  • Patent number: 8192273
Abstract: A plurality of game machines installed in a single hall are collectively controlled. Based on information of coin or credit consumption in a certain game machine on which a player is performing a game, this player's cumulative consumption of coin or credit is judged. As the result of this judgment, when this cumulative consumption reaches a predetermined upper limit, a return based on a predetermined return rate is executed without fail to the certain game machine on which this player is performing the game. That is, a predetermined return is guaranteed to a player who has consumed a predetermined amount, so that the player continues the game in expectation of the return. It is therefore avoidable that a player waiting for a prize for a long time keeps away from the hall.

  • Patent number: 8195734
Abstract: Combining multiple clusterings arises in various important data mining scenarios. However, finding a consensus clustering from multiple clusterings is a challenging task because there is no explicit correspondence between the classes from different clusterings. Provided is a framework based on soft correspondence to directly address the correspondence problem in combining multiple clusterings. Under this framework, an algorithm iteratively computes the consensus clustering and correspondence matrices using multiplicative updating rules. This algorithm provides a final consensus clustering as well as correspondence matrices that gives intuitive interpretation of the relations between the consensus clustering and each clustering from clustering ensembles. Extensive experimental evaluations demonstrate the effectiveness and potential of this framework as well as the algorithm for discovering a consensus clustering from multiple clusterings.

  • Patent number: 8192590
Abstract: Efficient method for preparing sulfonium photoacid generators (PAGs) by microwave-assisted reaction of diarylsufides in the presence of alkylaryliodonium salts. Microwave-assisted synthesis of the PAGs is significantly faster, reducing reaction time with less energy consumption. Reaction times using the microwave-assisted synthesis are in a range of from 90 to 420 faster than conventional thermal conditions. The photoacid quantum yields of several salts prepared by the microwave reaction were measured; the photoacid quantum yields of new sulfonium PAGs were in a range from 0.01 to 0.4 times greater than yields from conventional synthesis. Incorporating a nitro group in the structures of the sulfonium salts increased photoacid quantum yield, induced intersystem crossing and increased the efficiency of photoacid generation compounds.
