Abstract: A method evaluating a strength of a textile for use in articles of clothing representative of normal wear and tear and comprising testing samples including the textile treated with an application of polyethylene, the untreated textile, and/or the textile being washed and dried one or more times; and/or where the textile has been conditioned. Each sample tested is weighed prior to and after abrasion resistance testing is conducted on each sample. The samples are each abraded with an abrasion resistance testing machine that has been modified with ISO test heads and an abrasive surface having a plurality of abrasion layers thereon. A number of rubs of abrasion between the abrasive surface and the test sample is pre-selected such that the test is run until the selected number of rubs have been completed. A bursting strength test can be further conducted on abraded areas of the testing samples.

Abstract: Methods and systems for managing inventory items within a supply chain are disclosed. One method includes receiving, at a software tool, inputs related to a plurality of inventory items, the inputs including a cost of holding each of the plurality of inventory items at a location type. The method includes determining, individually for each inventory item of a plurality of inventory items, an optimal inventory balance across a plurality of locations, wherein the optimal inventory balance is a predetermined statistical availability level set based on a desired customer availability of the inventory item. The method further includes automatically generating one or more inventory adjustment requests to achieve the optimal inventory balance across each of the plurality of locations for each of the plurality of inventory items.

Abstract: In some implementations, a warehouse management system is used. An order manager receives an order requiring an item to be moved to a first physical location. Data of the order is stored. The data for the order is accessed. A target item matching the required item to be moved is identified. Data representing a logical location of a target item is accessed. The workload manager identifies based on the data representing the logical location of the target item one or more tasks that are configured to move the target item to the first location. The tasks can be performed to move the target items to the first location.

Abstract: Methods and systems for providing inventory availability information to a web server from a plurality of inventory servers and/or intermediate servers. Inventory availability information may be retrieved from different sources, depending on whether the item is considered a high-traffic item. A high-traffic item may be one, for example, that is extremely popular, of limited release, on sale, or has a limited inventory.

Abstract: A third party item listing management system useable for validation of third party items to be included on a retailer website is disclosed. The third party item listing management system includes an application programming interface (API) accessible by a plurality of third parties and configured to receive item data. An item management process receives the item data and calls an item validation pipeline which includes a plurality of item validation stages including an item legalization stage. In the item legalization stage, the item data and the identity of the third party are validated against a plurality of item listing rules to determine whether the one or more items are allowed to be offered via the retailer website by the third party. The item listing rules can include a rule preventing the third party from listing an item included in a core item collection offered by the retailer via the retailer website.

Abstract: A header box for a retail display structure comprising a front panel, a rear panel, and a bottom panel. The rear panel is formed coplanarly with the front panel and the bottom panel and is folded about a first fold line of the header box relative to the front panel to extend entirely spaced from and substantially parallel to the front panel. The rear panel defines a depending flange extending downwardly from a remainder of the rear panel. The bottom panel is folded about a second fold line of the header box to extend between the rear panel and the front panel and is positioned above a bottommost edge of the front panel and above the depending flange of the rear panel. A reception cavity for receiving a cross bar of the retail display structure is formed between the front panel and the depending flange and below the bottom panel.

Abstract: A presentation portfolio includes a first panel, a second panel, a binding member, and a locking member. The first panel defines an interior surface and a longitudinal edge extending along a side of its interior surface. The second panel defines an interior surface and a longitudinal edge extending along a side of its interior surface. The binding member rotatably couples the first panel with the second panel such that the presentation portfolio is movable between an open orientation and a closed orientation. The locking member is initially slidably coupled to first panel by receiving a portion of the longitudinal edge of the first panel within an elongated channel thereof. When the presentation portfolio is in the open orientation, the locking member is slidable between an unsecured position and a secured position in a manner selectively securing the first panel and the second panel adjacent one another.

Abstract: A website anomaly test is performed by automatically checking that a website has not been compromised by malicious code. A system can test a dynamic behavior of a website that indicates a functional user flow through the website. A set of rules are applied against a log of dynamic behavior of the website, as well as static code of the website, to identify potential compromise by malicious scripts.

Abstract: Event-based replenishment simulation for an enterprise supply chain is described. On a per item, per node, per epoch basis, the simulation may generate a stream of action events based on forecasted demand, supply chain logic, and policy inputs that are applied to a current-run state of the supply chain in order to yield a stream of observation events. Requested metrics may be received, and the observation events may then be transformed to predict values for the metrics as output of the simulation. The simulation may be repeated for a given epoch using discrete demand values from a demand distribution, for a plurality of epochs, and/or across a plurality of items at a plurality of nodes. Resultantly, the simulation output can be used for predicting a future run-state of the supply chain across items and nodes.

Abstract: A computer system receives a data stream with a plurality of packets. In response to receiving the data stream with the plurality of packets, the computer system distributes individual packets of the plurality of packets to the inputs of each of a plurality of processing nodes. Each respective processing node has a local queue storing a respective number of packets to be processed by the respective processing node. Distributing a respective packet of the plurality of packets to the inputs of each of the plurality of processing nodes includes delaying sending the respective packet to each of the plurality of processing nodes by a delay time that is a non-linear function of an average number of packets in the local queues of the respective processing nodes.

Abstract: A tiered display unit includes a frame assembly. The frame assembly includes a first side support structure having a plurality of support members that form at least one tier, a second side support structure having a plurality of support members that form at least one tier and a plurality of cross members that connect the first support structure to the second support structure. Select cross members of the plurality of cross members include a pair of elongated components that are spaced apart from each other and occupy an area that is the same as the non-selected cross members. The space between the pairs of elongated components of the select cross members are configured to receive hooks for mating display accessories to the frame assembly.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes monitoring, by a power monitor on a computer device, for a peripheral device connection. The peripheral device connection connecting a peripheral device to an input/output port of the computer device. The input/output port is configured to provide power from a power supply of the computer device to the peripheral device. In response to the monitoring for the peripheral device connection identifying the peripheral device connection, the method includes determining, by the power monitor, a device type and a negotiated power of the peripheral device as connected. The power monitor determines whether the negotiated power of the peripheral device as connected matches expected power information. In response to determining the negotiated power of the peripheral device does not match the expected power information, the power monitor takes action on the computer device.

Abstract: Methods and systems for analyzing and evaluating item recommendations presented on a web site are disclosed. In one aspect, a user interface is generated for display on a website. Item recommendations personalized for an individual user are displayed within in item recommendation region of the website. Impression, clickstream, and sales data are received from user activity on the website. The impression, clickstream, and sales data are displayed on a dashboard of an administrator user interface. An administrator user can select visualizations to display on the dashboard using selectors for impressions, clicks, sales, users, and time. Two or more sets of data can be overlaid to illustrate relationships between user interactions with recommended items and actual sales of those items. The dashboard is dynamically updated in response to new data received from the website in real-time.

Abstract: Warehouse automation and methods of handling materials can be used to enhance the safety and efficiencies of warehouse operations. For example, automation systems and methods that make depalletization processes safer and more efficient are described. In some examples, a rotary lift table is used to automatically position a pallet load of boxes in an ergonomic position where a worker can readily transfer the boxes from the pallet to another location, such as a conveyor or another pallet. In some examples, a work cell for a worker includes two of the rotary lift tables that function in that manner.

Abstract: A network based order fulfillment systems having an improved user interface at both a customer device and at an order fulfillment location employee device. Both customer and employee devices scan collect user input and other information using one or more sensors of the user devices to provide proper notifications to both the customer and the employee based on the actions of each. Location information for a customer computing device can be used to continually update ETA and time since arrival information displayed at the employee's computing device.

Abstract: Examples disclosed herein are relevant to systems, methods, and other technology for determining furniture compatibility. For example, graph neural networks (GNNs) that leverage relational information between furniture items in a set may be used as models to predict a compatibility score indicative of visual compatibility of furniture items across the set. In one implementation, the GNN-based model can extend the concept of a siamese network to multiple inputs and branches and use a generalized contrastive loss function. In another implementation, the GNN-based model learns both an edge function and the function that generates the compatibility score. The predicted compatibility score can be used for a variety of purposes, including furniture item recommendations.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method includes receiving a request to provision a set of storage volumes for a server cluster, wherein the request includes an identifier for the server cluster and generating a provisioning work ticket for each storage volume in the set of storage volumes, each provisioning work ticket including the identifier for the server cluster. The provisioning work tickets are provided to a message broker. Multiple volume provisioning instances are executed such that at least two of the volume provisioning instances operate in parallel with each other and such that each volume provisioning instance receives a respective provisioning work ticket from the message broker and attempts to provision a respective storage volume of the set of storage volumes for the server cluster in response to receiving the volume provisioning work ticket.

Abstract: The systems and methods described herein relate to managing transportation of loads of items within a retail supply chain. A unified load tracking system aggregates information from multiple supply chain computing systems for presentation on a user interface accessible by multiple users. One user interface provide access to a multitude of information that is interconnected by a common, unique identifier for each movement of a load between an origin and destination. A load board is also provided which automates the spot market auction process and load tender process between carriers and a retail enterprise transportation management system.
