Abstract: A suction and irrigation device for medical use comprises a valve body with an irrigation passage and a suction passage. At least one irrigation pipe and at least one suction pipe are connectable to the irrigation passage and the suction passage by connections at a proximal side of the valve body. A suction/irrigation tube is connectable to the irrigation passage and the suction passage at a distal side of the valve body by at least one further connection. A valve assembly is provided within the valve body, which in a first position opens the suction passage and closes the irrigation passage and in a second position closes the suction passage and opens the irrigation passage. The device comprises at least one push element which interacts with at least one movable element of the valve assembly, whereas the movable element is movable by mechanical force acted upon the push element such, that the push element activates the valve assembly from one position to the other position.

Abstract: A hopper having a passage through which a medicine can be passed downward is provided. A part of a lower portion of the hopper is a deformable portion having flexibility, and the deformable portion is deformable so as to open and close the passage. According to this configuration, the deformable portion that is a part of the hopper is deformed to open and close the passage. Thus, there is no portion such as an opening and closing plate on which the medicine remains, thereby preventing a gap in which the medicine remains from being formed in the hopper, and preventing the medicine from easily remaining in the hopper.

Abstract: An imaging method for radiologically guiding an instrument during medical interventions on an object comprising: providing a first image of said object followed by providing updated images on-the-fly during the intervention to an operator by measuring an undersampled set of projections of said object and reconstructing said updated image based on changes between said first image or an update of said first image and said undersampled set of projections. Abstract: The present invention describes a method for building models in layers, wherein a first material and subsequent thereto selectively a second material are applied in layers in a build space, and these two application steps are repeated until a desired model is obtained. Abstract: The present invention relates to shortened peptides comprising a muscle function enhancing amino acid sequence which is derived from the S100 calcium binding protein family. Abstract: A method and a system are for compensating optical aberrations in a telescope. The method is applicable to a telescope wherein the element for receiving a primary beam is an image acquisition device (3), and involves using an algorithm without an image processing sensor for: a) detecting optical aberrations affecting the primary focus, by analyzing the images acquired by the image acquisition device (3), and b) calculating and generating first positional correction values, by processing the detected optical aberration values. The method also includes a step c) consisting in moving, in a controlled manner, the image acquisition device (3), applying suitable control signals generated from the first positional correction values. The system is suitable for implementing the proposed method.
