Abstract: New synthetic methods to provide access to previously unexplored functionality at the C8 position of imidazotetrazines. Through synthesis and evaluation of a suite of compounds with a range of aqueous stabilities (from 0.5 to 40 hours), a predictive model for imidazotetrazine hydrolytic stability based on the Hammett constant of the C8 substituent was derived. Promising compounds were identified that possess activity against a panel of GBM cell lines, appropriate hydrolytic and metabolic stability, and brain-to-serum ratios dramatically elevated relative to TMZ, leading to lower hematological toxicity profiles and superior activity to TMZ in a mouse model of GBM.

Abstract: A technology is described for spatially estimating thermal emissivity. A method can include obtaining spectral emissivity data and satellite imaging data for a geographic area. A weighted emissivity model of emissivity values may be generated for surfaces included in the geographic area from the spectral emissivity data and the satellite imaging data, wherein the spectral emissivity data is mapped to the satellite imaging data to generate the weighted emissivity model. Thermal imaging data for the geographic area may be received from an airborne thermal imaging sensor and a thermal emissivity map can be generated for the geographic area using the thermal imaging data and the weighted emissivity model. The emissivity values from the weighted emissivity model can be used to estimate thermal emissivity values.

Abstract: A UAS may use camera-captured ground feature data to iteratively estimate pose change through a Kalman filter. To avoid excessive drift, the UAS may periodically perform a reset by publishing delta pose and covariance as an edge in a global pose graph, by zeroing out the delta pose and covariance. To further improve global pose estimation, two UASs may share range information and associated pose graph information, thereby providing an additional constraint for each UAS to use in its pose graph optimization.

Abstract: A method of controlling a trajectory of a perpendicular magnetization switching of a ferromagnetic layer using spin-orbit torques in the absence of any external magnetic field includes: injecting a charge current Je through a heavy-metal thin film disposed adjacent to a ferromagnetic layer to produce spin torques which drive a magnetization M out of an equilibrium state towards an in-plane of a nanomagnet; turning the charge current Je off after te seconds, where an effective field experienced by the magnetization of the ferromagnetic layer Heff is significantly dominated by and in-plane anisotropy Hkx, and where M passes a hard axis by precessing around the Heff; and passing the hard axis, where Heff is dominated by a perpendicular-to-the-plane anisotropy Hkz, and where M is pulled towards the new equilibrium state by precessing and damping around Heff, completing a magnetization switching.

Abstract: The present invention provides, inter alia, methods for treating, preventing, or ameliorating the effects of a lymphoid malignancy, such as those associated with a mutated phosphatase and tensin homolog (PTEN) gene, or T-cell acute lymphoblastic leukemia (T-ALL). These methods include administering to a subject an effective amount of a phosphoinositide 3-kinase-delta (PI3K?) inhibitor and a phosphoinositide 3-kinase-gamma (PI3K?) inhibitor. The present invention also provides pharmaceutical compositions for treating the effects of a lymphoid malignancy. This invention further provides a method for identifying a subject who may benefit from co-treatment with a PI3K? inhibitor and a PI3K? inhibitor. This method includes determining from a sample of the subject whether the subject has a mutated PTEN gene. Additionally, this invention provides methods for identifying a compound that has both PI3K? and PI3K? inhibitory activity.
