Abstract: A chair having a swingable chair back with a top pivot includes a frame having laterally spaced first and second uprights. A back having upper and lower ends is attached to the frame. Also attached to the frame adjacent the lower end of the back is a seat. A pivot assembly couples the first and second uprights to the back and permits pivoting of the back about a substantially horizontal pivot axis. The pivot axis projects laterally of the back and is positioned in the vicinity of the upper end of the back. A biasing device cooperates with the back and normally urges the lower portion of the back forwardly away from a rearward position.
Abstract: Sharing information between a host computer system and a peripheral computer system. Conduit programs running simultaneously on the host computer system synchronize information between the two computer systems. The conduits initiate multiple interleaved requests to transfer information across a single communication link between the two computer systems. Thus, the conduits initiate time multiplex transfers across the single communication link. In general, one or more conduits can perform a non-transfers task while another conduit can simultaneously perform a transfer over the host-peripheral communication link.

Abstract: An integrated power unit for use in a bed of a pickup truck. A lower housing is sized to fit between the rear wheel wells of the pickup truck, and opposed upper housings extend over respective opposed sidewalls of the truck bed. The opposed upper housings are adjustable with respect to the lower housing, so that the integrated power unit may be used with various makes and models of pickup trucks. The lower housing contains an internal combustion engine for generating mechanical power, an alternator and electrically driven compressors. Ducting and baffles facilitate air flow and cooling in the lower housing. A fuel tank is formed by one of the upper housings, and a control panel is located in the other upper housing. Connections for electrical power and regulated and unregulated pneumatic power are available at the control panel.

Abstract: A computer implemented method of implementing a touch screen user interface in conjunction with sensors for a computer system. A touchscreen area is provided for accepting text input strokes and for accepting icon manipulation strokes. A sensor is provided adjacent to the touchscreen area for registering sensor actuations from a user. In implementing the user interface, user input strokes are accepted into the touchscreen input area. User input strokes into touchscreen input area are interpreted as text input strokes when the sensor is actuated by the user during the user input strokes. User input strokes into the touchscreen input area are interpreted as icon manipulation strokes and not text input strokes when the sensor is not actuated by the user during the user input strokes.
Abstract: The present invention provides an improved method for optimizing a quantity of bins used to transfer raw material from a producer to a consumer and to keep inventory at a minimum while optimizing output in a supply and demand manufacturing operation. A method is also provided for optimizing the bin size to keep inventory at a minimum while optimizing output to enhance the economic efficiency of the manufacturing operation.
Abstract: A rotating bath bar and ceiling glass fixture display system including a carousel having a main body portion having an upper surface and an underside for receiving a plurality of glass fixture on upper surface, a main body portion rotating means is mounted to the underside of the main body portion whereby the main body portion rotates about the rotating means. A plurality of the glass fixtures are placed on the main body portion for display.
Abstract: A first pair of axially extending terminals on a high voltage insulation plug designed to mount on an end of a gas discharge lamp are separated from each other by a wall that carries a second pair of axially extending terminals mounted on the wall spaced axially from the first pair, the four terminals are adapted for electrical connection to the gas discharge lamp; and a high voltage insulation socket having four axial passageways each containing an axially movable contact spring biased toward the plug, the terminals and passageways so configured that when the plug is rotated on the socket about a common axis with each terminal axially depressing one of the contacts, protrusions on the second pair can be rotated under shoulders in the socket adjacent to the passageways.
Abstract: A chair having adjustable height arms includes a rigid chair frame having first and second uprights. A back is attached to the chair frame and includes upper and lower ends. A seat is also attached to the chair frame and is adjacent the lower end of the back. Cantilevered to each of the first and second uprights is an arm assembly that projects outwardly therefrom adjacent opposite sides of the seat. Each arm assembly includes a coupling structure that is releasably engaged with a respective upright and is configured to release from the upright when the arm assembly is tilted upward relative to the respective upright to permit the elevational position of the arm assembly to be adjusted.

Abstract: A system of synchronizing multiple devices utilizing a host system. In one embodiment, the present invention first synchronizes a first device with the host system. Next, the present invention synchronizes a second device with the host system. In so doing, the second device receives all changes which were entered directly into the host system, along with changes from the first device as of the last synchronization between the first device and the host system. If desired, the user may then synchronize the first device with the host system to get the changes from the second device. One embodiment of the present invention allows for any number of devices to be synchronized in this fashion, without having to connect the devices together for a single synchronization. Another embodiment of the present invention allows two devices to perform a pseudo-synchronization process.
