  • Patent number: 10565193
Abstract: The present invention is related to a method for load balancing and connection multiplexing structured query language (SQL) queries among a plurality of database servers. A device intermediary to a plurality of clients and a plurality of database servers receives an SQL query to access a database provided by the plurality of database servers from a client via a first connection established between the device and the client. The device identifies for the SQL query a policy for selecting among the plurality of servers. The policy includes an expression to identify predetermined data from content of the SQL query. The device may select a server from the plurality of servers based on applying the expression of the policy to content of the SQL query and forward the SQL query to the selected server via a second connection established between the device and the selected server.

  • Patent number: 10563427
Abstract: An integrated adjustable keeper shim for an electric strike is provided. The keeper shim may be included in a keeper assembly of the electric strike, wherein the electric strike includes a housing defining an entry chamber that operates in conjunction with a latch of a lockset. The engaged position of the latch secures a door within the entry chamber when the door is in a closed state. The keeper assembly comprises a keeper rotatably mounted to the housing, and is movable between a locked position and an unlocked position. The keeper retains the latch in the entry chamber when the keeper is in the locked position and the latch is in the engaged position. The keeper shim is adjustably mounted to the keeper, wherein a position of the keeper shim relative to the keeper is selected to minimize a gap defined between the keeper shim and the latch.

  • Publication number: 20200049702
Abstract: A novel detection system and method is presented, where a two-bead receptor method is used for capturing pathogens, with one type of bead being magnetic and having a size of 3 microns or smaller, and the other type being polymeric and having a size of 3 microns or larger. The first type is used to concentrate a pathogen; the latter is used to create a detectable signal. Fast sensitive detection is achieved by collecting the optical signal created by the distortion of a homeotropically aligned chromonic azo dye in the presence of captured pathogens.

  • Patent number: 10558986
Abstract: Systems and methods are described herein for communications bandwidth enhancement using Orthogonal Spatial Division Multiplexing (OSDM). For example, large sparse antenna arrays may be able to distinguish between signals emitted by multiple nearly collocated antennas, even if the signals have the same frequency, polarization, and coverage. Thus, the use of a large sparse antenna array may be able to resolve/isolate individual antennas on a single platform, allowing for OSDM, analogous to Orthogonal Frequency Divisional Multiplexing (OFDM). Using OSDM, multiple antennas on the same vehicle are able to reuse the same frequencies/polarizations without interference, thereby increasing spectrum availability while still providing the same transmitter power spectral density and total RF power emission.

  • Patent number: 10558972
Abstract: Techniques for processing images of documents captured using a mobile device are provided. The images can include different sides of a document from a mobile device for an authenticated transaction. In an example implementation, a method includes inspecting the images to detect a feature associated with a first side of the document. In response to determining an image is the first side of the document, a type of content is selected to be analyze on the image of the first side and one or more of regions of interests (ROIs) are identified on the image of the first side that are known to include the selected type of content. A process can include receiving a sub-image of the image of the first side from the preprocessing unit, and performing content detection test on the sub-image.

  • Patent number: 10557857
Abstract: Disclosed are embodiments of a lateral flow test strip (LFTS) platform which measure osteocalcin (OC) and deoxypyridinoline (Dpd) in saliva to identify early indications of bone loss and minimize bone fracture risk associated with osteoporosis. The OC assay embodiments are based on the experimentally identified optimal markers which exhibit selectivity with very low false positives, and sensitivity relevant to clinical requirements. A prospective clinical study sampling of 20 patients demonstrated excellent correlation of OC in saliva with bone mineral density (BMD). Salivary OC and Dpd levels were validated with a standard commercial ELISA kit against serum (OC) and urine (Dpd).
