plenum chamber adjacent the axially movable flange of the one pulley to thus achieve a pronounced reduction of space requirements of the unit including the one pulley and the torque sensor in the axial direction of the one pulley.
