Abstract: Embodiments of an apparatus and system are described for a hybrid computing device. Some embodiments may comprise a computing device having an enclosure arranged to support a display on a front of the enclosure and a cover mechanically coupled to a side of the enclosure, the cover comprising a first portion having at least one integrated input device and a second portion having at least one flexible seam arranged to allow the second portion to adjustably pivot around the seam. Abstract: A tool installation aid for installing a tool into a press includes a holding console attachable to a press, and a tool-changing plate in or on which a tool is attachable, wherein the tool-changing plate can be placed onto a receiving element of the holding console, a drive device, drivable by a motor or manually, is disposed in the tool-changing plate and by way of which the tool-changing plate is displaceable on the receiving element in the direction toward the press to be transferred from the receiving element onto the clamping plate of the press, the drive device includes at least one driven first drive element, and the receiving element includes at least one non-driven second drive element, the first and second drive elements being operatively connected for displacing the tool-changing plate.
Abstract: The present disclosure aims to provide a bonded magnet having good magnetic properties and a method of preparing the bonded magnet. The present disclosure provides a method of preparing a bonded magnet, including: a first compression step of compressing a magnetic powder having an average particle size of 10 ?m or less while magnetically orienting it to obtain a first molded article; a second compression step of bringing the first molded article into contact with a thermosetting resin having a viscosity of 200 mPa·s or less, followed by compression to obtain a second molded article; and a heat treatment step of heat treating the second molded article.
Abstract: A foot operable door opener operates, without using one's hands, and without an electrical assist. The entrance cycle is initiated by stepping on a pedal. This force drives the pedal a ¼ turn, engaging a soft wheel to open the door. The pedal is hard linked to a crank arm which goes into a unidirectional crank shaft hub to turn the wheel. The downward pressure from the pedal pivots a ratcheted hinge connected to a bracketed spring-loaded wheel assembly to keep constant pressure to the ground. A gear box or multiple pumps of the pedal turns the wheel two or more 360 degrees rotations, opening the door to allow the entrant to pass until the foot pedal is dis-engaged. This action releases the ratcheting hinge mechanism, allowing the spring assisted wheel assemble to rotate to its original up position, releasing the wheel from the ground, allowing the door to close.
Abstract: A hydronic floor heating system as it relates to an HVAC apparatus, approach and system. Aspects of the present system and approach may include a radiant floor optimization mode, low floor temperature in vacation mode, modifying a 300 Hz, or so, reading principle base on implementation of Pseudo-random jittering of a reading event improving short-term accuracy of the individual readings, and a combination of hardware and software filters for using thermal sensors with extended cable length.

Abstract: A communication system is disclosed in which a base station communicates with machine-type-communication (MTC) devices by dividing the base station's cell bandwidth into (non-overlapping) narrowbands. The base station identifies, based on a communication received from a communication device, a capability of that communication device to retune between narrowbands, and provides, to that communication device, control information for controlling how that communication device retunes between different narrowbands, wherein the control information is based on the identified capability of that communication device to retune between narrowbands.

A pixel density of the first area is greater than that of the second area. In the second area, each pixel includes a first sub-pixel, a second sub-pixel, a third sub-pixel, and a fourth sub-pixel. The first sub-pixel, the third sub-pixel, and the fourth sub-pixel are in a same sub-pixel row. The first sub-pixel is between the third sub-pixel and the fourth sub-pixel. Abstract: An antenna device includes a first substrate, a second substrate, an antenna layer, and a redistribution layer. The first substrate has a first surface, a second surface opposite to the first surface, and an inclined sidewall adjoining the first and second surfaces. The second substrate is below the first substrate. The first surface of the first substrate faces toward the second substrate. The antenna layer is located on the first surface of the first substrate. The redistribution layer extends from the second surface of the first substrate to the second substrate along the inclined sidewall of the first substrate, and the redistribution layer has a first section in contact with an end of the antenna layer.
Abstract: Various embodiments include a container for hydroponically growing plants. The container has a bottom surface and an open top surface and a fluid reservoir having at least a portion of the volume between the bottom surface and the top surface. A pump is positioned at a bottom portion of the fluid reservoir. A length of tubing connects the pump to a valve that is further connected to additional tubing. A plurality of jets are connected to the additional tubing to spray fluid internal to the fluid reservoir. Further, there is a support structure, configured to fit into the open top surface, that has support components for interconnecting a plurality of openings and supporting the plurality of jets. Finally, a cover plate is configured to fit over the support structure in the open top surface.

Abstract: A fuel injector system includes an outer support and an inner support, with a feed arm extending radially between the inner support and the outer support. Abstract: In a MR water-fat image separation method and device, within one echo period, a first echo set under a first readout gradient polarity and a second echo set under a second readout gradient polarity are acquired. The first and second readout gradient polarities may be opposite, and echoes in the first echo set may be positionally one-to-one symmetric to echoes in the second echo set with respect to the echo center of the echo period. A first echo image set is obtained based on first echo set data acquired in each echo period, and a second echo image set is obtained based on second echo set data acquired in each echo period. Using the first and second echo image sets, a Dixon water-fat separation calculation is performed to obtain a water image and a fat image. The method and device can advantageously increase acquisition efficiency and the signal-to-noise ratio.
Abstract: A nozzle assembly for a gas turbine engine includes a nozzle having a first material defining a first coefficient of thermal expansion, the nozzle having an airfoil defining a fluid passage therein, an inlet wall defining a fluid inlet that is fluidly connected to the fluid passage, and a passive valve assembly comprising an annular band, the annular band comprising a second material having a second coefficient of thermal expansion less than the first coefficient of thermal expansion such that the passive valve assembly is at least partially moveable relative to the fluid inlet.

Abstract: One example includes a cryogenic wafer test system. The system includes a first chamber that is cooled to a cryogenic temperature and a wafer chuck confined within the first chamber. The wafer chuck can be configured to accommodate a wafer device-under-test (DUT) comprising a plurality of superconducting die. The system also includes at least one wafer prober configured to implement a test on a superconducting die of the plurality of superconducting die via a plurality of electrical probe contacts. The system further includes a wafer chuck actuator system confined within a second chamber. The wafer chuck actuator system can be configured to provide at least one of translational and rotational motion of the wafer chuck to facilitate alignment and contact of a plurality of electrical contacts of the superconducting die to the respective plurality of electrical probe contacts of the at least one wafer prober.
