  • Publication number: 20200032767
Abstract: A convective power generation device is described based on thermal convection and thermal input energy. The energy generation device operates by heating wax and oil by heat from a solar concentrator or geothermal energy; as the weight of the wax becomes liquid that is lighter than the oil, the liquid wax moves up through a pathway; when the liquid wax reaches the top of the pathway, the cooler wax falls towards collecting cups mounted to a continuous belt and forces the belt downward to rotate the belt; when a collector cup of wax reaches the bottom of belt rotation, the wax falls to a reservoir; and the rotation of the belt drives a gearbox, which drives a generator to produce electric power. The convective power generation device has been shown to have higher energy conversion efficiency than photovoltaics.

Abstract: The invention relates to a global optimal particle filtering method and a global optimal particle filter. The problem of particle filter processing nonlinear and non-Gaussian signals is effectively solved. The main technical means is to use the Lamarck genetic natural law to construct a global optimal particle filter comprising: generating an initial particle set; using Unscented Kalman Filter to perform importance sampling on the initial particle set to obtain sampled particles; performing floating-point number encoding for each of the sampled particles to obtain an encoded particle set; setting an initial population; using the initial population as an original trial population to sequentially perform a Lamarck overwriting operation, a real number decoding operation, and an elite retention operation; using the real-number optimal candidate particle as a prediction sample for a next moment, and obtaining a state estimation value of a system. The invention is applicable to machine learning.

  • Publication number: 20200032020
Abstract: A heat energy storage system may have a shape-stabilized composite prepared using an easy impregnation method involving a porous Ca2+-doped MgCO3 matrix and PEG as the functional phase. The heat storage capability, microstructures, and interactions with the PEG/CaMgCO3 composite can be characterized by DSC, SEM imaging, FT-IR spectroscopy, and TGA. Likely because of the synergistic phase change effect of CaMgCO3 and PEG, the PEG/CaMgCO3 composites can have high thermal enthalpies, and their enthalpy efficiencies are substantially higher than those of traditional shape stabilized PCMs. The functional material PEG can permeate porous CaMgCO3 matrices under capillary action. Liquid PEG can be stabilized within the porous matrix, and/or the CaMgCO3 matrix can improve the thermal stability of the PEG. The high heat energy storage properties and good thermal stability of such organic-inorganic composites offers utility in a range of applications, including thermal energy storage.
