Abstract: A microprocessor includes execution units that execute macro-operations (MOPs), a decode unit that decodes architectural instructions into MOPs, an instruction fetch unit (IFU) having an instruction cache that caches architectural instructions and a macro-operation cache (MOC) that caches MOPs into which the architectural instructions are decoded. A prediction unit (PRU) predicts a series of fetch blocks (FBs) in a program instruction stream to be fetched by the IFU from the MOC if hit or from the instruction cache otherwise. A branch target buffer (BTB) caches information about previously fetched and decoded FBs. A counter of each BTB entry is incremented when the entry predicts the associated FB is present again. For each FB in the series, the PRU indicates whether the counter has exceeded a threshold for use deciding whether to allocate the MOPs into the MOC in response to an instance of decoding the instructions into the MOPs.

Abstract: Systems and methods according to one or more embodiments are provided for annealing a chalcogenide lens at an elevated temperature to accelerate release of internal stress within the chalcogenide lens caused during a molding process that formed the chalcogenide lens. In particular, the annealing process includes gradually heating the chalcogenide lens to a dwell temperature, maintaining the chalcogenide lens at the dwell temperature for a predetermined period of time, and gradually cooling the chalcogenide lens from the dwell temperature. The annealing process stabilizes the shape, the effective focal length, and/or the modulation transfer function of the chalcogenide lens. Associated optical assemblies and infrared imaging devices are also described.

Abstract: A method for merging buffers and associated operations includes receiving a compute graph for a reconfigurable dataflow computing system and conducting a buffer allocation and merging process responsive to determining that a first operation specified by a first operation node is a memory indexing operation and that the first operation node is a producer for exactly one consuming node that specifies a second operation. The buffer allocation and merging process may include replacing the first operation node and the consuming node with a merged buffer node within the graph responsive to determining that the first operation and the second operation can be merged into a merged indexing operation and that the resource cost of the merged node is less than the sum of the resource costs of separate buffer nodes. A corresponding system and computer readable medium are also disclosed herein.

Abstract: Systems and methods for non-blocking synchronization of secure customer data of an enterprise data storage. A first local data storage is established that can be used offline that includes a subset of secure customer data from the enterprise data storage. A second local data storage is established that includes the subset of secure customer data from the enterprise data storage. A data object record in the second local data storage is modified, and creates an associated entry in a tracking table, wherein entries in the tracking table maintain data object record modifications in the second local data storage. The first local data storage is cloned to create a third local data storage. Each entry in the tracking table is executed to modify the third local data storage. The first local data storage is deleted and the modified third local data storage replaces the deleted first local data storage.

Abstract: Compensating a speech signal for the presence of a speaker mask includes receiving a speech signal, dividing the speech signal into subframes, generating speech parameters for a subframe, and determining whether the subframe is suitable for use in detecting a mask. If the subframe is suitable for use in detecting a mask, the speech parameters for the subframe are used in determining whether a mask is present. If a mask is present, the speech parameters for the subframe are modified to produce modified speech parameters that compensate for the presence of the mask.
