Abstract: The present invention relates to methods and materials for more effectively treating patients with interferon. It is based on the discovery that clinical response to interferon (IFN) therapy is mediated in part by inhibition of activation of MDSC and such inhibition can be observed after a test dose of interferon; a significant decrease of reactive oxygen species (ROS) production by MDSC (as a measure of their activation) after IFN therapy is predictive of overall response to immunotherapy in cancer patients.

Abstract: Disclosure is a method of dispatching semiconductor batch production, including: measuring an actual line width to calculate an estimated value of line width bias reference level, an estimated value of product bias, an estimated value of chamber bias and a standard error of chamber bias, and storing in a historical data module; inputting a product category, a line width measurement before manufacturing and a target line width after manufacturing in a batch production module; calculating a similarity index of each chambers by a computing engine of a matching module according to the data stored in the historical data module; transforming the similarity index into a priority of machine allocation by a dispatching module and dispatching a production machine; updating the historical data module by measuring a line width after manufacturing. The line width bias generated by various variations will be eliminated during the manufacturing process.
Abstract: A three-dimensional Gate-Wrap-Around Field-Effect Transistor (GWAFET). The GWAFET includes a substrate of III-V semiconductor material. The GWAFET further includes one or more channel layers with a gate wrapped around these one or more channel layers. Additionally, the GWAFET includes a barrier layer residing on the top channel layer with a layer of doped III-V semiconductor material residing on each end of the barrier layer. A source and drain contact are connected to the layer of doped III-V semiconductor material as well as to the multiple channels in the embodiment with the GWAFET including multiple channel layers. By having such a structure, integration density is improved. Furthermore, electrostatic control is improved due to gate coupling, which helps reduce standby power consumption. Furthermore, by using III-V semiconductor material as opposed to silicon, the current drive capacity is improved.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method for processing a shared file and a cloud storage server. The method comprises: receiving, by a cloud storage server, an update request message from a second client; determining that a first file is located within a storage region of a first client according to an identifier of the first file and acquiring current version information of the first file from the storage region of the first client; and if it is determined that the version of the first file on the second client is older than the version of the first file within the storage region of the first client, generating a first download address and transmitting the first download address to the second client, so that the second client downloads the first file in the current version. According to an embodiment of the present invention, it is able to synchronously update the shared file.

Abstract: An apparatus for passive sorting of microdroplets including a main flow channel, a flow stream of microdroplets in the main flow channel wherein the microdroplets have substantially the same diameter and wherein the flow stream of microdroplets includes first microdroplets having a first degree of stiffness and second microdroplets having a second degree of stiffness wherein the second degree of stiffness is different than the first degree of stiffness. A second flow channel is connected to the main flow channel for the second microdroplets having a second degree of stiffness. A separator separates the second microdroplets having a second degree of stiffness from the first microdroplets and directs the second microdroplets having a second degree of stiffness into the second flow channel.

Abstract: A computer system may elicit from a human observer ground truth data useful in automatically detecting one or more features in images. The elicitation may include presenting an image to a human observer that has a visual indicator in an image, the visual indicator indicating having a location and orientation with respect to the image; asking the human observer to judge whether a particular image feature is present in the image at the location and orientation indicated by the visual indicator; receiving input from the human observer indicative of whether the particular image feature is present at the location and orientation indicated by the visual indicator; storing the input received from the human observer as part of the human-labeled ground truth data; and repeating the process described above one or more times in connection with a visual indicator that has a different location or orientation with respect to the image or that uses a different image.

Abstract: Embodiments of this invention provide methods, systems, and apparatus for determining whether a fetal chromosomal aneuploidy exists from a biological sample obtained from a pregnant female. Nucleic acid molecules of the biological sample are sequenced, such that a fraction of the genome is sequenced. Respective amounts of a clinically-relevant chromosome and of background chromosomes are determined from results of the sequencing. A parameter derived from these amounts (e.g. a ratio) is compared to one or more cutoff values, thereby determining a classification of whether a fetal chromosomal aneuploidy exists.
Abstract: An arithmetic module is provided, including a first adder, a first shifter coupled to the first adder, a multiplier coupled to the first shifter for receiving an external coefficient signal, a digit alignment unit coupled to the multiplier, a second adder coupled to the digit alignment unit, and a second shifter coupled to the second adder. The arithmetic module reduces the overall computation time effectively, as compared with a scalar processor, by employing a serial data connection design, and also significantly reduces power consumption of the digital signal processor by requiring fewer input and output ends than those of a multi-issue processor.
