Abstract: Provided are a method, system, and program for rendering a display of at least one data set name, wherein each data set is associated with one or more file components. A selection of one displayed data set name is received and names of the file components associated with the selected data set are displayed. Selection is received of at least one of the displayed file component names and the selected data set name and selected at least one selected file component name are rendered in a history panel, wherein the selected data set name and selected at least one file component are displayed in a hierarchical tree arrangement.

Abstract: A system that incorporates teachings of the present disclosure may include, for example, a communication device having a controller adapted to present a task toolbar by way of a display of the communication device, create an entry in the task toolbar, identify a party responsible for one or more tasks associated with the entry, associate the party with the entry and update the task toolbar to show by way of the display the association of the party to the entry, create one or more tasks, associate the one or more tasks with the entry of the party in the task toolbar, and synchronize one or more communication resources of the party according to the entry associated with the party and the associated one or more tasks. The customer can take an avatar and proceed to collect a token number and wait for chat session service in a virtual lounge to partake in various interactive options. The number of the current serving number is displayed so that the customer knows the position in the queue. The waiting lounge can include a virtual kiosk to provide the customer with self service while waiting.

Abstract: A video curation platform displays curated video channels in the form of markup language pages. A page delivered to client machine includes thumbnails of video content that an end user may select and view. The markup language page includes a first container for supporting a first media player, and a second container for supporting a third party media player that is embedded from a content source. The containers are aligned, one in front of the other. The markup language page also includes control logic adapted to be executed in hardware at a client machine when an end user selects video content to be viewed (i) to render first content in the first media player, (ii) upon completing the first content, to automatically hide the first media player and reveal the third party media player; and (iii) to render the video content in the third party media player.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method to facilitate the display and management of service candidates in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a user request for an inventory of service candidates in a SOA service model, and providing a user interface displaying the service candidate inventory. The method further includes allowing user access to individual service candidates in the service candidate inventory via the user interface.

Abstract: A method and system for providing menu tools directly from an operating system includes a computer system having a user interface including a display, a cursor, and a cursor control device, and an operating system. Menu tools are provided to one or more application windows. A menu item associated with a menu tool represents an available operating system function and an interactive icon associated with the menu item may be placed in a toolbar region in one of the application windows for access to the function. A special operating mode is activated for selecting menu items for use in the toolbar and making the function associated with the menu item available to the application by moving the menu item to the toolbar region. The menu item is represented as an interactive icon once the special operating mode is activated. The operating system function associated with the menu item is made available to the application window directly from the operating system by interaction with the icon.

The system for handling pop-up messages includes an identification module to identify an active pop-message activated by an application of one or more applications. The system for handling pop-up messages also includes a recording control module to record a movement path associated with the input device. Abstract: Exemplary methods and media relate to controlled movement of a viewing window across a graphical user-interface using an orientation-tracked display-device. The viewing window in an exemplary method may move in accordance with detected change in the physical orientation of the display-device. When the physical orientation of the display-device is sufficiently motionless, the position of the viewing window may be held fixed with respect to the graphical user-interface and a stability region may be established in the viewing window. The viewing window may continue to remain still as long as the physical orientation of the display-device remains within a range of orientations represented by the stability region. Then, the viewing window may begin moving again with respect to the graphical user-interface when the orientation moves outside of the range defined by the stability region.

Abstract: A user interface includes a tactile interface on a client device that allows users to interact with social networking system content in a manner that is optimized for touch screens and mobile devices. The tactile interface allows users to efficiently navigate the social networking system data as well as to capture new content for upload to the social networking system. New content may be captured in a way that allows the user to preview the content in-context.

Abstract: A method and system for receiving audio data, converting the audio data into discretely sampled data, such as digital audio, and transforming the digital samples into a user-controllable visual representation for computer-based data interpretation and editing. A plurality of synchronized streams of sampled data recordings are digitally sampled, segmented, and rendered into a plurality of arc segments. A value of one or more audio data parameters are determined for each arc segment. A visual indication of the parameter value, such as a color, hue, or shade, is determined for each arc segment. The plurality of arc segments are arranged into a plurality of arcs, and the plurality of arcs are arranged as a smooth, continuous radial spiral, or arcs, using graduated grays or colors to denote waveform characteristics to form a realistic visual depiction of a mechanical recording emulating a conventional “vinyl” record.

The pattern can be an alphanumeric character or a finger gesture. A user can accept or reject the recognized pattern via touchless finger control.

Abstract: A system for presenting and controlling content on a display device includes a network, a server system coupled to the network and comprising one or more servers, a display device coupled to the network and having a display, and a personal computing device operable to transmit a first message according to a specified format over the network to the server system. The server system stores an association between the personal computing device and the display device. The first message identifies user-selected content and a media player to play the content. The server system is operable, in response to receiving the first message from the personal computing device, to provide to the display device a second message identifying the user-selected content and the media player to play the content. In response to receiving the second message, the display device is operable to obtain a first media player needed to play the content, to load the media player and to present the content on the display.

Abstract: A clip book system communicates with an operating system which controls temporal buffering of each clip item in a buffer. It requests the operating system to notify when a clip item of data is placed into the buffer and receives notifications from the operating system. When a notification is received, a data entry controller copies each clip item of data from the buffer into a selected section of a local memory. An information adder adds item information to the copied clip item of data.

Abstract: Displaying physical signal routing of a system. A diagram of the system may be displayed. The system may include physical components connected via physical connections and logical components implemented on various ones of the physical components. The diagram may include a plurality of icons connected by wires. At least a first subset of the icons may represent logical elements of the system and wires between the first subset of icons may represent logical connections between corresponding logical elements. User input requesting signal routing information of the system may be received. In response, a signal route corresponding to a first logical connection between a first logical element and a second logical element may be visually indicated.

Abstract: An apparatus, system, and method to facilitate the display and management of composition candidates in a service-oriented architecture (SOA). In one embodiment, the method includes receiving a user request to view one or more composition candidates from a composition candidate inventory in a SOA service model, and displaying the composition candidate inventory to the user in a user interface.

Abstract: Emotions can be expressed in the user interface for an instant messaging system based on the content of a received text message. The received text message is analyzed using a text-to-speech engine to generate phoneme data and wave data based on the text content. Emotion tags embedded in the message by the sender are also detected. Each emotion tag indicates the sender's intent to change the emotion being conveyed in the message. A mapping table is used to map phoneme data to viseme data. The number of face/lip frames required to represent viseme data is determined based on at least the length of the associated wave data. The required number of face/lip frames is retrieved from a stored set of such frames and used in generating an animation. The retrieved face/lip frames and associated wave data are presented in the user interface as synchronized audio/video data.

Abstract: A system and method for accessing content provided by a presenter during a presentation is described. The system and method includes a presentation module used by a presenter to display presentation materials to audience members during a presentation. Also included is a selection module that allows a display of a representation of the presentation materials that have been displayed. When activated, the selection module enables an audience member to select for redisplay by the presentation module a particular one of the presentation materials.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods for geographic mapping and review. One or more embodiments include a project template provided within a geographic information system (GIS) application, the project template associated with an actuarial review process and including: a number of selectable workspace pages configured to display a map content associated with a particular geographic region based on activation of one or more selectable map attributes associated with each of the number of selectable workspace pages; and a number of selectable layout pages configured to display the map content of a particular one of the number of selectable workspace pages along with other map information in a particular arrangement upon selection. One or more embodiments can include opening a project within the GIS application using the project template and preparing the project for actuarial review.
