    Abstract: A consistometer container for testing rheologically evolutive materials is generally cylindrical or frustoconical in shape, and has a side wall composed of two half-shells 20, 21 which are connected together along two generatrices 40, 41 and which have externally threaded longitudinal end portions 26, 27. Two clamp rings 22, 23, are threaded onto the side wall ends to clamp the half-shells together. Such a construction enables the testing of a progressively hardening material without having to separate the material from the container as soon as the tests are finished.

    Abstract: Devices for effecting a patterned, non-turbulent, non-aspirating flow of air or other gaseous fluid into a room or other confined area or enclosure of finite vertical and horizontal dimensions. These devices have a perforate outlet member and vanes for directing the gas in a controlled manner through the perforations in the outlet member. The vanes, the configuration of the outlet member, and the size and total volume of the perforations are selected to match the pattern in which the gaseous fluid is delivered to the user's requirements. Adjustable vanes may be provided so that the pattern of the air delivered by the device can be changed without altering the size or location of the vanes, the size or configuration of the outlet member, or the size or total volume of the perforations.

The automatic solar collector system of this invention is characterized by its construction including a photo cell-actuated hydraulic cylinder whereby the collector panel may be positioned at an angle to focus the sun's rays onto the fluid conduit disposed within the collector panel. Overall operation of the automatic solar collector system of this invention is regulated by a clock timer, and the entire system is essentially self-contained so that it may easily be moved from one location to another, or put in parts to be attached to a home or a building with the tank and controls below the roof.

    Abstract: A process is described for converting residual oil with fluid catalyst particles which comprises passing an upflowing suspension of fluid catalyst particles at an elevated temperature upwardy through a riser reaction zone/atomizing a residual oil feed to be converted to a particle size commensurate with the particle size of the catalyst particles in the upflowing suspension; discharging the atomized residual oil at a velocity in excess of 300 ft./sec. for contact with said upflowing catalyst particle suspension; maintaining the temperature of contact between said catalyst particles and said atomized residual oil feed suspension sufficiently elevated to obtain up to 50 percent thermal conversion of the atomized oil feed and catalytic conversion thereof by an order of magnitude greater than obtainable with a less atomized oil feed; and separating the suspension vaporous products of the previous step from catalyst particles in a time frame less than two seconds.

    Abstract: A process for the clean-up of particulate containing gases is provided wherein a difference in pressures between the pressure of particulate-containing gases in the inlet to cyclone separation means and the pressure in an underflow exit is maintained and controlled. In a preferred embodiment, the particulate-containing gases comprise flue gas from a catalyst regeneration process comprising two separate regeneration zones comprising a low temperature regeneration zone followed by a higher temperature regeneration zone. A CO rich flue gas is recovered from the low temperature regeneration zone and a CO.sub.2 rich flue gas is recovered from the higher temperature regeneration zone. The high temperature CO.sub.2 rich flue gas is passed through a heat exchanger to produce steam and cool the CO.sub.2 rich flue gas. The cooled CO.sub.2 rich flue gas is passed through cyclone separators to capture catalyst particles.

    Abstract: The bow sight has three slots angled to the vertical. A sight pin is adjustably mounted in each slot by threaded means connected to a guide plate and extending through the slot to receive a lock nut. The threaded means can be a sight pin or a sleeve in which the sight pin is mounted. In the latter case a lock nut is also mounted on the sight pin to fix it against rotation. The guide plate bears on and is guided by an adjacent guide surface parallel to the slot.

    Abstract: The notch in the back of the tree stand fits over a tree trunk and the flexible steel band encircles the trunk and supports the platform. Each side of the platform is provided with a pair of legs each of which is connected to the platform by pivots arranged at 90.degree. to each other to let the legs be raised or lowered and to let the legs move inwardly. Each front leg carries a guide for the flexible steel band and also carries a locking device actuated by a knob. The device has a lock pin engageable with the band in any position of the legs and also has a pin engageable with the rear leg only in the raised (operative) position of the legs. The rear leg includes a flexible steel portion which can twist to accommodate misalignment at the connection between the legs.

When detached the screw can be folded into the leg and moved to a position preventing pivoting the screw relative to the leg. The bracket can now be folded. The screw can also be positioned to extend axially from the leg while unable to pivot with respect to the bracket so the folded bracket serves as a handle for the screw.

    Abstract: A safety switch assembly for use in filling a gasoline products tanker and having a body portion and a gasoline level sensing portion. A channel (part-circular in plan) in the body portion fits over the rim of the filler opening of the tanker to enable the rim to actuate a first electrical switch contained in the body portion. The sensing portion projects into the filler opening and includes a reed relay and a float carrying a magnet to actuate the reed relay. The first electrical switch is a double pole microswitch having one pole normally open and the other pole normally closed. The normally open pole is connected to delivery apparatus to prevent delivery unless the rim actuates the microswitch. The normally closed pole is in parallel with the reed relay which has its contacts closed when the float is unactuated. When the gasoline level nears the top of the container the float rises to de-actuate the reed relay and disable the delivery system to prevent spillage.

    Abstract: A movable console unit for dispensing drugs or other selected articles while retaining other carried articles therein. The device includes downwardly and forwardly directed ramps for loading the articles and delivery of the articles. A number of the ramps are arranged in vertical relation to one another and a selector belt is provided for each of the sets of ramps. The selector belt is selectably movable about the entire ramp structure and is provided with two openings which are maintained in alignment with the rear and forward end of one of the ramps such that articles may be loaded into or delivered from one such ramp in each vertical set. A stop mechanism is provided to extend across the front portions of the ramps and this stop mechanism permits discharge of one article from the ramp with which the opening of the selector belt is aligned.
