Abstract: The present invention relates to an electrode structure for a secondary battery comprising a potential sheath capable of suppressing a side reaction between an electrode and an electrolyte through electric potential control, and a method for manufacturing the same. The electrode structure for the secondary battery according to the present invention uses the electric potential control so that an unstable SEI layer, which causes decrease in cycle characteristic and capacity of an anode material, occurs only on the surface of a potential sheath without occurring on the surface of the anode active material, thereby being capable of completely solving the problems of the existing nanostructured electrode.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for producing a manganese-doped nickel molybdate electrode material including mixing a nickel salt solution with a manganese salt solution to form a mixture; adding a molybdate solution into the mixture and being subject to a thermal reaction; and obtaining the manganese-doped nickel molybdate electrode material after washing and drying of the reaction product. The nickel salt includes one or more of nickel nitrate, nickel chloride, and nickel acetate; the manganese salt includes one or more of manganese chloride, manganese nitrate, and manganese sulfate; and the molybdate includes one or more of sodium molybdate or ammonium molybdate. The present method utilizes a single reaction to produce a Mn-doped NiMoO4 electrode material, which does not require using nickel molybdate as an intermediate product. The method simplifies the preparation process and makes it easy to be adjusted, thereby improving the electrochemical properties of the electrode material.

Abstract: A source-network coordination type direct-current (DC) circuit breaker based on pre-charged capacitors for an MMC based DC grid is provided. The MMC based DC grid is provided with four converter stations, each having two converters, which are in loop connection through a double-loop DC overhead line. Two ends of each DC line connecting the converters are separately equipped with DC circuit breakers for isolating a fault of the DC line. An MMC active voltage adjusting control strategy is matched with pre-charged capacitor voltage in the self-adaptive mode to provide a beneficial breaking condition for a quick mechanical switch branch, so that the fault line is effectively cut off.

Abstract: The basic idea of this invention is to send one or more cubesats into orbit, each equipped with a hardware security module. Users would send their transaction to the cubesats which would collect them into blocks, sign them, and send (bounce) them back to earth (and to one another). Bounce Blockchain provides scalability through sharding (transactions will be partitioned over cubesats). Because modern hardware security modules are tamper-resistant (become inoperable if tampered with) or tamper-responsive (erase their keys if tampered with), take their keys from physical processes, and have been validated, socio-technical protocols can ensure that it is infeasible to forge the identity of a hardware security module in a cubesat with another cubesat. If, however, some cubesats are destroyed, the blockchain will continue to execute correctly though some transactions will be lost. New cubesats can be sent up in short order as they are quite cheap to launch.
Abstract: Disclosed herein are antisense oligonucleotides that are capable of inducing expression of ubiquitin-protein ligase E3A (UBE3A) from the paternal allele in animal or human neurons. The oligonucleotides target the suppressor of the UBE3A paternal allele by hybridization to SNHG14 long non-coding RNA at the 5?-end of UBE3A-AS, which is downstream of SNORD115-45 snoRNA. Also disclosed are pharmaceutical compositions and methods for treatment of Angelman syndrome.
