  • Patent number: 10298622
Abstract: Methods and systems for obtaining reconstructing activities of target users in social networks, such as for decoding and displaying social network sessions held by a target user, or identifying other users who are associated with the target user. This analysis is typically carried out based on passive monitoring of network traffic. A social network decoding system constructs and maintains a replica database, which mimics a portion of the user profile database maintained by the social network servers. The social network decoding system monitors network traffic between users and social network servers. Based on the monitored traffic, the system gradually constructs a replica database that attempts to replicate a portion of the social network user profile database, relating to one or more predefined target users. Using the replica database, the system is able to correlate loosely-coupled information objects, events and interactions between the target users and social network pages.

Abstract: A subject can be tracking using a plurality of physical video monitoring or image acquisition devices deployed in a delimited area. A map represents the delimited area. Icons representing the physical monitoring devices can be placed and configured on the map representing the delimited area. Some or all of the placed and configured video monitoring devices can be logically linked together to form scenes. The video feed from the physical video monitoring devices may be recorded in stable storage. A layout for display of the video feeds may be selected. Upon playing the video feed, whether live or recorded, a subject can be tracked through the delimited area by selecting one of the video monitoring devices in one of the available scenes.

  • Patent number: 10271169
Abstract: A method includes moving an interrogation device through multiple geographical positions. At each geographical position of the interrogation device, a wireless communication terminal is solicited to establish temporary communication with the interrogation device, and a value indicative of a distance between the wireless communication terminal and the interrogation device is estimated using the temporary communication. A geographical location of the wireless communication terminal is calculated based on multiple estimated values corresponding to the respective multiple geographical positions of the interrogation device.

  • Patent number: 10255346
Abstract: Systems, methods, and media for developing ontologies and analyzing communication data are provided herein. In an example implementation, the method includes: identifying terms in in a set of communication data; identifying a list of possible relations of the identified terms; scoring the possible relations according to a set of predefined merits; ranking the possible relations into a list of possible relations in descending order according to their score; and tagging relations in the set of communication data. The relations may be tagged by identifying the possible relations in the communication data in order corresponding with the list of possible relations. The possible relations that have lower rankings that conflict with higher ranking relations are not tagged. The conflicts may be determined by a predefined set of conflict criteria.

  • Patent number: 10198427
Abstract: Methods and systems for keyword spotting, i.e., for identifying textual phrases of interest in input data. In the embodiments described herein, the input data comprises communication packets exchanged in a communication network. The disclosed keyword spotting techniques can be used, for example, in applications such as Data Leakage Prevention (DLP), Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) or Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS), and spam e-mail detection. A keyword spotting system holds a dictionary of textual phrases for searching input data. In a communication analytics system, for example, the dictionary defines textual phrases to be located in communication packets—such as e-mail addresses or Uniform Resource Locators (URLs).

  • Patent number: 10191978
Abstract: By formulizing a specific company's internal knowledge and terminology, the ontology programming accounts for linguistic meaning to surface relevant and important content for analysis. The ontology is built on the premise that meaningful terms are detected in the corpus and then classified according to specific semantic concepts, or entities. Once the main terms are defined, direct relations or linkages can be formed between these terms and their associated entities. Then, the relations are grouped into themes, which are groups or abstracts that contain synonymous relations. The disclosed ontology programming adapts to the language used in a specific domain, including linguistic patterns and properties, such as word order, relationships between terms, and syntactical variations. The ontology programming automatically trains itself to understand the domain or environment of the communication data by processing and analyzing a defined corpus of communication data.

  • Patent number: 10178502
Abstract: A location-tracking system that includes multiple detector units that are deployed in a region of interest. The detector units receive uplink signals from wireless terminals that are active in the region, and measure the strengths of the received uplink signals. The system computes the locations of the terminals based on the measured signal strengths and the known locations of the detector units. The location-tracking system receives and analyzes downlink signals from one or more of the base stations of the wireless network. The detector unit uses the downlink signal to recover and synchronize to the timing of the wireless network's air-interface. Based on the extracted uplink allocations, and having synchronized with the air-interface, the system is able to distinguish between the uplink signal components originating from each terminal, and thus compute the location of each terminal.

  • Patent number: 10176684
Abstract: A system and method to determine a flow direction automatically so that counter-flow motion may be detected without user calibration is disclosed. The system and method utilize information available from existing video compression algorithms to sense motion and determine a flow direction. Once a flow direction for an area is determined, the system and method can detect counter-flow motion using compressed video without any decompression, thereby improving the speed of detection and simplifying the computational complexity. These improvements facilitate counter-flow alarms and expand the information available to a user monitoring the video.

  • Patent number: 10146794
Abstract: Methods and systems for clustering objects using Geohash grids. The clusters are typically displayed on an interactive map. A clustering module receives multiple objects having respective geo-information and derives clusters for the objects in respective grid cells of a given resolution level. The clustering is based on the geo-information of the objects at one or more resolution levels that are finer than the given resolution level. Clustering based on finer-resolution levels provides spatial information at a granularity that is unavailable at the given resolution level and therefore achieves clustering with improved accuracy. The geo-information may comprise a Geohash spatial index that specifies the geographic location in accordance with the Geohash system.

  • Patent number: 10142426
Abstract: A monitoring system monitors traffic flows that are exchanged over a communication network. The system characterizes the flows in terms of their temporal traffic features, and uses this characterization to identify communication devices that participate in the same communication session. By identifying the communication devices that serve as endpoints in the same session, the system establishes correlations between the users of these communication devices. The monitoring system characterizes the flows using traffic features such as flow start time, flow end time, inter-burst time and burst size, and/or statistical properties of such features. The system typically generates compressed-form representations (“signatures”) for the traffic flows based on the temporal traffic features, and finds matching flows by finding similarities between signatures.
