  • Patent number: 10814611
Abstract: A dampening fluid deposition system includes a vapor generator adjacent an air supply channel and in fluid communication with a dampening fluid supply to produce dampening fluid vapor. The vapor generator includes a vapor channel having an interior in communication with air confined within the air supply channel. The vapor generator may include a liquid reservoir receiving dampening fluid from the dampening fluid supply and a heater that heats the received dampening fluid into dampening fluid vapor. The liquid reservoir may include a wick that stores dampening fluid and releases dampening fluid vapor into the vapor channel and a heat conductive tub that holds the wick and dampening fluid. • Patent number: 10817756
Abstract: An information processing apparatus includes a determination, first, second and third receiving, and first and second checking units, and a controller. When a determination result matches a first determination result, the first checking unit outputs a matching determination result as the final output. The second checking unit checks the first determination result against a second. The first and second determination results are respectively received by the first and second receiving units. When the first determination result matches the second, the second checking unit outputs the matching determination result as the final output. When the input information is received, the controller operates the determination, first receiving, and first checking units. When it is determined that the determination result does not match the first determination result, the controller operates selectively one of a unit set and the third receiving unit. The unit set is constituted by the second receiving and checking units.

  • Patent number: 10814653
Abstract: A roller for a transport belt of a vacuum transport assembly includes an elongate cylindrical body adapted for a rotatably fixed connection to a vacuum transport assembly. An outer surface of the roller defines a hollow inner channel, which extends along an axial region of the body. The outer surface is a running surface for a transport belt. An inlet at one end of the hollow inner channel receives air from an air source. Perforations are formed in the outer surface for allowing air pressure to be discharged from the hollow inner channel toward the transport belt. The air diffuses through the transport belt to detack a sheet from the transport belt.

  • Patent number: 10814620
Abstract: A printer includes a plurality of printheads, a plurality of printhead drivers, and an optical sensor configured to generate image data of a substrate after the substrate has been printed by the plurality of printheads. A controller operates the printheads using the printhead drivers to print a pattern of ink drops on the substrate, determine from image data of the ink drop pattern received from the optical sensor whether a density response for the pattern of ink drops for each printhead is within a predetermined range about a reference density response for the pattern of ink drops, identify a peak voltage for each printhead determined to have the density response outside the predetermined range, and store the identified peak voltage in the printhead driver for the printhead. The printhead driver uses the identified peak voltage to generate firing signals for the printhead operatively connected to the printhead driver.

  • Patent number: 10814634
Abstract: A capping station is configured for storing a printhead during printer inactivity to preserve the operational status of the nozzles in the printhead. Each capping station has a housing having at least one wall and a floor configured to enclose a volume partially, and a plate having a textured surface that is positioned at a predetermined distance from a top surface of the at least one wall of the housing. The textured surface is made of a resilient material that has cells that contain flushing fluid. A printhead is pushed within the volume of the housing to engage the textured surface of the plate to press the flushing fluid into the faceplate of the printhead.
