  • Patent number: 11456050
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a memory and a controller are provided which allow sub-blocks with different sub-block addresses to be linked across multiple planes to form metablocks. The memory includes multiple blocks in different planes, where each of the blocks includes multiple sub-blocks. The controller links a first sub-block in a first plane and a second sub-block in a second plane with different sub-block addresses to form the metablock. After forming the metablock, the controller programs different word lines in the first and second sub-blocks when writing data to the metablock. Thus, the controller may write data to linked or relinked metablocks with different sub-block addresses, thereby improving die yield and memory capacity of the storage device.

  • Patent number: 11453603
Abstract: A treatment for a large body of water to make the water suitable for recreational purposes is disclosed. A sedimentation zone and a dissipation zone are designated in the water body. A disinfection method based on a CT index and a flocculant composition are utilized in the sedimentation zone to aid in the settling of different microorganisms and/or contaminants. Also, the water in the sedimentation zone is minimally disturbed to facilitate the sedimentation process. A permanent chlorine residual is maintained in the dissipation zone by adding an efficient amount of a chlorine disinfectant such that at least a 0.5 mg/L free chlorine level is maintained in the water volume. Water is injected into the dissipation zone by means of one or more inlet nozzles. Along with natural currents produced by winds and water temperature differences, a water dissipation pattern from within the dissipation zone into the sedimentation zone is generated.

  • Patent number: 11453010
Abstract: In an apparatus and process described, an organic fraction of solid waste is separated from light contaminants such as plastics and heavy contaminants such as grit. The organic fraction is subsequently processed by anaerobic digestion, which converts volatile solids to gas. In a first stage of the process, the waste is processed through a separator such as a vertical mill, which removes light fraction contamination, reduces organics particle size and dilutes the waste to thereby produce a slurry. In a second stage of the process, the slurry passes through a grit removal system, which removes heavy and settleable material, for example by way of a hydrocyclone. The light and heavy fraction contaminants are not carried through to the digestion process. The particle size of the organics is also reduced to facilitate digestion and the slurry has a dry solids concentration suitable for anaerobic digestion.

  • Patent number: 11457028
Abstract: Responsive to a user instruction or a security breach occurring in an enterprise computing environment, an emergency shutdown and restore module is adapted to obtain and evaluate an identity population definition to determine a population of identities (e.g., a forensic team) associated with accounts distributed across applications in the enterprise computing environment. The emergency shutdown and restore module is further adapted to determine source systems of such accounts and communicate with those source systems via source-specific connectors. The emergency shutdown and restore module can respectively request the source systems to shut down access to the applications by the accounts associated with the population of identities, or to exclude the accounts associated with the population of identities in shutting down access to the applications.

  • Patent number: 11455124
Abstract: Aspects of a storage device including a memory and a controller are provided which re-prioritize commands based on zone properties. The controller receives from a host commands associated with a plurality of zones, allocates the memory into a plurality of zone resources based on zone properties indicated by the host for the zones, and identifies a utilization state of the memory for one of the zones. The controller changes a priority order of the commands based on the zone properties and the utilization state for the one of the zones. The controller then executes the commands in the memory or zone resources according to the priority order. As a result, execution of commands may be balanced between zones and lower latencies may be achieved overall for each zone. Improved performance or throughput of the storage device in handling zone commands may therefore result.

  • Patent number: 11456369
Abstract: Systems and methods are presented herein that facilitate temporally synchronizing, in real time, a separately sourced high quality audio segment of a live event with a video segment that is generated by a recording device associated with a member of the audience. An A-V Synchronization Application may synchronize a video segment of a live event that is generated from a personal electronic device of an audience member with a high quality audio segment that is separately sourced and generated by professional sound recording equipment at the live event. The result of the temporal synchronization is a high fidelity digital audio visual recording of the live event. In various, the audience member may stream, in real-time, the high fidelity digital audio visual recording to an additional electronic device at a different geo-location. In some examples, narrative audio segments may be also included as part of the high fidelity digital audio visual recording.
