  • Publication number: 20160358664
Abstract: Methods and systems for verifying two or more programming states at the same time are described. During a program verify operation, two or more memory cell threshold voltage levels may be concurrently verified by applying a word line voltage to a plurality of memory cells, applying two or more different bit line voltages to the plurality of memory cells, and sensing the plurality of memory cells while the two or more different bit line voltages are applied to the plurality of memory cells. The bit line voltages applied during the program verify operation may allow a first set of the plurality of memory cells to be sensed at a first voltage level while a second set of the plurality of memory cells are sensed at a second voltage level different from the first voltage level.

  • Publication number: 20160359747
Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and systems for detecting congestion in a mobile network and for determining those end-user mobile devices that are affected. In one embodiment, a server communicates with a set of mobile devices, on which have been installed a suitable client application. At certain times, the server initiates a congestion detection routine. The server may request the mobile devices to report on their current wireless attachment point to the mobile network. The server can then test for congestion by performing a data transfer between itself and the mobile clients, which may be in either direction. The server can use the results to determine whether a given attachment point is congested. In one embodiment, a dynamically selected, random subset of mobile devices for a current attachment point are tested, and the result is imputed to all mobile devices similarly situated.

  • Publication number: 20160358500
Abstract: A situational awareness analysis and fatigue management system including a processor that receives input data from a user, generates a set of algorithms from the input data, calculates outputs of each of the set of algorithms, and generates and displays a dynamic assessment situational awareness (DASA) diagram of the user as a function of situational awareness performance and wakefulness hours of the user from the calculated output. Using the DASA diagram, the processor identifies situational awareness longevity conditions of the user to perform a task, forecasts advanced fatigue conditions of the user based on the identified situational awareness longevity conditions and identifies improvements of situational awareness performance of the user to perform the task. The processor displays the identified situational awareness longevity conditions, the forecast of advanced fatigue conditions and the improvements of situational awareness performance of the user to perform the task to one or more second users.

  • Patent number: 9516410
Abstract: An echo cancellation system that detects and compensations for differences in sample rates between the echo cancellation system and a set of wireless speakers based on a frequency-domain analysis of estimated impulse response coefficients. The system tracks the real and imaginary number components of the coefficients, and determines a “rotation” of the coefficients over time caused by a frequency offset between the audio sent to the speakers and the audio received from a microphone. Based on the rotation, samples of the audio are added or dropped when echo cancellation is performed, compensating for the frequency offset.

  • Patent number: 9514200
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure relate to a computer system and interactive user interfaces configured to enable efficient and rapid access to multiple different data sources simultaneously, and by an unskilled user. The unskilled user may provide simple and intuitive search terms to the system, and the system may thereby automatically query multiple related data sources of different types and present results to the user. Data sources in the system may be efficiently interrelated with one another by way of a mathematical graph in which nodes represent data sources and/or portions of data sources (for example, database tables), and edges represent relationships among the data sources and/or portions of data sources. For example, edges may indicate relationships between particular rows and/or columns of various tables. The table graph enables a compact and memory efficient storage of relationships among various disparate data sources.

  • Patent number: 9513687
Abstract: A microprocessor includes a plurality of semiconductor dies, a bus coupling the plurality of semiconductor dies, and a plurality of processing cores. A distinct subset of the processing cores is located on each of the semiconductor dies. Each die comprises a control unit configured to selectively control a respective clock signal to each of the subset of cores of the die. For each core of the subset, in response to the core writing a value to the control unit, the control unit is configured to turn off the respective clock signal to the core and to write the value over the bus to the control unit of the other die. Collectively all of the control units are configured to simultaneously turn on the clock signals to all of the processing cores after the clock signals have been turned off to all of the processing cores.

  • Patent number: 9515004
Abstract: A thermal interface material is configured for use with an electronic device for transferring heat between heat generating components and heat removing components of the electronic device. The thermal interface material generally includes a first material (e.g., a gap filler, etc.) incorporating a contact resistance reducing material. The contact resistance reducing material operates to fill interstitial voids of surfaces of components in which the first material is installed to thereby reduce surface contact resistance between the first material and the component surfaces. The contact resistance reducing material may be applied to one or more side surfaces of the first material. Or, alternatively, the contact resistance reducing material may be blended in the first material.

  • Patent number: 9512560
Abstract: A short oxygen delignification method employs a mixing assembly including a mixing chamber having an interior wall which is generally symmetrical about a central longitudinal axis. At least one inlet is used to introduce paper pulp, a basic compound, optional steam and an oxygen-containing gas into the mixing chamber. At least one axial baffle is connected to and extends along the interior wall. At least one transverse baffle is connected to and extends from the interior wall transverse to the axis. A rotatable agitator includes at least one agitator baffle extending transverse to the axis at a location in alignment with a respective transverse baffle. This forms at least one gap between the at least one agitator baffle and the at least one respective transverse baffle. The paper pulp fluid is forced to travel through the at least one gap. A short delignification reaction occurs inside the mixing chamber. Delignified paper pulp fluid leaves the mixing chamber through at least one outlet of the mixing chamber.
