Abstract: The invention provides as a coupling component for an oxidation hair dye composition a meta-diaminoalkylbenzene or a salt thereof, the alkyl substituent being n-propyl, iso-propyl or n-butyl.
Abstract: A pharmaceutically acceptable emulsifier for preparing fat emulsions for intravenous injection comprising purified phospholipid of vegetable origin, containing less than 5% of glycolipid, and having a degree of hydrogenation of 30-50 as defined by the iodine number is prepared from vegetable phospholipid by a three-step procedure comprising (in any order) (1) isolation of a fraction containing phosphatidylcholine, (2) partial hydrogenation to produce the desired iodine value, and (3) removal of glycolipid.
Abstract: Derivatives of pyrazole represented by the general formula: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1 represents an alkyl group of 7 to 11 carbon atoms and R.sup.2 represents a hydrogen atom or a lower alkyl group, have therapeutic activity with a very low mammalian toxicity, and in particular can be used in the treatment of hyperlipemia.
Abstract: This invention relates to an adjuvant effective for stimulating the production of lymphocytes in the circulating blood of a mammal, which adjuvant is an extract from Atractylis lyrata s. et z.
Abstract: There are disclosed solid formulations having, as an active substance, a sex pheromone, more particularly a sex pheromone of insect, supported by an inert carrier coated with a film-generating resin, and as components: a wetting agent, a dispersant, a sticker, an ultraviolet stabilizer and an antioxidant. Said formulations are used to control insects by hindering mating of the insects (mating disruption).

Abstract: Permanent-wave solution comprising an aqueous alkaline solution of cysteine and an organic acid anhydride as added thereto in a molar ratio of 0.1 to 0.5 per each mole of cysteine is disclosed. The solution is stable upon exposure to air while retaining a sufficient curling effect on the hair.
Abstract: This invention is directed to compositions of the developer-coupler type for the dyeing of hair, consisting essentially of substituted benzotriazoles as coupling components and, as developer components, the conventional components used in oxidation dyes.
Abstract: Disclosed herein is a non-toxic composition for mechanically killing insects and the like wherein an attractant for insects is provided and within the attractant there are a plurality of needled particles mixed therewithin so that when the insect encounters the composition the needled particles lacerate the insect.
Abstract: A medicament for treatment of the symptoms of arthritis, rheumatism, and like conditions is provided by subjecting the sap-containing portion of the root of Southern Wax Myrtle (Myrica Cerifera) to extraction with water at elevated temperature. Internal administration of such preparations has proven effective in alleviating the pain, swelling and suffering caused by arthritis. No adverse side effects have been noted in the test work performed to date.
Abstract: A process for preparing a composition, a composition and a process for oxidative dyeing of hair are disclosed. The composition comprises at least one n,5-dihydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-naphthalene having the general formula ##STR1## wherein n represents a number from 1,2,3, or 4, and which n,5-dihydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydronaphthalene can be present as such or as a salt of an organic or inorganic base and which n,5-dihydroxy-1,2,3,4-tetrahydro-naphthalene serves as a coupling compound; and at least one developer employed in hair dyeing. Intense and red tinge free blue colorations can be obtained.
Abstract: New extracts of Marsdenia cundurango Reichenbach fil., processes for preparing them, antitumor agents comprising them, compositions containing them and methods of treating tumor with them are described herein in which the extracts consist essentially of the portion of Marsdenia cundurango Reichenbach fil. which is soluble in lower alcohols and in chlorinated hydrocarbons other than carbon tetrachloride and insoluble in carbon tetrachloride or aromatic hydrocarbons.
Abstract: A method of emulsifying water insoluble compounds particularly cholesterol, cholesterol esters and triglycerides in the blood which method comprises emulsifying the water insoluble compound with a novel synthetic phosphatidyl quaternary ammonium, sulfonium and phosphonium hydroxide compounds or emulsifying agents which compounds have a hydrophobic/hydrophilic balance different from the natural phosphatidylcholine, by changes in the polar group.
Abstract: New extracts of Marsdenia cundurango Reichenbach fil., processes for preparing them, antitumor agents comprising them, compositions containing them and methods of treating tumor with them are described herein in which the extracts consist essentially of the portion of Marsdenia cundurango Reichenbach fil. which is soluble in lower alcohols and in chlorinated hydrocarbons other than carbon tetrachloride and is insoluble in aliphatic hydrocarbons.
