Abstract: The invention provides systems and methods for mounting a fuel system to a vehicle. In some embodiments, the invention provides systems and methods for mounting a fuel system comprising a fuel tank to a vehicle chassis using a bracket, which may be a multi-part bracket, and may be referred to as a “drop and go” bracket.
Abstract: The present disclosure describes example magnetic LED lighting systems. A lighting apparatus in accordance with the present disclosure may include LEDs connected in series with a resistor. The LEDs are each coupled, directly or via thermal vias through a mounting element, to one or more magnets. The magnets may serve dual purposes: as a heat sink to dissipate heat and enable LEDs to be used, and as a mounting device to mount the lighting apparatus to a desirable location, such as on an automobile or an industrial machine. The dual-purpose magnets may eliminate the need for an additional heat sink element, thereby reducing weight and/or size of the lighting apparatus.
Abstract: A fluid metering system for accurately and consistently mixing two or more fluids together. The fluid metering system generally includes a closed loop feedback system that monitors the flow rate of the water and the volume of liquid chemical added to the water over a period of time. Based on the measured amount of chemical added to the water over a period of time, the system calculates whether or not an adjustment is required for the next addition of chemical to the water. The present invention utilizes a measuring tube that is filled with a chemical wherein a pressure sensor measures the pressure of the chemical in the measuring tube when filled and after being emptied to calculate the total volume of chemical added to the water.

Abstract: Systems and methods for predictive document coding using continuous active machine learning are described herein. A method uses both a primary queue and a plurality of secondary queues, where each secondary queue is associated with a model for category of documents. The method also repeatedly classifies new batches selected from a large set of documents that have not been reviewed. The classification uses the plurality of models and updates the secondary queues from the best documents in the most recently classified batch. While the method transparently cycles through batches, the most relevant documents are provided to one or more human reviewers from secondary queues via a primary queue. The reviewer confirms relevance or non-relevance in each of the documents for each of the categories. Periodically all the models are retrained using the set of reviewed documents after a selectable number of documents have been reviewed since the most recent retraining.
Abstract: A method of producing a concussion device including providing a structure including a cavity, the cavity having a top opening; providing a first energetic charge disposed in a bottom portion of the cavity; providing an elongated member having a length, a width, and a thickness, with the length being greater than both the width and the thickness of the elongated member, the elongated member removably secured to the structure within the cavity and at least partially overlying the first energetic charge.
Abstract: A system for suspending and powering an electrically-powered fixture, such as a luminaire, with a coaxial suspension cable, and for attaching the fixture to the cable and to a structure, such as a ceiling, using at least one cable gripping devices, such that the height of the fixture may be adjusted. The suspension cable may comprise an inner cable, which may include a plurality of strength strands wound around a conductive strand; and an outer conductor, such as a copper mesh, separated from the inner cable by an insulator layer. The system may include an assembly mounted to the structure and an assembly mounted to the fixture, each assembly configured to grip the inner cable at one end of the suspension cable and to allow a first conductive path to the inner cable and a second conductive path, insulated from the first conductive path, along the outer conductor.
Abstract: A trailer having a liftable first axle and an air suspended second axle includes a controller, a first valve coupled to the first axle and a second valve coupled to the second axle. The controller receives an air suspension exhaust request signal and a pressure signal from an air suspension bellows coupled to the second axle. The controller transmits an air suspension control signal to the second valve in response to the air suspension exhaust request signal and transmits a lift axle control signal to the first valve to lower the first axle in response to the pressure signal being less than a predetermined pressure value.
Abstract: Described herein are methods, apparatuses, and systems that enable a light weight autonomous unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) to process hyperspectral (HSI) data during its flight and send information to the ground computer via radio-link. This capability is not currently available owing to the severe combination of technical constraints: the typical processing power required to analyze HSI data in real time; the small space and power available for the payload in a light-weight UAV; and the limited bandwidth available on the wireless link.
Abstract: A method and system for selectively using different gateways with a diverse terminal includes assigning a diverse channel set to each of a plurality of diverse terminals, and designating a primary gateway and a secondary gateway as either a home gateway or a foreign gateway for the each diverse terminal. During normal operations, link conditions for the channel between each diverse terminal and its home gateway are monitored. Diverse terminals can be reconfigured to communicate with a different their link conditions fall below a predetermined threshold.
Abstract: Automatically diagnosing operation of a communication network, including collecting, during a plurality of time periods, a plurality of Layer-4 and/or Layer-1/-2 statistics for network activity on the communication network; determining a network performance indicator, based on the statistics collected during a first time period included in the time periods and the statistics collected during a second time period included in the time periods and neither overlapping nor consecutive with the first time period; determining whether the communication network has experienced a performance issue based on the network performance indicator; and causing a diagnostic action, a corrective action, or a maintenance action to be performed based on the determination whether the communication network has experienced a performance issue.
Abstract: Hub assembly and propeller blade assemblies incorporating partial hub assembly having a backing plate with a set of partial root seats and a set of clamps selectively operably couplable to the backing plate with each clamp defining a second partial root seat and wherein when a clamp is coupled to the backing plate a root seat is formed, propeller blades having roots are received within the root seats.

Abstract: An aircraft starting and generating system includes a starter/generator that includes a main machine, an exciter, and a permanent magnet generator. The system also includes an inverter/converter/controller that is connected to the starter/generator and that generates AC power to drive the starter/generator in a start mode for starting a prime mover of the aircraft, and that converts AC power, obtained from the starter/generator after the prime mover have been started, to DC power in a generate mode of the starter/generator. A main bridge gate driver is configured to drive a MOSFET-based bridge during start mode using Space Vector Pulse Width Modulation (SVPWM) and during generate mode using reverse conduction based inactive rectification.
Abstract: A rechargeable battery cell having a specific combination of anode, cathode and electrolyte formulation is provided. The electrolyte formulation includes an additive system and a salt system. The additive system includes a first additive containing a sulfonyl group, an anti-gassing agent, and a second additive. The salt system includes a lithium salt and a co-salt. The disclosed electrolyte formulation has reduced gassing and improved performance over a wide temperature range.

Abstract: A controller for an adaptive braking system on a host vehicle identifies a first target in a lane of travel of the host vehicle; monitors for an active braking intervention request; monitors for other targets in adjacent lanes of travel to the host vehicle; and transmits a first braking signal at the output to control a braking action at a first braking level in response to receiving the active braking intervention request and identifying no other targets in adjacent lanes of travel to the host vehicle. If the controller identifies a second target in an adjacent lane of travel, then receives a travel signal indicative of change in the direction of travel of the host vehicle toward the second target; it will transmit a second braking signal to control the braking action at a second braking level. The second level of braking is different than the first level of braking.
Abstract: A method includes receiving source code in a first programming language. The method further includes identifying a design pattern based on a flag included in the source code. The method further includes generating a first translation of the source code in a second programming language, where at least a portion of the second file conforms to the design pattern. The method further includes generating a second translation of the source code in a third programming language. The method further includes outputting first data based on the first translation to a first device and second data based on the second translation to a second device.
