Abstract: A system for transporting wet chips to a centrifugal separator where the wet chips are separated into dry chips and fluid with the dry chips being transported to a dry chips site and the fluid recirculated or collected. Preferably, the centrifugal separator, when actuated, serves to generate a pneumatic flow of air through a wet chip conduit whereby the wet chips are pneumatically conveyed to the separator from a source of origin such as a tooling machine station where wet chips are generated. A parts separator may be located at either end of the wet chip conduit.
Abstract: A support rod for enabling a hung curtain to be smoothly drawn has two telescopically connected curtain rod segments and a trolley with at least one roller. In one set of embodiments, an outward facing channel is formed in the wall of the rod for receiving a roller while another rod engaging device can slidably contact the wall of the rod. In another embodiment, a trolley has a roller with wheels which ride on the in-turned edges of the rod which border a downward facing slot though which a curtain hanger projects. Snagging of the trolley is prevented by having the edges of the rod segments horizontally coplanar in one embodiment, and through the use of dual diameter wheels in another embodiment.
Abstract: A water disinfection system includes a housing having a plurality of risers 207 therein for directing independent columns of water from a manifold at the bottom of the housing. An ultraviolet light source 214 is disposed above the risers to treat the water flowing therein. The UV light source may also be in the form of a fiber optic system (FIG. 4) or a mercury arc lamp including a parabolic reflector 64. Each of the risers can also include notches 304 (FIG. 9) for inducing turbulence to the water flowing thereover in order to ensure that all of the microorganisms receive ultraviolet light. The water flow rate and the light intensity may be adjusted to accommodate different levels of water contamination.

Abstract: A slotted holder is positioned in a shipping carton having a tear strip extending along its side walls. Product packages having a stiff thin edge fit within the holder and are held upright through the support of the holder. In use, the tear strip is removed enabling the upper portion of the box to be separated with the lower portion and serve as a display tray.
Abstract: A self supporting lighting fixture and package therefore comprising a package having a top wall spaced from a bottom wall, a hole in the top wall aligned with a hole in the bottom wall and a pair of spaced peripheral side walls interconnecting the top and bottom walls on opposite sides of the package. The package is open adjacent each side wall so that the inner contents can be viewed. A lighting fixture is disposed in the package having a bottom portion resting on the package bottom wall and an integral upper portion extending through the opening in the top wall and out of the package.
Abstract: A freestanding portable lamp package for product display that can be placed on a store shelf or the like. The package is freestanding and protects the product contained therein from damage during shipment and display and prevents the need for an individual to remove the product from such packaging and disturb the contents within, while displaying the product to the public. The package utilizes a minimum of packaging materials. The package features a handle on the back side to make it easy for the customer to carry the product and package.
Abstract: A sterilization system for dental and orthodontic tools is provided with a transport rack dimensionally sized to hold a plurality interchangeable cassettes. The interchangeable cassettes are designed and intended to hold kits of dental or orthodontic tools and are provided with top opening, double-hinged covers which lay flat on the surface when opened and used at a dental workstation.

Abstract: A system and method for utilizing a radiation source for irradiating a product, the system including an radiation reflector comprised of a low Z, high density material. The reflector is positioned to receive radiation penetrating and exiting the product, and the reflector reflects the radiation back to the product to provide additional irradiation energy to the product.
