  • Patent number: 9825753
Abstract: Disclosed herein are systems, methods, and computer-readable storage media for enabling improved cancellation of self-interference in full-duplex communications, or the transmitting and receiving of communications in a single frequency band without requiring time, frequency, or code divisions. The system estimates the signal strength and phase of a self-interference signal, generates a cancellation signal based on this estimate, then uses the cancellation signal to suppress the self-interference before sampling received analog signal. After applying the cancellation signal, the system samples and digitizes the remaining analog signal. The digitized signal is then subjected to additional digital cancellation, allowing for extraction of the desired signal.

  • Patent number: 9824320
Abstract: Methods, non-transitory computer-readable media and apparatuses for modifying a task flow are disclosed. For example, a method receives a request to modify the task flow template which is associated with a plurality of task flow modification rules. The method determines whether the request violates a modification rule of the plurality of task flow modification rules. A first rule specifies that no automated tasks in the task flow template can be deleted and a second rule specifies that no automated task in the task flow template can be moved to precede another automated task on which it depends. The method rejects the request when the request is determined to violate one of the first rule and the second rule of the plurality of task flow modification rules. Otherwise, the method modifies the task flow template in accordance with the request to produce a modified task flow template.

  • Patent number: 9826503
Abstract: A multimedia communications system for broadcast distribution of multimedia content to mobile terminals over a cellular network is disclosed. The disclosed system accesses content providers, receives corresponding content information associated with provider content, and broadcasts content information to user terminals. The user terminals include software and/or hardware for receiving the content information and enabling a user to subscribe to one or more content items. Once a subscription is in place for one or more content items, corresponding content IDs are sent to and stored at the terminal. The system facilitates broadcast of the content. Content IDs stored in the terminal and broadcasted content IDs are compared. Only the content associated with the matching content IDs is then downloaded to the user terminal for storage and/or presentation. Content associated with unmatched content IDs is prevented from being received.

  • Patent number: 9826081
Abstract: Devices, systems, and methods are disclosed for automated multi-device, multi-persona, and wireless SIM management. A virtual SIM database associated with a user is maintained on the mobile service provider's network. Such a virtual SIM database contains multiple personas for that user. The user is furnished with one “stub” SIM to be installed on the user device for each of the user devices the user wishes to use on the mobile service network. One of the personas maintained by the virtual SIM database may be loaded onto the “stub” SIM. In particular, upon occurrence of an event, a selected user device downloads a selected persona from the network and loads it onto its “stub” SIM, so that the selected user device is now registered on the network with that persona.

The wireless local area network access point provides access to the wireless local area network to the separate dual mode device in response to receiving the instructions.

  • Patent number: 9819592
Abstract: A system for automatic reconciliation of data throughput is disclosed. In particular, the system may include automatically and repetitively measuring the available upload and download throughput that a user of an internet service provider statistically receives through the course of a selected period of time. The system jointly monitors the user's data usage volume over time and automatically determines if the user is subscribing for throughput that the user is not receiving at the times that the user is using his or her subscribed service. If the system determines that the user is subscribing for throughput that the user is not receiving, the system may perform a variety of corrective actions. Such corrective actions may include reducing the subscribed for throughput, transmitting a notification to the user to modify the subscribed service, or increasing the subscribed for throughput to improve the user's experience with the internet service provider.

Abstract: A system, method, and computer-readable storage media for reducing monopolization of a frequency channel during full-duplex communications. The MAC layer of governing communications can be modified to reduce likelihood of monopolization by (1) in networks which are exclusively filled with full-duplex devices, configuring non-communicating devices to ignore data collisions of communicating devices, requiring the communicating devices to wait for an standard backoff time after the data transmission is complete; and/or (2) in mixed half-duplex/full-duplex networks, requiring a half-duplex nodes and/or a full-duplex node to wait an extended duration after the data transmission is complete, while the non-communicating devices do not wait an extended duration.

Abstract: A method enables a portable communication device to redirect a call initiated from the portable communication device and to execute a visual interactive voice response application for interfacing with a user. The method includes screening calls initiated from the portable communication device by a communication application resident on the portable communication device, and redirecting a call initiated from the portable communication device when the screening determines that the call matches predetermined criteria. The method also includes authenticating an account corresponding to the portable communication device that initiated the call by communicating with a service provider communication network, and executing a visual interactive voice response application that visually interacts with the user of the portable communication device upon authentication of the account by the service provider communication network.

Abstract: Speaker content generated in an audio conference is selectively and visually represented. A profile for each audience member who participates in the audio conference is obtained. Speaker content spoken during the audio conference is monitored. Different weights are applied to words included in the speaker content according to a parameter of the profile for each of the audience members. A relation between the speaker content to the profile for each of the audience members is determined. Visual representations of the speaker content are presented to selective members among the audience members based on the determined relation.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and products authenticate a user to a device. A user selects or submits a media file for authentication. Features in the media file are compared to a set of criteria for authentication. The number of matching criteria, that is within a range of values for each criterion in the set of criteria, is determined. The number of matching criteria is compared to a threshold value. When the number of matching criteria equals or exceeds the threshold value, then the user that selected or submitted the media file is authenticated.

Abstract: Concepts and technologies are disclosed herein for spoofing bone conduction signals. According to one aspect, a device can compare a first unique body signature associated with a first user to a second unique body signature associated with a second user to determine a first unique effect of a first body of the first user on a signal and a second unique effect of a second body of the second user on the signal. The device can generate an authentication signal based upon the first unique effect and the second unique effect to include signal characteristics that, after propagating through the first body of the first user, are representative of the second unique body signature. The device can transmit the authentication signal through the first body of the first user to an authentication device that authenticates the first user on behalf of the second user.

  • Patent number: 9813774
Abstract: A mobile broadcast service center and a mobile wireless network to deliver broadcast video to mobile wireless devices is described. When the mobile broadcast service center receives a request to deliver a broadcast video channel to a target mobile wireless device, it designates as target an intermediate node in the network that serves the target mobile wireless device. The mobile broadcast service center first determines if an existing channel bundle is routed to the target intermediate node. If this first determination is negative, the mobile broadcast service center routes a new channel bundle to the target intermediate node, including the requested broadcast video channel. If the first determination is positive, the mobile broadcast service center then determines if the requested broadcast video channel is in the existing channel bundle. If this second determination is negative, then it adds the requested broadcast video channel to the existing channel bundle.

  • Patent number: 9810765
Abstract: A femtocell calibration solution is provided that uses the known location of the femtocell to calibrate timing based locating systems. The calculated time differences of different signals sent between macrocells and a mobile device can be used to solve for a reference time difference that accounts for the timing differences of the unsynchronized macrocells. The reference time difference can then be used to solve for the location of another mobile device if the calculated time differences between that mobile device and the macrocells are known. The solution can include taking many measurements of the calculated time difference at the first mobile device in order to average them to get a more accurate reference time difference. The solution can further include ceasing measurements at the first mobile device when the mobile device is no longer within range of the femtocell.
