Abstract: Apparatuses, systems, and methods for dual processor single board computers are provided. For example, a dual processor single board computer may include a management processor with associated memory, an application co-processor with associated memory, and a plurality of bus switches. The dual processor single board computer may be used in devices that may be exposed to radiation, such as satellites. During a radiation event, the management processor may continue operation and isolate the application co-processor and certain memories to cease operation to increase the amount of radiation safely received before damage. After the radiation event, the management processor may reboot the application co-processor, and update applications to allow a device to continue its mission.

Abstract: A device for delivery of a therapeutic agent to a surgical cavity, including: a porous, mucoadhesive, freeze-dried polymeric matrix having first and second opposed surfaces, the matrix formed by a composition including chitosan; a plurality of particles embedded within the matrix, the particles containing the therapeutic agent and having a coating around the therapeutic agent, the coating including chitosan. The first surface of the matrix is configured to be applied to the surgical cavity; the device releases the particles through the first surface; the device is also sterilized and provides release of approximately 20% to 100% of the therapeutic agent within 20 minutes of application to the surgical cavity.
Abstract: Representative implementations of techniques and devices are used to reduce or prevent conductive material diffusion into insulating or dielectric material of bonded substrates. Misaligned conductive structures can come into direct contact with a dielectric portion of the substrates due to overlap, especially while employing direct bonding techniques. A barrier interface that can inhibit the diffusion is disposed generally between the conductive material and the dielectric at the overlap.

Abstract: A system and method are disclosed for generating hyperspectral images from RGB (red-green-blue) images. A set of data includes training hyperspectral images and their corresponding RGB images. A spectral band grouping is performed on the training hyperspectral images based on a correlation coefficient of spectral bands. A decomposition network generates a reconstructed hyperspectral image, while a fine-tuning network creates reconstructed RGB images. A quality assurance system analyzes spectral consistency, noise levels, and RGB reconstruction accuracy to generate quality metrics. These metrics guide network weight adjustments to improve reconstruction accuracy.
Abstract: Techniques are described for generating parallel data for real-time speech form conversion. In an embodiment, based at least in part on input speech data of an original form, a speech machine learning (ML) model generates parallel speech data. The parallel speech data includes the input speech data of the original form and temporally aligned output speech data of a target form different than the original form. Each frame of the input speech data temporally corresponds to the corresponding output speech frame of the target speech form and contains a same portion of the particular content. The techniques further include training a teacher machine learning model that is offline and is substantially larger than a student machine learning model for converting speech form. Transferring “knowledge” from the trained Teacher model for training the Production Student Model that performs the speech form conversion on an end-user computing device.

Abstract: A dynamic edge enhancement system includes a light sensor, a circuit, and a microcontroller. The light sensor is operational to generate a light background signal by measuring an ambient light falling on a display. The circuit is operational to generate a histogram of gray shade values in multiple frames of an input video signal received by the circuit, detect multiple edges in the input video signal, enhance the multiple edges in response to a gray shade transfer table and an edge mask strength value, and generate an output video signal suitable to drive the display after the enhancement of the edges. The microcontroller is operational to generate the gray shade transfer table based on the histogram generated by the circuit, and generate the edge mask strength value in response to the gray shade transfer table, the light background signal, a night luminance threshold value, and a day luminance threshold value.
