  • Patent number: 11146334
Abstract: System and method for fiber-optic time frequency and data joint transmission, comprising local end, relay nodes, and remote end. In each local end, relay node, and remote end, multiplexing and demultiplexing of time frequency signals, optical supervisory signals, and optical communication data services are performed by CWDM modules and OSC-band wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexers, and processing (transmitting, relaying, receiving) is performed by corresponding processing modules for joint transmission. A sub-band of standard OSC band is used for transmitting time frequency signal so that transmission of optical supervisory signal is not influenced while no extra band resource is occupied with improved utilization of wavelength resources and reduced costs.

  • Patent number: 11141480
Abstract: Methods are provided herein for determining and administering optimized dosing of therapeutic anti-CD47 agents, in a schedule that provides safe escalation of dose while achieving a therapeutic level in a clinically effective period of time. The methods can comprise the steps of clearance, escalation, and maintenance. In one embodiment the dosing regimen administers an initial (i) sub-therapeutic dose of an anti-CD47 agent or (ii) a cytoreductive therapy to achieve a safe level of circulating tumor cells for subsequent treatment (clearance); escalating the dose of an anti-CD47 agent until a therapeutic dose is reached (escalation); and maintaining the therapeutic dose for a period of time sufficient to reduce tumor cells in the bone marrow of the patient (maintenance). In an alternative dosing regimen, a patient determined to have a safe level of circulating tumor cells at presentation is treated by the steps of escalation and maintenance without initial clearance.

  • Patent number: 11143721
Abstract: A probe beam is passed through a first optically pumped magnetometer vapor cell portion that has a first magnetic bias field orientation relative to a pump beam. The probe beam is also passed through a second optically pumped magnetometer vapor cell portion that has a second magnetic bias field orientation relative to the pump beam with the same properties as in the first portion, where the first magnetic bias field orientation is opposite to that of the second magnetic bias field orientation. This configuration reduces or eliminates linearly polarized magnetic signals (e.g., noise) from the output probe beam and passes circularly polarized magnetic signals. Thus, the intensity of the probe beam after passing through the first and second optically pumped magnetometer vapor cell portions is measured to obtain a noise suppressed signal.

  • Patent number: 11140870
Abstract: Vapor wake detection is a highly advantageous method and system for detecting explosives and other illicit substances. With vapor wake detection, a canine and a handler are used; however, unlike other detection schemes, the canine leads the handler. After the handler positions the canine in a desired location, the canine detects scents in the air that come to the canine. When the canine detects a trained scent, the canine leads the handler to or follows behind the carrier of the item with the scent. Once the carrier is identified by the handler, the proper personnel are contacted. To implement vapor wake detection effectively, specific rigorous training is utilized.
