Abstract: Methods and systems for performing named entity recognition are disclosed. One method includes using a multi-task approach to fine-tune a neural network to perform named entity recognition. A multi-task objective function can include a combination of a triplet loss and a named entity recognition loss. The triplet loss can include the use of supplementary texts. The method further includes using the fine-tuned neural network to identify one or more named entities in a text. Aspects of the disclosure also include integrating named entity recognition with one or more other natural language processing tasks.

Abstract: A system includes a plurality of secure gateways that each use a plurality of datasets to determine how to process messages between devices on a network and websites on the internet. A version control server in the system automatically sends a dataset to each secure gateway in the plurality of secure gateways.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining cost efficient order fulfillment system. A list of items is received in a purchase order for delivery. A quality score comprising a shipping history score, an inventory accuracy score, and a handling score is calculated for each retail location. The retail location with the lowest cost and the highest quality score is selected to ship the order.

For example, according to some embodiments described herein, a method includes: causing a first mobile robot to engage with and transport a mobile storage unit to a robotic picking cell, causing a second mobile robot to engage with and transport an outbound container to the robotic picking cell, and causing the picking robot to transfer a sellable unit from the mobile storage unit to the outbound container.

Abstract: Order data specifies one or more items to be purchased from one or more source locations in a supply chain for a destination location. One or more constraints are received for the order in the supply chain. Travel path are determined for the item to reach the destination location, the travel path defining a plurality of facilities and a plurality of travel legs that together define a travel path for the item to be shipped from a source location to a destination location. One or more milestones for the travel path are selected based on the constraints. One or more other milestones for the travel path are selected based on the constraints. One of the milestones is an inventory readiness date that specifies a first calendar date on which an order of items should be ready at each items' respective destination location.

Abstract: A third party item listing management system usable for verification of third party items to be included on a retailer website includes an application programming interface and an item verification pipeline. The application programming interface is accessible by a plurality of third parties and is configured to receive item data associated with one or more items. The item verification pipeline is configured to receive the item data and call an item validation pipeline, the item validation pipeline includes a plurality of item validation stages including a field verification. At the field verification stage, data is extracted from at least one of an item image or text associated with the item. The data extracted is compared to item data obtained from an independent verification source to confirm the accuracy of the item data provided by the third party.

Abstract: A network security system centrally manages security packages and deploy them to a network host that is identified as potentially compromised. A security package is selected or assembled to be targeted to the identified host. Security packages are designed to isolate identified hosts from other network resources and collect forensic information from the hosts without interfering with operations of the hosts. Once forensic information is collected, software packages can be dissolved from hosts. Collected forensic information can be used to analyze and mitigate threats on hosts.

Abstract: Computer-implemented methods, computer program products and computer systems for facilitating a customer's online purchase of school supplies listed on one or more generic teacher school supply lists using an online store's website. The computer-implemented methods, computer program products and computer systems provide a user access to select one or more teacher's generic school supply lists from a plethora of generic school supply lists. Online retailer's products are indexed against items on the teacher's generic school supply list so that after user selection of a particular teacher's generic school list, the user is provided with one or more graphical user interfaces identifying all matching items of the retailer for a given teacher's school supply list. The customer is presented with one or more graphical user interfaces that allow the user to purchase the matching items. UPC codes can be used to index a retailer's product to a corresponding item on a teacher's generic school supply list.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes periodically receiving a batch product presentation message comprising at least one of a presentation minimum for a plurality of products in a retail store and the facing quantity for a plurality of products in the retail store. A stream of product presentation messages is formed from the batch product presentation message. For each product presentation message, content of the product presentation message is used to identify a respective quantity of a product that is to be moved to the sales floor.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein relate to managing transportation of loads of items within a retail supply chain. A unified load tracking system aggregates information from multiple supply chain computing systems for presentation on a user interface accessible by multiple users. One user interface provide access to a multitude of information that is interconnected by a common, unique identifier for each movement of a load between an origin and destination. A load board is also provided which automates the spot market auction process and load tender process between carriers and a retail enterprise transportation management system.

Abstract: In some implementations, a method performed by data processing apparatuses includes receiving configuration data for a preconfigured data connector, including connection parameters, time interval parameters, and data transformation parameters. The connection parameters are used to establish a connection to a bulk data source. In response to determining that an amount of time has elapsed that corresponds to the time interval parameters, bulk data is retrieved from the bulk data source for a given time interval, and the retrieved bulk data is transformed in accordance with the data transformation parameters. Based on transforming the retrieved bulk data, a data metric is generated that condenses the retrieved bulk data. A predetermined predicted metric value is received from a prediction data source for the data metric for a time interval that corresponds to the given time interval, and the predicted metric value is stored with the measured metric value.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes scanning changed computer instructions to detect vulnerabilities when the changed computer instructions are committed to a version control repository wherein the changed computer instructions comprise changes to a previous version of computer instructions. A vulnerability associated with an open issue for the previous version of computer instructions is determined to not be present in the vulnerabilities detected in the changed computer instructions and computer instructions are sent to close the open issue automatically based on the determination that the vulnerability is not present in the changed computer instructions.

Abstract: In one implementation, a system for providing product suggestions to provide to a customer during a checkout process at a retail store includes a checkout configuration that includes a point of sale terminal, a scanner to scan products, a scanning preparation area where products to be scanned are positioned, and a customer-facing device. The system can further include one or more product sensors to capture and transmit product signals. The system can also include a product identification system that is programmed to identify the products contained in the scanning preparation area. The system can further include a product recommendation engine that is configured to identify contents of a customer cart from the products contained in the scanning preparation area; determine product recommendations based, at least in part, on the contents of the customer cart; and transmit the product recommendations to the customer-facing device for display to the user.
