Abstract: A three dimensional printing system includes a controller that is configured to (1) receive an incoming slice data array that defines an initial two dimensional object having an initial outer boundary; (2) process the incoming slice data array to define a simple outer boundary whereby if the object has two portions defining a channel therebetween, the channel is reduced or eliminated thereby reducing a perimeter of the outer boundary. In one embodiment the object is two objects. If the channel is defined between the two objects, then the processing merges the two objects. If the channel is a concave recess within one object, then the processing reduces the depth of or eliminates the concave recess.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a cloud connection appliance features a processor and a non-transitory storage medium. The non-transitory storage medium comprises management control logic, that when executed by the processor, controls registration with a controller adapted to control data traffic between gateway instance and to establish a communication path including a reverse tunnel with the controller. The controller and cloud connection appliance operate in a client-server relationship with the cloud connection appliance operates as a client when establishing the communication path and operates as a server when receiving control information through the reverse tunnel. The reverse tunnel enables the cloud connection appliance to directly receive the control information from the controller despite the cloud connection application lacking a publicly routable Internet Protocol (IP) address.
Abstract: Elongate blood flash flow paths can be detrimental to the operation of catheter placement systems by delaying the indication time, reducing the efficacy of the vacuum, or increasing the chance of clotting. Catheter placement systems with reduced blood flash fluid paths include blood flash indicators having a proximally slidable syringe barrel and plunger that is fixedly attached to the system housing. By reversing the operation of the blood flash indicator syringe, the clinician maintains the advantages of a visual and tactile feedback while shortening the blood flow path between the needle tip and syringe barrel. Catheter placement systems also include a needle interface structure configured to further shorten the blood flash fluid path.

Abstract: Systems, methods and apparatus are disclosed for automatic signal detection in an RF environment. An apparatus comprises at least one receiver and at least one processor coupled with at least one memory. The apparatus is at the edge of a communication network. The apparatus sweeps and learns the RF environment in a predetermined period based on statistical learning techniques, thereby creating learning data. The apparatus forms a knowledge map based on the learning data, scrubs a real-time spectral sweep against the knowledge map, and creates impressions on the RF environment based on a machine learning algorithm. The apparatus is operable to detect at least one signal in the RF environment.

Abstract: When a parked automotive vehicle is located at a hazard location, both a Cellular Vehicle-to-Everything (C-V2X) modem of the parked automotive vehicle and a Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) engine of the parked automotive vehicle are left on to increase safety, relative to turning the C-V2X modem off, by having the C-V2X modem continue to send C-V2X messages. When the parked automotive vehicle is not located at a hazard location and is located at a known long-parking location, turning off both the GNSS engine and the C-V2X modem to reduce battery-power consumption relative to leaving both the GNSS engine and the C-V2X modem on.
