  • Patent number: 11484664
Abstract: Disclosed is a Huber needle assembly that may include an upper body connected to a lower body, the assembly being structured to retain a needle for insertion/extraction of the needle into/from an insertion site. The upper body can statically retain the needle while the lower body may slidably receive the needle. The lower body can further include a catch that engages a tip of the needle and/or misaligns the tip of the needle with a needle aperture of the lower body to place the assembly in a safety-lock position, preventing rebound, needle-stick injury, and/or any type of exposure of the needle tip to an environment outside of the lower body. The assembly can further bias the needle in a direction so as to prevent re-emergence of the needle tip after being withdrawn into the lower body.

  • Patent number: 11484642
Abstract: An ambulatory infusion pump can include a maximum bolus override procedure. When a bolus amount greater than a maximum bolus amount is requested, the pump can provide an alert indicating that the amount requested exceeds the maximum bolus amount. If the user confirms the request in response to the alert, the bolus amount can be delivered to the user. The amount delivered in response to the confirmation can be a first portion of the bolus amount. A reminder can then be provided that a second portion of the bolus amount that is a remaining portion of the requested bolus amount was also requested. If a second confirmation is received in response to the alert, the second portion of the bolus amount can also delivered to the user.

  • Patent number: 11426519
Abstract: An autoinjector includes: an insertion spring between a housing and plunger assembly; a syringe driver; a second release mechanism releasing the plunger assembly from the housing, causing the insertion spring to move the plunger assembly through the housing with a syringe driver; a stop limiting movement of the syringe driver in the housing; and a third release mechanism releasing the plunger assembly from the syringe driver upon engagement with the stop, allowing the plunger assembly to continue through the housing. The first release mechanism releases the plunger from the delivery spring housing upon contact between the plunger assembly and a bung, causing the delivery spring to separate the delivery spring housing and the plunger, applying a delivery force to a bung. A latch mechanism latches the delivery spring housing at a forward position, preventing rearward movement of the delivery spring housing following release of the plunger.
