Abstract: A method for designing an off-axis three-mirror imaging system with freeform surfaces is provided. A primary mirror initial structure, a secondary mirror initial structure, and a tertiary mirror initial structure are established. A number of first feature rays are selected, while the primary mirror initial structure and the secondary mirror initial structure unchanged. The first feature rays are forward ray tracked from an object space to an image detector. A number of first feature data points are calculated to obtain a tertiary mirror. A number of fields and a number of second feature rays are selected, while the secondary mirror initial structure and the tertiary mirror unchanged. The second feature rays are reverse ray tracked from the image detector to the object space. A number of second feature data points are calculated to obtain the primary mirror.

Abstract: A composite material comprising a polymer and a carbonized hemp filler, wherein the carbonized hemp filler is produced by carbonizing hemp at a temperature of at least 1100 C to produce a char; and milling the char to produce a particle size, wherein the filler comprises 95% of particles of less than 10 microns in size; and wherein the hemp filler comprises between 1 and 50% of the total mass of the composite.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to a method for performing phosphorous-31 spectroscopic magnetic resonance fingerprinting (MRF). The method comprises performing a pulse sequence using a series of varied sequence blocks to a volume in a subject where the volume contains phosphate metabolites. A series of signal evolutions are acquired from the volume in the subject to form MRF data. The MRF data is then compared to simulated MRF signal to determine parameters associated with phosphate metabolites and the chemical exchange rates between these metabolites. These parameters and exchange rates can be used in diagnosing a metabolic disorder in a subject.

Abstract: An object has a durable superhydrophic, self-cleaning, and icephobic coating includes a substrate and a layer disposed on the substrate, the layer resulting from coating with a formulation having an effective amount of hierarchical structuring micro/nanoparticles, liquid silane having one or more groups configured to graft to a hierarchical structuring micro/nanoparticle and at least another group that results in hydrophobicity. The hierarchical structuring micro/nanoparticles are dispersed in the liquid silane. Another effective amount of synthetic adhesive, selected from thermosetting binders, moisture curing adhesives or polymers that form a strong interaction with a surface, is in solution with a solvent. Upon curing, the layer has a contact angle greater than 90° and a sliding angle of less than 10° and, less than 5% of an area of the layer is removed in a Tape test.
