Abstract: Systems and methods for providing video conference content requests to non-participants. An example method may include receiving, from a first participant of a video conference, via a first communication channel that is associated with the video conference, a content request directed to a non-participant, wherein the non-participant is not connected to the video conference; transmitting, via a second communication channel that is not associated with the video conference, the content request to the non-participant; receiving, from the non-participant, a response to the content request; and transmitting, via the first communication channel, to at least one of the first participant or a second participant of the video conference, a message reflecting the response.

Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for automatically joining a user in a conference meeting via alternative communication devices when the user is detected to be unavailable at a particular client communication device. The client communication device of the user determines that the presence of the user is set to away, indicating that the user is unavailable at the client communication device. When the client communication device determines that a conference meeting including the user as an active participant is about to begin, the client communication device determines an alternative number, and different communication device, at which to reach the user. Using the alternative number, the client communication device calls the user at the different communication device and, when answered, automatically joins the user into the conference meeting through a communication channel provided by the client communication device.

Abstract: There is provided a space information sharing apparatus, a space information sharing method, and a program adapted to let users feel as if their spaces are interconnected in a multidirectional communication system while saving bandwidth. A control section is provided to control communication of space information indicative of appearances of a space of a first user to an apparatus of a second user on the basis of first sensing information representative of the state of the first user and second sensing information representative of the state of the second user. This technology is applied advantageously to multidirectional communication systems.

Abstract: Systems and methods for making a multitrack recording of a telephony communication, such as a conference call, record the contributions of each participant its own respective, separate recording track. In some instances, the contribution(s) of one or more participants is recorded in separate recording tracks, and the contributions of multiple other participants is mixed and recorded in a single recording track. An organizer or administrator of a telephony communication, such as a conference call, can instruct a multitrack recording system as to how to format a multitrack recording of the telephony communication via commands submitted through an application programming interface (API).

The terminal may include an input and output interface configured to receive a first video capturing a first user, a communication interface configured to transmit the first video or a first sound of the first user to a terminal of a counterpart and receive a second video or second sound, which is obtained by the terminal of the counterpart, through a video call session, a display configured to display the first video and the second video, and a processor configured to detect a specific event during the video call session, determine whether an inappropriate element is included in the first video or the first sound when the specific event is detected, and stop transmitting the first video or the first sound according to a result of the determination.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide systems and methods for perspective shifting in a video conferencing session. In one exemplary method, a video stream may be generated. A foreground element may be identified in a frame of the video stream and distinguished from a background element of the frame. Data may be received representing a viewing condition at a terminal that will display the generated video stream. The frame of the video stream may be modified based on the received data to shift of the foreground element relative to the background element. The modified video stream may be displayed at the displaying terminal.

Abstract: A system and method for providing a call session in a communication environment between a caller communication device associated with a caller user and a recipient communication device associated with a recipient user are described. The system includes an automated call controller adapted for being coupled to the caller and recipient communication devices. In operation, a caller user utters a call initiation phrase in a natural language into his communication device. The system analyses the call initiation phrase, finds the recipient device in the communication environment, transmits and plays back the call initiation phrase on the recipient communication device. The system receives and analyzes a recipient reaction to recognize the recipient user intention either to accept or reject the call session, and establishes the call session between the communicating caller and recipient users.

Abstract: This disclosure describes a video room system that can generate a video room utilizing a cross-application technique by accessing functions of one application based on user interaction within a separate application. In particular, the disclosed systems can generate a video room that remains open for access by a creator device and invitee devices in a casual come-and-go fashion. The disclosed systems can further generate a video room link that is distributable intelligently to grant access to the video room to invitee devices. The disclosed systems can also automatically surface a video room link to an invitee device based on determining a digital connection between the invitee device and the creator device.

In an embodiment, a method is provided for relocating a conference participant during a network conference. The method includes receiving a first video stream having a first background, transmitting a second video stream, and receiving a request to remove a background from the second video stream. The method also includes removing the background from the second video stream to generate a modified video stream and transmitting the modified video stream. The method also includes receiving an instruction for relocating the modified video stream within the first background and relocating the modified video stream within the first background based on the instruction.

Abstract: A processing system having at least one processor may establish a communication session between a first communication system of a first user and a second communication system of a second user, the communication session including first visual content, the first visual content including a first visual representation of the first user, and detecting a first action of the first visual representation in the first visual content in accordance with a first action detection model. The processing system may modify, in response to the detecting the first action, the first visual content in accordance with a first configuration setting of the first user for the communication session, which may include modifying the first action of the first visual representation of the first user in the first visual content. In addition, the processing system may transmit the first visual content that is modified to the second communication system of the second user.

Abstract: A method for edge network authentication and access, implemented by an edge server, including receiving user equipment (UE) information from an application client executed on a UE to establish a connection between the edge server and the UE, verifying whether the UE has authorization to the local access point name (APN) based on the UE information, generating a session key when the UE has authorization to the local APN, sending the session key to the UE, receiving a request to access content of an application on a content server from the UE, decrypting the information to obtain a key, comparing the key with the application key to validate the UE, verifying identifiers of the UE when the UE is valid, identifying the application on the content server to obtain the content based on the request, encrypting and sending a session identifier to the UE based on a new application key.

Abstract: One example system for providing notifications to videoconferencing sub-meetings includes a processor and at least one memory device. The processor establishes a videoconferencing session associated with a host. The videoconferencing session can include a main meeting, a sub-meeting, and a waiting queue. The processor can move the host from the main meeting to the sub-meeting, and subsequently move a new participant into the waiting queue. The processor can generate a notification that the participant has entered the waiting queue and determine that the host has moved to the sub-meeting. The processor can route, to the host in the sub-meeting using a stored connection of the host to the main meeting, a notification of the participant entering the waiting queue, and subsequently allow the host to admit the new participant.

Abstract: A method, computer system, and computer program product are provided for virtual background replacement during a video communication session. A frame comprising a user image and a captured background is obtained from a video capture device as part of a video stream. The frame is processed to replace the captured background with a virtual background. A change to an exposure characteristic of the video capture device is determined. In response to determining the change to the exposure characteristic, the virtual background is modified to match a virtual background brightness with a user image brightness to produce a modified virtual background. The frame is modified by combining the user image with the modified virtual background.

The Landline Texting Engine intercepts a forwarded incoming call. The Landline Texting Engine detects incoming voice data in the forwarded incoming call. In response to detecting the incoming voice data, the Landline Texting Engine sends text data on behalf of the select landline telephone number from the proxy telephone number, the text data identified as being sent from the select landline telephone number.
