  • Patent number: 9687914
Abstract: A drilling tool includes a spindle, a housing at least partly housing the spindle, a feed gear drivingly connected to a motor and threaded around the spindle to feed the spindle in an axial direction of the spindle by mutual rotation between the feed gear and spindle during a drilling process, and a micro peck unit which includes an undulated cam profile and a follower arranged to bear against the cam profile, and which produces an oscillating movement of the feed gear and the spindle upon rotation of the feed gear during a drilling process. The micro peck unit further includes interposable rolling elements arranged to be re-positioned into a gap between two circular contact surfaces in order to separate the cam profile from the follower, such that no oscillating movement is produced by the unit when the interposable rolling elements are positioned inside the gap between the contact surfaces.

  • Patent number: 9688039
Abstract: The tire has a tread with a tread surface and at least one groove which has a bottom wall and two lateral walls. At least one flexible wall is arranged in the groove in such a way that as liquid flows, the flexible wall flexes to allow the liquid to pass. After molding, the tire has a connecting element with a thickness which is equal to that of the bottom wall so that, after vulcanizing, the connecting element connects the lateral walls to the bottom wall over a given depth. The connecting element is then cut at its junction with each of the lateral walls of the groove so as to obtain the flexible wall.

  • Patent number: 9689779
Abstract: A method for testing a tire's resistance to pressure loss following a puncture includes inserting a plurality of puncturing objects through a wall of the tire, running the tire with the puncturing objects therein over a given distance with a regulated inflation pressure, stopping the running of the tire, and determining a pressure loss resistance index for each puncture based on an estimate of a leak rate of the puncture. In a first phase of the method, the puncturing objects are made up of pointed smooth-walled objects, such as nails, and the running is performed in such a way that the puncturing objects are not ejected during running. In a second phase of the method, the puncturing objects are made up of objects that are pointed but have walls bearing a screw thread, such as screws, and the running is performed at speeds of below 80 km/h.
