Abstract: Bags or carriers are provided that can be transformed into protective vests and used as body armor and ballistic shields. The carriers can be assembled in a first arrangement that enables individuals to store and transport items. The carriers can quickly and easily be converted to or deployed in a second arrangement which enables the individuals to wear the carriers as protective vests. One or more shoulder straps can be detached from the carriers for use as tourniquets, doorway securing structures, and tools for dragging injured victims.

Abstract: In order to create a movable roof rack for motor vehicles, wherein the roof rack has a support device for receiving a load, in particular for receiving a roof box, and wherein the support device is movable between a travel position and a loading position, at least one profiled support section (115, 116, 215, 216) is provided in order to move the support device between the travel position and the loading position, and the at least one profiled support section (115, 116, 215, 216) is arranged on a vehicle pillar (101, 102, 201, 202) of a motor vehicle and is designed to support the support device.

Abstract: A slideout truck bed cover and shelving assembly for storing and easily accessing items kept in a truck bed. The slideout truck bed cover and shelving assembly includes a cover assembly including a cover member adapted to slide upon and extend from a truck bed; a shelving assembly depending from the cover member; and a storage assembly adapted to be disposed in the truck bed for holding and storing items with the cover member removably disposed over the storage assembly.

Abstract: An attachment for mounting onto a hitch receiver on a vehicle. The attachment is used for transporting a snow blower. The snow blower has wheels, an engine, a front housing and a pair of arms. The attachment comprises a drawbar. A base is supported by the drawbar. An elongate member is supported by the drawbar and has a support surface disposed above and in spaced apart relation to the base. The base is configured and arranged to support the front housing of the snow blower. The base also is configured and arranged to establish a fulcrum as the arms of the snow blower are rotated forward until the snow blower makes contact with the support surface.

Abstract: A kayak that collapses to form a backpack structure. The kayak includes a plurality of removably connectable hull members. The hull members include at least a middle section, a front section, and a rear section. The middle section comprises a tapered complex body having a cavity. The tapered complex body has a width larger than width of the front section and rear section such that the tapered complex body can receive the front section and the rear section in the cavity of the middle section. A plurality of bolts are configured to removably connect the hull members. The bolts provide pressure to a rubber gasket for connecting the front section and the rear section to the middle section. A cockpit is formed by removably connecting the front section and rear section to the middle section via the bolts. A seat member is removably attached to the cockpit.

Abstract: A truck bed storage system is disclosed which may be readily assembled and unassembled in a bed of a truck. An example of the truck bed storage system includes a frame having an opening formed therethrough. At least one lock mechanism connects the frame to a sidewall of a truck bed. A bedrail stop connected to the frame is configured to fit over a front portion of the truck bed and stop the frame from sliding away from the front portion of the truck bed. A first panel hinged to the frame forms a lid of a storage area formed in the truck bed. A second panel hinged to the frame forms a back side of the storage area formed in the truck bed.

Abstract: A method of fabricating a bonded cascade assembly of a thrust reverser for an aircraft nacelle. The method may include inserting individual turning vanes between spaced apart elongated stiffeners at an aft end thereof and sliding the turning vanes toward a front frame piece attached to or integrally formed with forward ends of the elongated stiffeners. The elongated stiffeners may have inner and outer flanges for trapping and limiting radial movement of the turning vanes. The method may further include bonding the turning vanes to the structural frame with a structural adhesive and attaching a closeout cap to the aft ends of each of the elongated stiffeners.

Abstract: An expandable carry pouch defining an interior compartment sized and dimensioned to carry tactical gear, the interior compartment defined by a front wall with forward and bottom panel segments, a back wall opposed to the front wall with forward and bottom panel segments, and bottom panel. The front and back walls have a plurality of vertical and horizontal channels such that a binding device is woven through the vertical and horizontal channels to compress the front and back wall towards one another.

Abstract: A holding clip apparatus is provided for attaching a mobile electronic device to a tray table of a commercial vehicle, such as a train or airliner. A tray table attachment section of the holding clip apparatus includes an upper support member and a lower support member each extending outwardly in a horizontal direction from a rear support wall. A mobile device holding section of the holding clip apparatus includes a front support wall and a rear support wall extending upwardly from a base portion having a bottom surface. Attachment portions may be provided connecting the tray table attachment section and the mobile device holding section. A mobile device angle adjustment section may be provided that allows the mobile device holding section to rotate to adjust the viewing angle of a mobile device held thereto.

Abstract: A baby carrier includes chest straps, a waist belt, and a carrier bag mounted to the chest straps and the waist belt. The carrier bag has a front piece, with a lower portion of the front piece being connected to the waist belt. A connection between the chest straps is adapted to be achieved by an element, and a second part of the respective chest strap is connected to a middle portion of the front piece so as to permit the baby carrier to be rotated around an upper part of the body of a wearer. During one step of the rotation of the baby carrier, the element extends over one shoulder of the wearer and carries the weight which in the normal case is carried by the chest straps.

Abstract: A cover for forming a watertight enclosure enclosing an electronic device having a display includes: (a) a first member comprising: (i) a protective membrane operable to transmit touchscreen-type user input to the display; and (ii) a sealing mount attached to the protective member, the sealing mount defining a registration profile extending along the entire perimeter of the protective membrane, the sealing mount defining a stanchion projecting parallel and spaced-apart from the registration profile; and (b) a second member comprising: (iii) a rigid plastic frame; and (iv) a shell over-molded to the frame, the shell being made of a soft and elastomeric material and defining a compression profile extending along the entire perimeter of the shell, the shell at its compression profile being dimensioned for interlocking with the sealing mount at its registration profile so as to removably form a watertight seal between the first and second members.

Abstract: A mounting device is provided including a bracket to be attached to the vehicle, and a locking pin for locking the high lift jack to the bracket. The bracket includes a front body portion formed, and from which the pin protrudes frontward. The bracket further includes a rear attachment body portion for securing the bracket to the vehicle. The bracket can include at least two nut and bolt sets for securing the high lift jack to the bracket. An upper nut and bolt set including a nut and a bolt can pass through an upper bolt hole of the front body portion, and a lower nut and bolt set including a nut and a bolt can pass through a lower bolt hole of the front body portion. The locking pin can pass through the high lift jack and allow a lock to be coupled to a lock hole in the locking pin that protrudes frontward from the high lift jack.

Abstract: An upper body garment for supporting an infant adjacent the chest and upper belly of a wearer that includes a tubular garment body made from a stretchable fabric and comprising a front panel and a back panel, one or more breast panels extending from a top portion of the back panel and over the shoulders of the wearer; and a pouch panel extending from a lower portion of the breast panels. The pouch panel is secured along a U-shaped seam to an inside surface of the front panel to form a pouch with a top opening proximate the lower portion of the breast panels. The stretchable fabric is a two-way stretchable fabric with an increased capability for elastic expansion within a substantially horizontal plane when the wearer is in an upright position.

Abstract: Disclosed is a backpack having a plurality of stabilizing handles. The handles are of fixed dimension and are distributed around the outside of a main compartment of the backpack to provide a number of places for a caregiver to grip when assisting a wearer of the backpack walk. A rear side of the main compartment may have a four handles, a front side of the backpack may have 6 handles, and side panels of the backpack may have 4 handles. A lead may optionally be attached to the D-ring on the rear side of the backpack. Providing numerous grip handles around the backpack enhances the ability of the caregiver to provide spotting support, without stigmatizing the user from the use of a harness or other such assistive device.

Abstract: A belt mounting system includes a main body, a device coupled to the main body, a belt mount configured to be coupled to a belt, and a locking element, wherein the locking element is reusable so that the locking element is removable to selectively decouple the main body from the belt mount and insertable to fix the main body to the belt mount through the interconnection of the main body, the belt mount, and the locking element.

Abstract: A vehicle sun visor includes: a visor main body; and a slide component slidably mounted on the visor main body and including a slide main body, card holding parts provided so as to have clearances from the slide main body in a thickness direction, a stopper that restricts an amount of movement of a card inserted through the clearances into a gap between the slide main body and the card holding parts, the card moving along a surface of the slide main body, and a grip that protrudes from the slide main body, is gripped to slide the slide component relative to the visor main body, and serves as a part of the stopper.

Abstract: An electronic device holder for uses such as within a motor vehicle. The holder preferably works with gravity and angular forces using the weight of the electronic device, which can be a smart phone or tablet. Top and bottom contact pads can be provided secure and prevent movement of an inserted electronic device. The twisting action of the electronic device to insert the phone into the holder exerts pressure on the lower part of the holder portion, with enough pressure to stabilize and prevent movement or any significant movement of the electronic device with respect to the holder.

Abstract: An armband that holds an electronic device is presented. The armband includes a pouch which includes a window and an opening configured to allow an electronic device to be inserted into the pouch. The armband also includes an arm strap wherein the proximate end of the arm strap is coupled to the pouch, and wherein the arm strap includes: holes arranged in a specified pattern; loop cells at specified locations along the length of the arm strap; and a hook cell located at a distal end of the arm strap. The armband further includes a ring coupled to the pouch configured to allow the distal end of the arm strap to be passed through the ring and pulled toward the proximate end of the arm strap so that the hook cell can be coupled to one or more loop cells.

Abstract: A combination beach mat and carrying bag comprising a cylindrical pocket member having a cylindrical cavity and closed and open ends and adapted to receive an exercise mat in a rolled configuration, the open end having a movable closure panel to enclose the cavity and a releasable fastener to enable the opening and closing of the closure member, an elongate fabric member having a first end connected to the pocket member along a longitudinal edge, wherein the fabric member may be rolled around the pocket member to provide a cylindrical compact configuration, a fastening means situated at the second end of the fabric member and on a corresponding portion of the bottom surface when in the compact configuration to releasably secure the second end to the bottom surface for maintaining the carrying bag in the compact configuration, and a carrying strap affixed to each end of the pocket member.
