Abstract: A method for assessing acute kidney injury of inpatient includes the following steps. An electronic medical record data of an inpatient is captured by a processor, and the electronic medical record data includes a baseline basic serum creatinine concentration data. A target serum creatinine concentration data and a minimum post-admission serum creatinine concentration data of the inpatient are captured by the processor. A dynamic-increasing value of serum creatinine concentration is calculated to obtain by the processor based on the target serum creatinine concentration data, the baseline basic serum creatinine concentration data and the minimum post-admission serum creatinine concentration data. The dynamic-increasing value of serum creatinine concentration is analyzed by the processor to assess whether the inpatient is an inpatient suffering the acute kidney injury or not.
Abstract: Methods are disclosed for generating, manipulating, and controlling non-Gaussian quantum states in continuous variable cluster quantum states usable for quantum computing. Some methods can be used to generate, transport, and enlarge Schrödinger-Cat states embedded in the CV cluster quantum state. Some methods can be used to transform Schrödinger-Cat states embedded in the CV quantum cluster state to grid states (such as Gottesman-Kitaev-Preskill states) and enlarge the grid states. In certain embodiments, some of the methods may be used to generate and control non-Gaussian states in macronode cluster quantum states such as cluster states comprising two-mode macronodes.

Abstract: A dual screen technique using DEL and 2DCS screens with libraries of synthesized small molecules and synthesized RNA structures (4,096 targets) delivers bona fide ligand-RNA 3D fold target pairs. One of the newly discovered ligands bound a 5?GAG/3?CCC internal loop that is present in pri-miR-27a, the oncogenic precursor of microRNA-27a. The DEL-derived pri-miR-27a ligand is cell-active, potently and selectively inhibits pri-miR-27a processing to reprogram gene expression and halt an otherwise invasive phenotype in triple-negative breast cancer cells.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method for determining fracture roughness from a core is described. In examples, a drill core is scanned to obtain core images, and natural fractures in the core images are identified using sequential filtering. The identified natural fractures in the core images are digitized and used to obtain a fracture profile comprising a pair of sinusoids corresponding to the top wall and the base wall of the identified natural fractures. A best fitting sinusoid of the fracture profile is determined and used to calculate at least one statistical estimator. The calculated statistical estimator is used to calculate a joint roughness coefficient.
