Abstract: The present invention provides a fixing member having a heat resistant resin layer, a metal layer having two or more layers, and a releasing layer, in this order from the inner peripheral side, wherein a specific resistance of the metal layer disposed at the outer peripheral side is larger than a specific resistance of the metal layer disposed at the inner peripheral side in the at least two metal layers, and a modulus of an internal stress of the metal layer disposed at the outer peripheral side is 5 kg/mm2 or less. Further, a fixing device includes the fixing member, an electromagnetic induction heating device in which an electric field is applied to the fixing member, and a press member which press-contact the surface of a releasing layer of the fixing member. Furthermore, an image forming device having this fixing device is provided.
Abstract: A image forming apparatus for providing an enlarged user work space. The image forming apparatus includes a printing module with a housing, a scanning module positioned above the printing module, a modular work surface positioned above the printing module, and a document handler positioned above the modular work surface. The modular work surface includes at least a unitary central work surface. The central work surface includes a top surface having a width dimension extending in a horizontal sheet feed direction, the width dimension of the top surface of the central work surface being larder than a width dimension of the housing of the printing module.

Abstract: The invention provides a photopolymerizable composition comprising: flame-retardant particles which contains a hydrated metal and have an average diameter of about 1 to 500 nm; and a photopolymerization reactive material. The hydrated metal preferably includes at least one selected from the group consisting of a hydrated magnesium, hydrated calcium, hydrated aluminum, hydrated zinc, hydrated barium, hydrated copper and hydrated nickel. A cover layer which comprises an organic compound or a polysilicone is preferably formed on surfaces of the flame-retardant particles. The invention provides a flame-retardant resin-formed article which is formed of the photopolymerized photopolymerizable composition. A flame retardancy of the article measured in accordance with the UL-94 test preferably scores HB or higher.

Abstract: A metnod and apparatus adjusting the lateral position of an LED bar may minimize image banding in image-on-image systems having multiple LED bar imagers. A photoreceptor may be transported past a plurality of marking stations. At each marking station an LED bar imager extends in a direction perpendicular to the direction of transport of the medium. A mark may be sensed at each station and the lateral position of the LED bar, perpendicular to the direction of transport of the medium, may be adjusted according to the deviation of the position of the mark from a desired position.
