Abstract: The problem addressed by the present invention is to provide a high heat-resistant phthalocyanine. The phthalocyanine is separated by mixing a phthalocyanine separation solvent and a phthalocyanine solution wherein a phthalocyanine starting material is dissolved in a solvent. The phthalocyanine is wherein having high heat resistance, the decomposition temperature of the separated phthalocyanine being at least 10° C. higher than the decomposition temperature of the phthalocyanine starting material. Also, the phthalocyanine solution may be the result of dissolving at least two types of phthalocyanine starting material in the solvent, the separated phthalocyanine being wherein containing a solid solvent of the at least two types of phthalocyanine starting material and by the decomposition temperature of the separated phthalocyanine being at least 10° C.

Abstract: The present invention includes a method for testing a tire on a tire testing surface, the method comprising the steps of: providing a tire testing surface arranged along a tire testing device; providing a tire having a radially outer annular side comprising a road-engaging surface; engaging forcefully the tire against the tire testing surface, whereby the forceful engagement generates a tire footprint comprising an area of contact between the road-engaging surface of the tire and the tire testing surface; rotating the tire and along the tire testing surface while engaged according to the prior step; and, applying a particulate material along the footprint, the particulate material comprising kaolinite. In other embodiments, particulate material similar to kaolin or kaolinite is employed by such methods in lieu of kaolin or kaolinite.

Abstract: The subject invention includes methods and apparatus for joining treads. Such methods include the step of providing a first tread portion and a second tread portion for forming a joined tread, each tread portion comprising a section of tire tread extending lengthwise from a terminal end. Additional steps include providing a first fixture configured to retain the first tread portion and a second fixture configured to retain the second tread portion and securing the first tread portion into the first fixture and securing the second tread portion into the second fixture, each of the first and second fixtures being arranged within the first and second fixtures such that the terminal end of each tread portion is in communication with a joining side of each fixture. Abstract: A method of obtaining high clamp force accuracy at a threaded joint mounting process by a power tool includes: registering, during a certain interval of the mounting process, tightening and loosening torques applied on the joint, rotational movement of an output shaft relative to a housing, and housing angular displacements about a rotation axis and in relation to an immobile point; calculating output shaft true rotational movements by comparing its rotational movements relative to the housing with the registered housing angular displacements; comparing the applied tightening and loosening torques during the certain interval to determine a clamp force related tightening torque; relating the determined tightening torque to the calculated output shaft rotational movements to determine a clamp force coefficient of the threaded joint; and completing the mounting process by tightening the joint to a target clamp force level by applying a determined clamp force coefficient based torque.
Abstract: A tire work stand comprises a frame for supporting the work stand on a ground surface and for attaching a set of components to the tire work stand. A plurality of rollers is attached to the frame to support a tire above the ground surface and to permit rotation of a tire during inspection of the tire. A ramp is configured to have a first ramp end capable of extending from the ground surface and a second ramp end extending to a position proximal to the frame. A bridge is configured to have a first bridge end extending from the second ramp end and a second bridge end extending to a position proximal to a surface of at least one of the rollers, wherein the bridge acts to inhibit rotation of the roller during loading of the tire and further permits rotation of the tire after the tire has been loaded on the tire work stand.
