Abstract: Provided are methods for simultaneously detecting analytes. The methods include exposing a tip of a nanosensor to a biological sample, measuring ionic current flow through the nanosensor tip to detect a first analyte and a second analyte in the biological sample, and distinguishing the first analyte from the second analyte based on a first diffusion limited current peak resulting from binding of a first specific binding member to the first analyte being distinguishable from a second diffusion limited current peak resulting from binding of a second specific binding member to the second analyte. Sensing apparatuses that find use, e.g., in practicing the methods of the present disclosure, are also provided.

Abstract: Disclosed is a test method for measuring a force situation of a tree-shaped spatial node, and the test method is realized by a reaction frame device. The reaction frame device includes a raft foundation and a reaction frame fixedly mounted on the raft foundation, a cavity is formed inside the reaction frame to accommodate a tree-shaped spatial node; a main pipe of the tree-shaped spatial node is plumb-fastened to the raft foundation, and a force measurement assembly is arranged in an upper space of the cavity, which can simultaneously apply force of a set value to each branch pipe in the tree-shaped spatial node and detect a combined force applied to the tree-shaped spatial node. The method can simultaneously and accurately apply static force to each branch pipe, thereby effectively predicting the overall working condition of the tree-shaped spatial node.

Abstract: The invention discloses a multi-cell digital light processing printer and method controlled by “light field-magnetic field” coupling. The invention couples a magnetic field generating device and a light curing device, and uses the magnetic field to control the material changing of microspheres carrying different cells and different magnetic contents in the vat, so that the material changing process and the printing process are in parallel, and the printing efficiency is improved; at the same time, a single vat is used for non-contact material changing, which reduces cross-contamination and can produce multi-cell biological structures with “high accuracy, high efficiency, and high cell activity”.
Abstract: A video decoding method is configured to reconstruct a current block that is encoded using an intra prediction. The method includes decoding, from a bitstream, direction information indicating a direction of differential coding applied to a residual block of the current block, generating the residual block from residual signals by reconstructing and using the information on the residual signals from the bitstream and using the direction information, inversely quantizing the modified residual block, generating a prediction block for the current block through intra prediction, and reconstructing the current block by adding the prediction block and the inverse quantized residual block.

Abstract: An ablation catheter for treating electrical rhythm disorders includes an array of sensor electrodes to detect electrical signals to determine a location of a target region for treatment. If the catheter is not optimally positioned at the target region, a controller uses the detected signals to guide movement of the catheter towards the target region. Once proper positioning is ascertained, the controller activates ablation components within the catheter to deliver energy to modify tissue at the target region.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a microfluidic device has a substrate that defines a first inlet for a continuous phase fluid, a second inlet for a dispersed phase fluid, and droplet generators that can produce micro-droplets from the continuous and dispersed phase fluids. The substrate defines (i) a plurality of delivery channels in fluid communication with the first and second inlets, each delivery channel having a first dimension along a first plane that is perpendicular to a transverse direction, and (ii) a plurality of trenches that extend from the delivery channels towards the droplet generators along the transverse direction. Each trench has a second dimension along a plane that is perpendicular to the transverse direction that is smaller than the first dimension. The substrate defines a plurality of vias that extend from the trenches to the droplet generators so as to fluidly connect the delivery channels with the droplet generators.
