  • Patent number: 10552671
Abstract: Described is a novel method for feature extraction for automatic gait recognition. This method uses Multi-kernel Fuzzy-based Local Gabor Binary Pattern. From a captured gait video sequence, the gait period is determined then a gait energy image is constructed to represent the spatial-temporal variations during one motion cycle of the gait sequence. Then, each gait sequence is represented with a feature vector. The computation of this vector is conducted by first applying the 2D Gabor filter bank then encoding the variations in the Gabor magnitude using a multi-kernel fuzzy local binary pattern operator. Finally, gait classification is performed using a support vector machine.

  • Patent number: 10554122
Abstract: A voltage feedback circuit for a power factor correction circuit couples an output voltage to a voltage feedback input terminal of the power factor correction circuit. The voltage feedback circuit includes a first voltage sensing resistor, a second voltage sensing resistor and a third voltage sensing resistor. A stabilization capacitor is connected across the third voltage sensing resistor. During a normal mode of operation, a feedback voltage has a magnitude determined by the first, second and third voltage sensing resistors. When the output voltage increases rapidly, the stabilization capacitor bypasses the increased voltage around the third voltage sensing resistor to cause the magnitude of the feedback voltage to be determined by only the first and second voltage sensing resistors. The power factor correction circuit detects a transient overvoltage condition at a lower output voltage than if the third voltage sensing resistor were not bypassed.

  • Patent number: 10554416
Abstract: A computer data security system, useful in protecting audit logs, includes symmetric key based techniques, requires only a small-constant number of cryptographic hash operations at the signer side sending a prospective audit log or other computer record data to a primary repository to achieve forward-secure and append-only authentication. The verification is performed by independent parties sharing parts of the symmetric key, wherein the presence of single honest party among all verifier parties ensures a conditional non-repudiation. It also ensures that an active adversary cannot generate authentication tags on behalf of the signer, unless it compromises all verification parties.

  • Patent number: 10549108
Abstract: A method for extinguishing a cardiac arrhythmia utilizes destructive interference of the passing of the reentry wave tip of an anatomical reentry through a depolarized region created by a relatively low voltage electric field in such a way as to effectively unpin the anatomical reentry. Preferably, the relatively low voltage electric field is defined by at least one unpinning shock(s) that are lower than an expected lower limit of vulnerability as established, for example, by a defibrillation threshold test. By understanding the physics of the electric field distribution between cardiac cells, the method permits the delivery of an electric field sufficient to unpin the core of the anatomical reentry, whether the precise or estimated location of the reentry is known or unknown and without the risk of inducting ventricular fibrillation. A number of embodiments for performing the method are disclosed.
