Abstract: A method and system for synchronizing multiple copies of a database in a network environment wherein each copy can have a customized synchronization rule-set. Specifically, the present invention discloses a method and system for a coordinated “n-way” synchronization of multiple database copies where “n”, the number of copies synchronized, is essentially any number more than two. Further, each database copy is assigned to a priority level that defines the order of synchronization priority. At each priority level, starting with the level with highest priority, the present invention dynamically creates a non-conflicting rule-set upon synchronization of the n-database copies. Thereafter, rule-based synchronization of the n-database copies is performed according to priority order. This process is repeated at each priority level where higher order priority levels have priority over lower order levels in terms of synchronization of the database copies between priority levels.

Abstract: A shade display assembly wherein a rack is mounted to a preexisting display, such as pegboard, in a retail store or the like. The rack has a post on which a shade can be displayed so that it is viewable from all angles. The post extends through the center ring of the hoop of the shade.
Abstract: A system for transporting wet chips to a centrifugal separator where the wet chips are separated into dry chips and fluid with the dry chips being transported to a dry chips site and the fluid recirculated or collected. Preferably, the centrifugal separator, when actuated, serves to generate a pneumatic flow of air through a wet chip conduit whereby the wet chips are pneumatically conveyed to the separator from a source of origin such as a tooling machine station where wet chips are generated. A parts separator may be located at either end of the wet chip conduit.
Abstract: A low-cost tamper-resistant product package is provided. The package comprises a substantially flat thermoplastic sheet forming a package backing, and a molded plastic cover sealed to the backing. The backing and cover are preferably formed of a plastic, such as polyvinyl chloride or polyethylene, that is difficult to puncture, cut or tear. The seal between the backing and cover is preferably difficult to compromise, so that human hands have great difficulty separating the backing and cover. RF welding and ultrasonic welding are preferred methods of sealing the package. The plastic backing is adapted to be printed upon directly. The cover preferably includes a ridge around its perimeter to inhibit bending of the package and assist in package display. The cover also preferably includes at least one bulge, forming therein a hollow recess for housing a product.
Abstract: An electric appliance has a body member and a detachable electric cord. The body member includes a connecting portion having at least one pin member extended therefrom. The electric cord includes at least a first plug member and a second plug member which are electrically connected with each other. The first plug member is electrically connectable to an electric source. The second plug member is releasably engageable with the connecting portion of the body member by a magnetic attracting force between them. The pin member includes a tapered end surface, and the second plug member includes at least one aperture sized to receive the pin of the connecting portion of the body member. The width of the aperture is greater than the width of the pin member by a factor in the range of 1.1 to 5.
Abstract: A scalable vertical DRAM cell structure comprising a scalable trench region and a self-aligned common-drain diffusion region are disclosed by the present invention, in which the scalable trench region comprises a deep-trench region having a vertical transistor and a second-type STI region being defined by a spacer technique. The scalable vertical DRAM cell structure can offer a DARM cell size equal to or smaller than 4F2 and is used to implement two contactless DRAM arrays. A first-type contactless DRAM array comprises a plurality of metal bit-lines integrated with planarized common-drain conductive islands and a plurality of highly conductive word-lines. A second-type contactless DRAM array comprises a plurality of metal word-lines integrated with planarized common-gate conductive islands over common-gate conductive connector islands and a plurality of common-drain conductive bit-lines.
Abstract: A parts separator is provided for separating undesired heavy material from wet chips. The parts separator is adapted to be attached to a centrifugal separator, and includes a first chute member having a top portion and a bottom portion and including spaced open first and second chute ends. The first end is adapted to receive wet chips to be centrifuged and the second end is adapted to be connected to a centrifugal parts separator. The parts separator also includes a heavy material drop out opening disposed in the first chute member bottom portion. The first chute member top has at least one opening disposed therein. The parts separator also includes a second chute member having spaced open first and second ends. The first end of the second chute member is adapted to receive wet chips to be separated and the second chute member end is attached to the first chute member at the location of the opening in the first chute top portion.
Abstract: A package for holding a lamp and collapsible shade where a blank is folded into an open ended generally triangularly shaped box, the lamps and collapsible shade being disposed in the box and the open end of the box being closed off by a foldable panel.
Abstract: A sterilization cassette and a sterilization method for sterilizing, storing, and dispensing dental instruments. The sterilization cassette includes a mounting bar and a locking bar for dental pliers of various types, a removable instrument tray, and a case with a front side which opens and hinges in two places, allowing the cassette to be arranged in horizontal and vertical configurations.
Abstract: A method for the identification of unknown microscopic particles in a fluid. A laser beam (104) is directed through the fluid while particles move through the beam. Light scattered by each particle moving through a short detect zone (114) along the beam (an “event”) is detected by some of sixteen detectors DA-DP to generate data for the event. First, a known specie of particles (e.g. a particular pathogen specie) is placed in pure fluid and a subpattern, or eventvector, of data is recorded for each of multiple events for that specie. Each eventvector represents the outputs of all detectors. The process is repeated for other known species (e.g. algae) likely to be encountered. The group of eventvectors for all selected species is analyzed by an algorithm that determines a projection direction that results in the closest grouping of eventvectors of the same specie and greatest of separation of groups of eventvectors of different species.
Abstract: A method and apparatus for preparing container board having a corrugated medium and at least one liner formed thereon for folding which comprises a tool for displacing in a non-destructive manner the corrugated medium and the liner in a portion of the board to form a curved indentation therein. The device includes a separate tool for forming a line of weakness in the liner along the curved indentation portion of the board. This arrangement increases the dimensional accuracy of the container board by substantially eliminating the occurrences of “false” score lines or rolling scores.

Abstract: The processing system includes a storage device for maintaining entity information including period information indicative of information processing periods for the entity. A scheduling application defines application processing information for a desired processing job and identifies the processing job as being recurrent. A function routine determines recurrence information including a set of processing start times corresponding to the information processing periods and the application processing information associated with the processing job. A launch application accesses the recurrence information to identify a current one of the start times, and submits the processing job corresponding to the current start time for processing.
