Abstract: A system configured to cause a vehicle to autonomously maneuver to a safe haven during a triggering event includes a communication component configured to receive parameters corresponding with conditions of the triggering event and, based on the parameters and on characteristics of the safe haven, instruct the vehicle to maneuver to the safe haven.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to preventing laser access to microphones of smart devices. In one embodiment, a microphone of the smart device may be covered with an opaque material such as a cloth cover. The opaque material may serve as a barrier that is impenetrable to light, thereby preventing laser light to reach the microphone. In a further embodiment, a smart device may prevent the one or more microphones of the smart device from receiving an audio command embedded in a light signal by disrupting the light signal, ignoring the audio command, or both. In another embodiment, the smart device may block the audio command from being received at a microphone of a smart device by determining a frequency of the light signal, instructing a laser jammer to transmit a counter light with the frequency to interfere with the light signal.

Abstract: Implementations selectively message member account data to client applications to reduce server load. When a monitored load on cloud servers meets a criteria, a hold status may be triggered. During the hold status, member accounts may be monitored and client applications may be transmitted push messages, for example when a change is detected in a member's monitored account. The push messages can contain the detected changes, such as a posted transaction that triggered the message. Implementations of the client application can be configured to display local data (stored from the push messages) during the hold status in response to a member's request to access/view their account. Because server to client communication is limited to messages that contain member account changes, an overall server load can be reduced.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to system that includes a database including data associated with one or more building features of a building. The system includes a processor of a computing device. The processor is configured to determine an absolute position of the computing device within the building. The processor is configured to identify at least one of the building features located within a threshold distance of the absolute position of the computing device based on a query of the database. Additionally, the processor is configured to generate an alert configured to cause the computing device to display information associated with the at least one of the building features or output an audible signal associated with the at least one of the building features.

Abstract: Methods and systems for facilitating loss reporting and resolution are described. In some embodiments, a method includes identifying a bounded geographical area affected by a weather event potentially causing property losses to customers of an insurer. The weather event may have an intensity profile in the bounded geographical area. The method further includes generating a customer density profile in the bounded geographical area and predicting resource utilization based on the customer density profile and the weather event intensity profile in the bounded geographical area.

Abstract: Embodiments disclosed herein describe systems and methods to generate statuses of higher level integrated logical clusters from one or more output files generated by the clusterwares of a plurality of lower level physical clusters. The systems and methods provide an interactive dashboard graphical user interface (GUI) rendering the statuses of the higher level logical clusters. In response to a drill down selection by the system administrator, the systems and methods may render resource level statuses of the plurality of resources forming the higher level logical cluster. Therefore, by using a single dashboard, a system administrator can seamlessly transition between statuses at different level of abstractions for multiple resources distributed across multiple geographically diverse datacenters. Furthermore, the dashboard allows the system administrator to perform failover operations.

Abstract: A system and method for assisting with interactions between agents and customers using an artificially intelligent assistant is disclosed. The artificially intelligent assistant monitors interactions between agents and customers and identifies assistive actions to be taken that increase efficiency of the interaction as well as customer satisfaction. The artificially intelligent agent can also identify new communication modes appropriate for assistive actions, allowing agents to seamlessly communicate with customers over a wide range of different communication modes, such as phone calls, texts, emails and other messaging applications.

Abstract: A method and system protect personally identifiable information stored in an onboard computing system of a vehicle to improve data security of drivers. The method and system are each configured to automatically trigger a deletion or encryption of personal data stored in the motor vehicle in response to an event or other information indicating that the vehicle is outside of the custody of the owner or some other loss of control event.

Abstract: A user may access an institution system via more than one communications channel, either by the same device (e.g., a mobile device accessing the institution system via a voice channel and a data channel) or by different devices (e.g., a personal computer via a web channel and a phone via a voice channel). If a user is not currently authenticated to a communications channel and attempts to access the institution system via a communications channel, the user may be authenticated using strong authentication. If the user is currently authenticated to the institution system via a communications channel and would like to engage a second communications channel to access the institution system, the user may authenticate to the second communications channel using both communications channels and weak authentication, such as single factor authentication or a challenge question.

Abstract: Predictive mapping technology is used to route a telephone call from a user to a customer service representative. The disclosed technology can use any one or more of the following factors to map a telephone call from a user to a customer service representative: (1) a sentiment score based on a topic of conversation; (2) an experience score of the customer service representative with a topic of conversation; and (3) a performance score of the customer service representative in managing a topic of conversation.

Abstract: A method for routing customer service requests to call centers includes collecting data associated with customer service experience between a customer and a call center regarding a completed customer call. The collected data is analyzed to determine a quality of customer service for one or more completed calls between the customer and the call center. A nature of an incoming customer call is determined. The incoming customer call is routed to a call center based upon making reference to the analyzed collected data such that the nature of the customer call matches with corresponding one or more favorable attributes of the call center.

Abstract: A method for managing data in view of data controls includes determining that a jurisdictional restriction associated with a jurisdiction applies to utilization of a portion of data, determining that a compliant service to utilize the portion of data is unavailable, deploying an instance of the compliant service, and utilizing the portion of data using the instance of the compliant service.

Abstract: A digital image of a check may be divided into segments. The segments may be processed to determine the edges between the background data and the check data in the segments of the digital image. A histogram of each segment may be determined and used to determine the edges of the check image portions in the segments and thus the edges of the check. The data outside the edges of the check image portions in the segments may be considered to be background data and may be identified and/or removed. The segments, with the background data removed, may be recombined into an image of the check and provided into a digital image file that may be transmitted to an institution system for deposit of the check in an account.

Abstract: Authentication method and systems using RFID-enabled payment cards are disclosed herein where a server receives a request corresponding to authorization of a payment associated with a payment card from an electronic terminal. The server identifies an electronic device of a user associated with the payment card. The server then transmits an instruction to the electronic device to cause an RFID reader of the electronic device to determine whether an RFID tag corresponding to the payment card is located within a predetermined proximity to the electronic device. When the payment card is located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a first authentication protocol. Moreover, when the payment card is not located within the predetermined proximity, the server executes a second authentication protocol, wherein the second authentication protocol is more restrictive than the first authentication protocol.

Abstract: A system and method for operating fewer servers near maximum capacity as opposed to operating more servers at low capacity is disclosed. Computational tasks are made as small as possible to be completed within the available capacity of the servers. Computational tasks that are similar may be distributed to the same computing node (including a processor) to improve RAM utilization. Additionally, workloads may be scheduled onto multicore processors to maximize the average number of processing cores utilized per clock cycle.

Abstract: Data processing techniques are described to obtain user data previously collected when a user is requested to complete application forms associated with multiple servers. The application forms may include some fields that may be in common and that may request the same user data. For each application form requested by the user, the data processing techniques can identify and obtain the relevant previously collected data about the user for the application form. The application form for a product can have certain fields that may be pre-filled based on the relevant and/or non-confidential previously collected user data. The data processing techniques can also provide an estimate of the time that may be needed by the user to complete at least one application form so that the user can obtain a requested product.

Abstract: In one embodiment, one or more non-transitory, computer-readable mediums store computer instructions that, when executed by a processor, cause the processor to receive a selection of at least one spend category out of a number of spend categories to track and a target spend amount for a timeframe, track one or more transactions associated with the selected at least one spend category by filtering the one or more transactions into respective bins based on merchant category codes assigned to the one or more transactions during the timeframe, and perform one or more actions based on an actual amount spent relative to the target spend amount for the timeframe.

Abstract: Embodiments described herein disclose methods and systems for authorizing transactions received from client applications. The transaction request can include a first access token. After validating the first access token, the system can determine whether additional authentication is needed to authorize the transaction. If additional authentication is needed, the system can determine the authentication requirements. Once the additional authentication is received and verified, the system can generate a second access token and authorize the transaction by releasing the first access token.
