  • Patent number: 9049200
Abstract: A method in an example embodiment includes creating a first search key from variable data of a message received in a network environment, creating a second search key from constant data of the message, identifying a first database entry in a first database based on the first search key, and identifying a second database entry in a second database based on the second search key. The method can also include performing an action associated with the first database entry when a correlation is identified between the first and second database entries. In specific embodiments, the variable data are modified and the constant data are not modified. The first search key can be created prior or subsequent to forwarding the message. In further embodiments, the correlation is identified when an offset of the first database entry is the same as an offset of the second database entry.

  • Patent number: 9049153
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method of processing a packet through a logical switching element implemented by several managed switching elements. The method receives a packet for processing through a processing pipeline of the logical switching element. The method processes the packet through the processing pipeline. The method stores state information in the packet for indicating that the packet has been processed through the processing pipeline in order to prevent other managed switching elements from processing the packet through the processing pipeline. The method forwards the processed packet to a managed switching element of the several managed switching elements.

  • Patent number: 9019849
Abstract: A system and method to perform Full Duplex (FD) Space Division Duplex (SDD) communication using a Self-Interference Cancelling (SIC) precoder that applies different antenna phase shifts and amplitude scales to the transmitted signals to force them to be in the null space of the selected receive antennas. Thus, a wireless communication unit can place nulls at each of its receive antennas digitally at baseband for one or more frequency bands. The SIC precoder may be computed based on the self-interference channel from the transmit chain(s) to the receive chain(s). Different SIC precoders may be adaptively selected and stored digitally for different frequency bands. Subsequent single or multi-user precoder can be applied in concatenation with the SIC precoder to transmit signals to one or more users while receiving signals from one or more users simultaneously over the same frequency band.

  • Patent number: 9019881
Abstract: A method for waking up a Node B (NB) cell is provided. When a User Equipment (UE) in an idle state arrives in an area of a Home NB cell in which the UE ever resided, but does not search out signals of the Home cell, the UE reports Proximity Indication (PI) information to a network side through a specific Tracking Area Update (TAU) process; when determining that there is need to wake up the NB cell according to footprint information which is reported by the UE and obtained in the specific TAU process, the network side wakes up the NB cell. The method ensures that the UE in an idle state wakes up the sleeping Home NB cell (or macro cell) in time and gets service from the Home NB cell (or macro cell), thus a network coverage problem caused by cell sleeping for saving energy is avoided.

  • Patent number: 9007888
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses are provided for uplink MIMO transmissions in a wireless communication system. In some particular aspects, scheduling of the uplink MIMO transmissions may make a determination between single stream, rank=1 transmissions and dual stream, rank=2 transmissions based on various factors. Further, when switching between single and dual stream transmissions in the presence of HARQ retransmissions of failed packets, the scheduling function may determine to transmit the HARQ retransmissions on a single stream transmission or to transmit the HARQ retransmissions on one stream while transmitting new packets on the other stream.

  • Patent number: 9008087
Abstract: A control system that includes several controllers for managing several switching elements. A first controller receives a request to modify a data tuple stored in a network information base (NIB) storage of the first controller that stores data for managing a set of switching elements. The first controller determines whether the received request to modify should be processed by the first controller. When the received request should be modified by the first controller, the first controller modifies the set of data in the NIB storage. The first controller updates a request list that is propagated between the controllers to disseminate requests to modify different data tuples that are stored in the NIB storages of the different controllers.
