The device has at least one holding section and the gas bag covering has a portion which covers the gas bag unfolding opening and which has an edge on which the holding section engages. The device is so flexible that the gas bag covering can move out from its mounting formed by the holding section when the gas bag unfolding opening is exposed. The device further comprises a tear-open section and a mounting section, the tear-open section being destroyed on exposure of the gas bag unfolding opening and on displacement of the holding section such that the flexibility of the device being increased. The holding section remains secured to the device by the mounting section after destruction of the tear-open section.

Abstract: The invention is embodied in a hydraulic gear machine, such as for example a pump or motor, with at least one multistage pressure building slot in an axial plate of the housing. The slot is designed to facilitate a gradual rise of fluid pressure between the mating teeth of the gears and to reduce the noise being generated by the machine as a result of advancement of fluid from a suction inlet to an outlet for pressurized fluid.
Abstract: The process for detection and for quantitative determination of substances emitted or perspired through the skin is derived from flow diffusion analysis. The measuring system conceived for this purpose uses a diffusion half cell through which an acceptor medium flows and which is closed by a membrane. For the duration of the measurement, the membrane is brought into contact with the skin or a closed gas volume formed over the skin. With the process and the related measuring system, the blood alcohol level can be determined with a good degree of precision indirectly via the quantity of (gaseous) ethanol emitted through the skin.
Abstract: In a printing or copying device which has one or several exchangeable part units with a modular assembly, the part unit to be identified has an identification device with a non-volatile memory for storing function-relevant operating data of the part unit, said operating data being allocated to operating states. The part unit also has a communication interface for detachably connecting the identification device to a process control device of the printing or copying device.

Abstract: A hydraulic gear machine, particularly an internal-gear pump in a vehicular transmission, with an internal gear and an external gear, has a central bearing tube that rotatably supports the external gear and receives the input or output shaft of the transmission. The transmission shaft is rotatably supported in the bearing tube by means of a bearing that is radially interposed between the transmission shaft and the bearing tube.
Abstract: In order to control the ejection of sheets from input compartments in a paper output device belonging to a printing or photocopying system, verification occurs as to whether a previously processed sheet has been removed as soon as it has been established that at least one input compartment is almost empty. Ejection of the sheet immediately following according to the order of processing occurs thereafter. These steps are repeated until the input compartment is empty. The printing operation is then stopped.

Instead of the buckle tensioner a end fitting tensioner can be provided.
Abstract: A method for operating electrographic printers or copiers uses toner particles of two different colors applied to a toner image carrier by at least two developing units. A force field is applied to at least one section of the travel path of the toner particles from a toner container to the toner image carrier to cause the toner particles to be carried in the direction of the toner image carrier. Changing the force field causes an interruption of the transfer of the toner particles with the developer stations are in a rest position.
Abstract: A thermally insulating coating system for curved and/or hardened glass panes includes at least one layer of noble metal enclosed by a lower and an upper blocker layer. An underoxidic NiCrOx layer with a thickness between one Å and two nm is embedded into the noble-metal layer. The advantage is that the optical qualities of the coating system are not influenced by the tempering and curving of the glass pane.

Abstract: A quick-action fastening system for actuating systems, preferably for motor vehicles, and a spring of the quick-action fastening system. The quick-action fastening system has a spring arranged between a fastening plate and the end part of a cable sheathing. The spring braces the end part directly against the actuating plate and has regions by which it secures the end part on the fastening plate radially and axially and prevents the actuating plate from being withdrawn.

Abstract: Connector components, such as pipes, rods or semi-finished products is performed by friction welding with the steps of using a friction element which is arranged in an abutting position between those ends of the components which are to be connected and is rotated about an axis which is common to the components and to the friction element in order to produce a welding temperature by friction heat with compression forces which at the same time act on contact surfaces between the friction element and the component ends, subjecting the connecting component, for adjoining process, after the rotary movement has been stopped to higher compression forces in opposite directions, after reaching the welding temperature within a virtually steady-state temperature area, continuing the welding process with a material of the friction element being removed on surfaces which are involved with the friction process, until the ends of the components to be joined come into contact with one another, thereafter subjecting the compo
Abstract: In a dust precipitation device for filtration of dust created during crystal growth from a melt, cold surfaces are provided as contact surfaces as a part of the gas control geometry, to which the dust can adhere and thus become separated from the transport gas pumped from the processing chamber. Due to cooling of the flow contact surfaces, for example, by a coolant that is supplied via coolant lines blockable by valves, the dust is filtered very effectively from the transport gas. The extraction device has several precipitation chambers located one behind the other for the passage and filtering of the dust from the transport gas. The individual precipitation chambers are connected to each other so that they can be individually removed from or inserted into the precipitation device, for example, manually.
