Abstract: An under-driven prosthetic hand with a self-adaptive grasping function is provided, which belongs to the field of medical equipment. The prosthetic hand simultaneously controls four fingers to implement bending and stretching movements by a first motor through structural designs of a prosthetic hand body, a finger transmission module, an inter-finger transmission module, and a thumb driving module, and limits the transmission torque between the motor and screws using a damping shaft and in cooperation with the telescopic characteristic of a telescopic component. On the one hand, mechanical damage to the prosthetic hand structure due to excessive torque outputted by the motor can be prevented. On the other hand, the self-adaptive grasping function of the prosthetic hand can be implemented. The disclosure can also effectively solve issues such as excessive volume or mass of the prosthetic hand, complicated control system, and low operation precision.

Abstract: The present invention provides a novel heat exchange medium to replace lead. A carbon-steel wire 1A heated in a heating furnace 11 is passed through a bath 12A filled with a liquid-phase Mg—Al—Ca alloy 20 obtained by melting a Mg—Al—Ca alloy in which the main constituent elements are Mg (magnesium), Al (aluminum) and Ca (calcium). When it passes through the bath 12A, the carbon-steel wire 1A, which has been heated for example to about 950° C. in the heating furnace 11, is cooled to about 550° C. The Mg—Al—Ca alloy is non-toxic and has no environmental impact as well.

Abstract: A method for the delivery of power to subthreshold (sub-Vt) circuits uses unused current during idle-mode operation of super-threshold (super-Vt) circuits is used to supply sub-Vt circuits. Algorithmic and circuit techniques use dynamic management of idle cores when reusing the leakage current of the idle cores. A scheduling algorithm, longest idle time-leakage reuse (LIT-LR) enables energy efficient reuse of leakage current, which generates a supply voltage of 340 mV with less than ±3% variation across the tt, ff, and ss process corners. The LIT-LR algorithm reduces the energy consumption of the switch and the peak power consumption by, respectively, 25% and 7.4% as compared to random assignment of idle cores for leakage reuse. Second, a usage ranking based algorithm, longest idle time-simultaneous leakage reuse and power gating (LIT-LRPG) enables simultaneous implementation of power gating (PG) and leakage reuse in a multiprocessor system-on-chip (MPSoC) platform.
Abstract: The present invention relates to the use of the recombinant antibacterial protein Ablysin for effectively killing multidrug-resistant pathogenic bacteria. The recombinant protein Ablysin of the present invention exhibits apoptosis against antibiotic-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Escherichia coli, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Staphylococcus aureus and Enterococcus faecium to prevent or treat infectious diseases caused by these bacteria and thus it can be widely used in antibiotics, disinfectants, food additives, feed additives, and the like. In particular, the Ablysin uses peptidoglycan, which is a component of the cell wall of bacteria, as a substrate, and exhibits bacterial killing ability due to peptidoglycan degradation.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides a system and method for using widely available ultrasound imaging to overcome the limitations of imaging guidewires and other small objects that may be subwavelength in size relative to an ultrasound wavelength. The system and method can reduce the use of X-rays and exposure to the dangerous effects of radiation and avoids the expense of MRI technology. The subwavelength object, such as a guidewire, can be detected using several methods and associated systems described herein, including the object changing positions at a frequency that creates a brighter ultrasound image of the object as the object progresses across a scanned region of the ultrasound detector. In some embodiments, the movement of the small object causes a different speckle signature than the object itself would otherwise generate. Analysis of changes in speckle patterns due to progressive movement of an object can yield a detectable object.
