The coupling assembly further comprises a fixation coupling for fixing the adhesive wafer in the operative position.
Abstract: One embodiment is a system, comprising a first NAS device, a second NAS device. The first and second NAS devices may be configured to be paired with one another to enable an ongoing secure exchange of content (e.g., files, pictures, movies, audio recordings) and NAS settings (e.g., RAID settings, backup schedules, etc.) between the first and second NAS devices across a network. According to one embodiment, through this ongoing secure exchange of content and NAS settings, the second NAS device may become and may be thereafter maintained as a mirror of the first NAS device, such that the second NAS device may be maintained as a drop-in physical and functional replacement for the first NAS device in the event of a failure of the first NAS device.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to technology for configuring programmable logic devices having multiple programmable hardware units configurable in one or more functional modes. The programmable hardware units are coupled to independent switch devices (e.g., multiplexers) that select configuration patterns stored in a common and shared configuration memory. The configuration memory includes a set of configuration registers to store the configuration patterns, which configuration patterns correspond to the one or more functional modes. The configuration registers may be addressed using an index of addresses stored in memory that identify a select line in one of the switch devices for a particular programmable hardware unit. Each select line in a switch device corresponds to a particular one of the configuration registers storing the configuration pattern. The addressed configuration register is accessed to retrieve the configuration pattern and configure the programmable hardware unit.

Abstract: Embodiments are provided for interference cancellation (IC) capability reporting and user equipment (UE) offloading in wireless or heterogeneous networks. In an embodiment, a method performed by a UE includes reporting, to a network, IC capability information of the UE, and receiving, from the network, instructions in accordance with the IC capability information of the UE. A handover procedure is then initiated in accordance with the instructions. In another embodiment, a method performed by a network component includes receiving, from a UE, IC capability information of the UE, evaluating the IC capability information of the UE, and sending instructions to the UE in accordance with the IC capability information of the UE. The instructions determine a handover behavior by the UE.
Abstract: Some embodiments described in this disclosure provide methods and/or systems to facilitate communication between devices. A first device may detect a first event based on an action performed by a user using the first device. The first device may then send information of the first event to a server. The server can then attempt to match the first event with an event from a set of events based on the information of the first event. The first device may receive a response from the server that indicates whether or not the first event matched a second event that was sent to the server from a second device.
Abstract: Devices, systems and methods are disclosed for allowing a mobile device to connect to a network based on data rates. For example, the mobile device may select from available networks based on data rates associated with the available networks. In addition, the mobile device may determine to roam from a current network based on data rates. For example, the mobile device may roam when an expected throughput exceeds an actual throughput or when an anticipated throughput requirement exceeds the actual throughput.

Abstract: A method for determining 3D coordinates of points on a surface of the object by providing a 3D coordinate measurement device attached to a moveable apparatus that is coupled to a position sensing mechanism, all coupled to a processor, projecting a pattern of light onto the surface to determine a first set of 3D coordinates of points on the surface, determining susceptibility of the object to multipath interference by projecting and reflecting rays from the measured 3D coordinates of the points, moving the moveable apparatus under processor control to change the relative position of the device and the object, and projecting the a pattern of light onto the surface to determine a second set of 3D coordinates.
Abstract: Aspects of tag-based product monitoring and evaluation are described. In one embodiment, a system instructs a tag reader to transmit an electromagnetic field and receives a plurality of unique identifiers for a plurality of products from a plurality of tags in response to the electromagnetic field. The plurality of tags may be provided on a plurality of product packages for the plurality of products. The system also identifies the plurality of products using the plurality of unique identifiers and identifies whether a product package of at least one of the plurality of products has been opened based on the plurality of unique identifiers or the product detail data. The system may alert a user as to whether one or more product packages have been opened before purchasing.

Abstract: A content delivery network (CDN) edge server is provisioned to provide last mile acceleration of content to requesting end users. The CDN edge server fetches, compresses and caches content obtained from a content provider origin server, and serves that content in compressed form in response to receipt of an end user request for that content. It also provides “on-the-fly” compression of otherwise uncompressed content as such content is retrieved from cache and is delivered in response to receipt of an end user request for such content. A preferred compression routine is gzip, as most end user browsers support the capability to decompress files that are received in this format. The compression functionality preferably is enabled on the edge server using customer-specific metadata tags.

Abstract: A method for processing, saving and viewing a digital image of a microscope slide includes inserting a microscope slide into a digital slide scanner connected to an acquisition computer. A pre-scan formed from a plurality of image tiles uploaded to a network server while the pre-scan is being generated. The network server analyzes the image tiles in realtime to identify an area of interest. The acquisition computer generates a high magnification local scan of the area of interest. The local scan is formed from a plurality of local image tiles that are uploaded to the network server while the local scan is being generated. Each local image tile is viewable by a client computer in communication with the computer network while the plurality of local image tiles is being uploaded. A raw final image is then saved on the network server independent of the acquisition computer.
Abstract: A device may identify a user among multiple individuals detected by comparing a physiological condition, such as a heart rate, of the multiple detected individuals as detected by a camera of the device with a physiological condition of a user of the device using different sensors. A heart rate may be detected by a camera by monitoring blood flow to an individual's face. A heart rate may be detected by a motion sensor by monitoring vibrations of the device that are in an expected frequency range. If a heart rate of a user matches a heart rate of an individual seen by a camera, that individual may be determined to be the user of the device. The position of the individual may be used to then render a user interface.
