Abstract: Described are a system, method, and computer program product for detecting neurodegeneration using differential tractography and treating neurological disorders accordingly. The method includes obtaining a first diffusion magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) scan of the brain of the patient and obtaining a plurality of diffusion MRI scans of a group of other brains. The method also includes generating a control diffusion MRI scan based on the plurality of diffusion MRI scans of the group of other brains. The method further includes determining a first anisotropy of first neural tracks of the first diffusion MRI scan and a second anisotropy of second neural tracks of the control diffusion MRI scan. The method further includes determining a differential by comparing the first anisotropy to the second anisotropy and identifying at least one neurological disorder based on the differential and a location of the first neural tracks in the brain of the patient.

Abstract: Waveforms in power grids typically reveal a certain pattern with specific features and peculiarities driven by the system operating conditions, internal and external uncertainties, etc. This prompts an observation of different types of waveforms at the measurement points (substations). An innovative next-generation smart sensor technology includes a measurement unit embedded with sophisticated analytics for power grid online surveillance and situational awareness. The smart sensor brings additional levels of smartness into the existing phasor measurement units (PMUs) and intelligent electronic devices (IEDs). It unlocks the full potential of advanced signal processing and machine learning for online power grid monitoring in a distributed paradigm.

Abstract: A method of measuring a junction temperature of a SiC MOSFET can be provided by applying a gate-source voltage to an external gate loop coupled to a gate of the SiC MOSFET, detecting a first time when the gate-source voltage exceeds a first value configured to disable conduction of a current in a drain of the SiC MOSFET, detecting, after the first time, a second time when a voltage across a common source inductance in a package of the SiC MOSFET indicates that the current in the drain is greater than a reference value, defining a time interval from the first time to the second time as a turn on delay time of the SiC MOSFET and determining the junction temperature for the SiC MOSFET using the turn on delay time.

Kits comprising such compositions and instructions on such methods are also contemplated herein.
Abstract: The present invention includes methods and kits for the diagnosing a neurological disease within primary care settings comprising: obtaining a blood test sample from a subject, measuring IL-7 and TNF? biomarkers in the blood sample, comparing the level of the one or a combination of biomarkers and neurocognitive screening tests with the level of a corresponding one or combination of biomarkers in a normal blood sample and neurocognitive screening tests, and predicting that an increase in the level of the blood test sample in relation to that of the normal blood sample indicates that the subject is likely to have a neurological disease.

Abstract: Cellulose materials and methods of making the cellulose materials are described herein. The method can include contacting a cotton fabric with an oxidizing system to obtain an oxidized cotton material and processing the oxidized cotton material to form the cellulose material. The oxidizing system can include an aqueous mixture of a N-oxyl compound and a hypochlorite compound. During oxidation, the pH of the aqueous mixture can be maintained at from 8.5 to 11. Cellulose products can be formed from the cellulose materials. For example, the cellulose products can be used to form a packaging material, a biomedical device or implant, a drug delivery material, a fiber, a textile material, a template for electronic components, or a separation membrane. Methods of making the cellulose product include dissolving or suspending an active ingredient in a medium comprising the cellulose material.

Abstract: Education curricula materials include encoded indicia such as a QR code that contains information related to identifying requested augmented reality image data from a server over a network. By scanning the QR code, a computer uses its decoding software to create a data set for transmitting to the server. The data set may include an identifier for selected augmented reality image data associated with the user's curriculum, information about the curriculum at issue, the academic level of the user, and any other data necessary to ensure that the most appropriate augmented reality image data is transmitted back to the computer. The server transmits comprehensive augmented reality image data back to the computer for viewing on a computerized display accessible by a student. Part of the content may include an interactive pedagogical agent that helps the student with a part of the instruction related to a portion of the curriculum.
