Abstract: A mixer nozzle assembly for mixing fluid introduced into a tank having a tank volume therein. The mixer nozzle assembly includes a stationary body and a rotatable body mounted on the stationary body for rotation about an axis in a predetermined direction. The fluid flows through the stationary body to the rotatable body and exits into the tank volume via one or more outlet apertures, thereby causing the rotatable body to rotate in the predetermined direction about the axis. The mixer nozzle assembly also includes a governor subassembly for controlling a speed of rotation of the rotatable body in the predetermined direction about the axis.
Abstract: A system for utilizing a location-based application across a plurality of networks. A target mobile device operates within a target network of the plurality of networks. A requesting device operates within a requesting network of the plurality of networks. The requesting device transmits a location request for a location of the target mobile device utilizing a location-based service application. A gateway operatively communicates with the requesting network and target network. The gateway receives the location request and determines the target network and communication and location technologies utilized by the target network and transmits the request to the target network utilizing the communication location technology for extraction of the location information. The gateway extracts the location information of the target mobile device and transmits the location of the target mobile device to the requesting device for use with the location-based service application.
Abstract: A method embodiment includes receiving, by an access point (AP), a request for an access network query protocol (ANQP) element, and multicasting the ANQP element as an ANQP information element (IE), wherein the ANQP IE is configured in accordance with a format transmittable by the AP in a multicast.
Abstract: Various embodiments enable a media playback device to present a user with the option to add items referenced in a media object, such as a movie, ebook, song, game, or application, to a wishlist for later purchase or sharing. An example system performs content analysis of the media object to determine which items are referenced in the media object and where they are located within the media object. Further, the system can query an electronic marketplace for more information about which specific types, sizes, colors, or other variations of the item are available, as well as information such as price, shipping cost, shipping time, and so forth. In a video media object, for example, the system can present a custom miniature storefront for various scenes or frames in the video that represents items present or referred to in the scenes or frames.

Abstract: An electric machine may employ a distributed bearing, for example spaced radially outwardly of a longitudinal center of a rotor and stator assembly. The distributed bearing may take the form of a wire race bearing, which positions a rotor assembly relative to a stator assembly to maintain an air gap therebetween. The rotor assembly may be concentrically located within the stator assembly. Electrically insulative fasteners may couple a race assembly to the stator or rotor assembly. Compensation fastener assemblies may couple the wire race assembly to the rotor or stator assembly, to compensate for differential expansion for instance thermal differential expansion along a longitudinal axis of the electric machine. The electric machines may be arranged in series, for example with drive shafts arranged along a common axis, and may be coupled to the same source of motion (e.g., propeller of wind turbine, without or with a gear box).

Abstract: A microprocessor includes a plurality of processing cores, each comprising a respective interrupt request input and a control unit configured to receive a respective synchronization request from each of the plurality of processing cores. The control unit is configured to generate an interrupt request to all of the plurality of processing cores on their respective interrupt request inputs in response to detecting that the control unit has received the respective synchronization request from all of the plurality of processing cores.
Abstract: An embodiment holdup time circuit of a bridgeless power factor correction circuit comprises a charge device, an energy storage apparatus and a discharge device. The charge device comprises a first terminal coupled to a bridgeless power factor correction circuit and a second terminal coupled to the energy storage apparatus. The discharge device comprises a first terminal coupled to the energy storage apparatus and a second terminal coupled to the bridgeless power factor correction circuit.
Abstract: A method and apparatus eliminate magnetic domain walls in a flux guide by applying, either simultaneously or sequentially, a current pulse along serially positioned reset lines to create a magnetic field along the flux guide, thereby removing the magnetic domain walls. By applying the current pulses in parallel and stepping through pairs of shorter reset lines segments via switches, less voltage is required.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a data analysis system that may automatically generate memory-efficient clustered data structures, automatically analyze those clustered data structures, automatically tag and group those clustered data structures, and provide results of the automated analysis and grouping in an optimized way to an analyst. The automated analysis of the clustered data structures (also referred to herein as data clusters) may include an automated application of various criteria or rules so as to generate a tiled display of the groups of related data clusters such that the analyst may quickly and efficiently evaluate the groups of data clusters. In particular, the groups of data clusters may be dynamically re-grouped and/or filtered in an interactive user interface so as to enable an analyst to quickly navigate among information associated with various groups of data clusters and efficiently evaluate those data clusters in the context of, for example, a fraud investigation.

Abstract: A switch assembly including a housing. An escutcheon portion on the front surface of the housing has a raised platform. A transition ramp extends from the platform to a rest area and a finger area is adjacent the rest area. A perimeter frame encloses the finger area so that the escutcheon portion defines opposing notches aligned with the rest area. A handle has a hub with an axial bore so that a pivot pin insert through the axial bore rotatably couples the handle to the housing. A finger grip extends from the hub. The finger grip has a surface for selectively abutting against the rest area and a textured portion for manual actuation when a finger in inserted into the finger area.
Abstract: For minimizing the effect of wind on a heat exchanger system having a plurality of finned tube arrays and a plurality of fans, a method includes providing a wind louver below one of the fans. The wind louver is arranged to divert wind flowing in an approximately horizontal direction below the one of the plurality of fans to instead flow in a direction that is more vertically upward as compared to the approximately horizontal direction. Readings of a heat exchanger outlet temperature, ambient temperature, wind, and inlet air pressure are collected and recorded, and compared to previous readings. The louver height is changed if the readings have changed.
Abstract: Methods and systems for producing direct reduced iron having increased carbon content, comprising: providing a reformed gas stream from a reformer; delivering the reformed gas stream to a carbon monoxide recovery unit to form a carbon monoxide-rich gas stream and a hydrogen-rich gas stream; and delivering the carbon-monoxide-rich gas stream to a direct reduction furnace and exposing partially or completely reduced iron oxide to the carbon monoxide-rich gas stream to increase the carbon content of resulting direct reduced iron. The carbon monoxide-rich gas stream is delivered to one of a transition zone and a cooling zone of the direct reduction furnace. Optionally, the method further comprises mixing the carbon monoxide-rich gas stream with a hydrocarbon-rich gas stream.
Abstract: A storage device with a memory may include improved endurance and programming speed by modifying the programming states of the memory blocks. For example, the blocks may be three bit memory blocks, but a dynamic reassignment of verify levels and read margins can result in the block acting like a two bit memory block. Memory blocks may be designed for a certain number of bits per cell (i.e. number of states) and the programming is based on that number. However, single level cell (SLC) programming is still possible in addition to programming according to the number of bits per cell that the memory is designed for. Multiple SLC programming steps can be used to modify the number of states for certain memory cells by the memory controller.
