  • Patent number: 8907127
Abstract: The present invention relates to a preparation method of 4-aminomethylbenzoic acid comprising the following steps: preparing 4-carboxylbenzaldehyde or an alkyl ester thereof (methyl 4-formyl benzoate); reacting the 4-carboxylbenzaldehyde or an alkyl ester thereof (methyl 4-formyl benzoate) with hydroxyamine to oximate the same; and contact reducing 4-carboxylbenzaldehyde oxime or an alkyl ester oxime thereof obtained by the oximation, through hydrogen in a sodium hydroxide aqueous solution. Since methyl 4-hydroxyiminomethylbenzoate is reacted as a raw material in the presence of an alkali, hydrogen of a relatively low pressure can be used and a purification process is also simple, thereby enabling preparation of 4-aminomethylbenzoic acid with a low cost and high yield.

  • Patent number: 8906867
Abstract: The production method prepares a solid preparation by dissolving water-insoluble and/or water indissolvable alkaline active pharmaceutical ingredient in an acidifier-containing acid solution to obtain medicated acid liquid; homogeneously mixing alkalizer, adjuvants and the medicated acid liquid, and carrying out wet granulation. The alkalizer is a reagent to reduce the acidity of the mixture of the alkalizer and the medicated acid liquid relative to the acidity of the medicated acid liquid. The preparation method avoids the problems in mechanical pulverization, such as environmental pollution, great loss and serious security risks. This method is simply operated, has high safety coefficient and is convenient for industrialized production. Also disclosed is the solid preparation produced by the method. The solid preparation produced by the method has better dissolution performance than that produced by prior art, and has better or at least equivalent stability and content uniformity with prior art.

  • Patent number: 8889938
Abstract: The present disclosure provides methods to produce para-xylene, toluene, and other compounds from renewable sources (e.g., cellulose, hemicellulose, starch, sugar) and ethylene in the presence of a catalyst. For example, cellulose and/or hemicellulose may be converted into 2,5-dimethylfuran (DMF), which may be converted into para-xylene by cycloaddition of ethylene to DMF. Para-xylene can then be oxidized to form terephthalic acid.

  • Patent number: 8889653
Abstract: A method of grafting galactomannan-type polysaccharide polymers, preferably guar, to a functional group by irradiation with high energy electron beams in the presence of an unsaturated monomer-compressing the described functional group. The method may include the depolymerization of the grafted polymer to a pre-selected low molecular weight. The preferred galactomannans for treatment according to this method are guar gum, guar splits and hydroxypropyl guar. In a preferred embodiment the guar gum is also depolymerized, preferably to a molecular weight of below about 700,000 Daltons, and most preferably to a molecular weight of between about 100,000 Daltons to about 250,000 Daltons. The depolymerized guar most preferably has a polydispersity of less than about 3.0 and is useful in oil well fracturing to enhance oil production.

  • Patent number: 8884002
Abstract: Pectinases, such as Pectinex™ Ultra SP-L (composed of the enzyme Polygatacturonase, a type of pectinase which is derived from Aspergillus aculeatus) or pectinmethylesterases were used to decrease or increase, respectively, the viscosity of fiber solutions, especially solutions with highly refined cellulosic thickeners, and particularly those made of highly refined cellulosic parenchyma cell wall fiber solutions. The enzyme can reduce the viscosity up to 95% or increase the viscosity 100 fold. At lower concentrations the enzyme requires up to a few days of reacting to reach the full reduction in viscosity. Pectinex™ Ultra SP-L has an optimum pH of 4.5-5 and a temperature optimum of 40° C. By controlling the viscosity available from the dried, treated highly refined cellulosic fiber compositions, tailored powder compositions can be provided that will provide precise viscosities when rehydrated in solutions at a constant concentration.
