Abstract: A septumless polarizer is an OMT polarizer which is formed without a traditional thin septum which bridges the gap from the first assembly half to the second assembly half when the polarizer is split in the zero-current region of the rectangular waveguides (RHCP and LHCP ports). The septumless polarizer utilizes a dual-axis-stepped feature, which is included in one half of the polarizer only, creates the illusion of a traditional thin septum and actually improves performance. A close-proximity fastener scheme is enabled along with a fully encompassing pressure lip and contact pressure risks are mitigated.
Abstract: An electric motor pump system includes a variable displacement pump, an electric motor connected to drive the variable displacement pump, a first control piston configured to limit an output pressure characteristic of the pump, and a second control piston controlled via a servo valve according to an output speed of the electric motor. In embodiments, the second piston is configured to maintain a substantially constant output flow of the pump as the output speed of the electric motor changes. With embodiments, the first and second control pistons may be configured to act on a yoke of the variable displacement pump.

Abstract: An apparatus comprising an ion selecting device; an individual ion counter device; and an interface device integral with the ion selecting device and downstream of an ion separating chamber of the ion selecting device. The interface device comprises a tagging particle generator and a tagging chamber. Sample gas containing ions of a selected mobility enters the tagging chamber from the ion selecting device and is exposed to uncharged neutral tagging particles from the tagging particle generator. The ions collide with the tagging particles to form a mixture of tagged ions and uncharged neutral tagging particles which is then separated in a tagged ions separator forming part of the individual ion counting device before the separated tagged ions are counted.

Abstract: A support stand for supporting a bicycle includes a base, and a pair of lateral support members extending upwardly from the base in opposed relation to each other to define a wheel receiving channel therebetween. The wheel receiving channel extends along a channel axis. A pair of flanges extend from respective ones of the pair of lateral support members, with the pair of flanges being arranged so as to be engageable with respective opposed portions of the bicycle frame to support the bicycle frame with the rear wheel off the ground.
Abstract: A shroud unit has multiple stay members for supporting an electric motor, which rotates a fan unit having multiple blade members. Each of the blade members is inclined with respect to a radial direction of the fan unit in a predetermined circumferential direction. The stay members include a first stay member and multiple second stay members. Each of the second stay members is inclined with respect to the radial direction in a circumferential direction opposite to the predetermined circumferential direction. The first stay members is inclined with respect to the radial direction in the predetermined circumferential direction. The first stay member is located at a position overlapping with one of air-flow areas of a circular opening formed in the shroud unit, when viewed it in a direction along a rotational center axis of the electric motor.
Abstract: A merchandising system includes a rail having a base. A first wall extends from the base and has a first engagement surface. A second wall extends from the base and includes a second engagement surface facing the first engagement surface and spaced apart from the first engagement surface by a channel. The merchandising system also includes a cooperating member including a first portion received within the channel and a second portion extending from the second wall of the rail. The first portion is operable to selectively engage the first engagement surface and the second engagement surface.

Abstract: A camera body at which one or more camera accessories, at which light from a subject enters, are detachably mountable, includes: a body-side terminal; and a communication unit that communicates with at least one of the camera accessories, wherein: the communication unit requests, via the body-side terminal, the camera accessory for a discriminating signal indicating whether or not another camera accessory capable of communicating with the camera body is mountable on a subject side of the camera accessory.
Abstract: Techniques for controlling updating of information stored on a device, the information including information of a first type and information of a second type. The techniques include determining, using at least one processor, when a first item of information of the first type and a second item of information of the second type are to be updated, wherein the second item of information is to be updated more frequently than the first item of information; and causing the device to update the first and second items of information in accordance with the determination at least in part by wirelessly communicating with at least one other device.

Abstract: Disclosed are implementations of an accessory mount for a machine gun spade grip. An example accessory mount is configured for attachment to a firearm spade grip and comprises: a bridge member having a top and a bottom, the top of the bridge member includes a mounting interface and the bottom of the bridge member includes a cutout adapted to receive a portion of the firearm spade grip therein; a clamp member removably attached to the bottom of the bridge member; an actuator arm having a base and a distal end, the base of the actuator arm is attached to the top of the bridge member; and a paddle actuator rotatably connected to the distal end of the actuator arm. Some implementations of the accessory mount include a cross-bolt safety axially displaceable between an active position, whereby rotational movement of the paddle actuator is prevented, and an inactive position.
Abstract: A smart thermal patch for adaptive thermotherapy is provided. In an embodiment, the patch can be a stretchable, non-polymeric, conductive thin film flexible and non-invasive body integrated mobile thermal heater with wireless control capabilities that can be used to provide adaptive thermotherapy. The patch can be geometrically and spatially tunable on various pain locations. Adaptability allows the amount of heating to be tuned based on the temperature of the treated portion.
