  • Patent number: 10153989
Abstract: The PCS and FEC layers are combined into a single layer and the number of lanes is set at four lanes. The combination allows removal of many modules as compared to a serial arrangement of a PCS layer and an FEC layer. The reduction in the number of lanes, as compared to 100 Gbps Ethernet, provides a further simplification or cost reduction by further reducing the needed gates of an ASIC to perform the functions. Changing the lanes in the FEC layer necessitates changing the alignment marker structure. In the preferred embodiment a lane zero marker is used as the first alignment marker in each lane to allow rapid sync. A second alignment marker indicating the particular lane follows the first alignment marker.

  • Publication number: 20180347342
Abstract: In an embodiment of the present invention utilizes a frac plug having a large diameter through bore wherein the through bore is at least 75% of the outer diameter of the plug. A tracer assembly is then affixed to a lower end of frac plug. The frac plug tracer assembly is run into a wellbore where the frac plug is then set, perforated, and fracked. The obstruction within the frac plug through bore is then removed. In some instances, the instruction may be a ball, dart, or other obturator and in some instances the obstruction may be a dissolvable plug. With the obstruction within the frac plug through bore removed wellbore fluids from the hydrocarbon formation may flow upward through and around the tracer assembly picking up chemical traces which are then carried to the surface to be analyzed.

  • Publication number: 20180347100
Abstract: The present invention provides a method of treating a commercial or industrial laundry wastewater stream. The method and apparatus treats a commercial laundry waste stream from a commercial washing machine or machines wherein the waste includes total suspended solids, chemical oxygen demand, biological oxygen demand, turbidity, and bacteria. The waste stream is transmitted to a first treatment unit that has a membrane filter that filters particles of between about 6 and 40 nanometers. At the first treatment unit, the waste stream is separated into a permeate stream and a retentate component. The retentate component is transmitted to a second treatment unit that filters particles of between about 3 and 10 nanometers. The permeate stream is then transmitted to a permeate holding vessel after treatment in the second treatment unit. The retentate component is placed in a mixing vessel where it is mixed with a polymer to form a solid waste.

  • Patent number: 10147172
Abstract: When calculating true inter-camera distance, offset images of a reference object such as a lane marker from at least two cameras coupled to an articulating vehicle are overlaid and shifted until the reference objects in each image are aligned. The distance by which the reference object images are shifted, as well as any rotation required to align the images, is used to calculate the actual distance between the cameras and to compensate for average yaw angle between the cameras when positioning the images for digital stitching to generate a composite “surround view” image.

  • Patent number: 10148454
Abstract: The FC port state machine enhanced by determining if various lanes are configured to be operated in 128 Gbps mode by operating as parallel lanes as indicated by using a reserved bit in a link training field. If so and if all of the ports are 32 Gbps ports and pass training, then four lanes can be combined to form a 128 Gbps link. If the ports are configured for 128 Gbps only operation and at least one lane does not negotiate to 32 Gbps or fails training, the link is not activated and none of the lanes are activated. If the ports are configured to do either 128 Gbps or independent operation and at least one lane cannot operate at 128 Gbps, then the lanes operate independently at the negotiated and trained speed. If the lanes are configured for only independent operation the transceiver develops independent links as negotiated.

  • Patent number: 10144660
Abstract: Equipment and methods facilitating suitable orientation of salt-water chlorinators (SWCs) relative to the gravitational field of the Earth are detailed. So orienting an SWC in this manner reduces risk that the volume defined by its gas trap would not be accessible to hydrogen gas generated by the SWC in use. An accelerometer may be employed in connection with the SWC to assist in assessing orientation of the SWC relative to the gravitational field of the Earth.
