Abstract: A conductor wire material CW is wound into an accurate size without causing floating and deformation when an electric coil is formed. When the conductor wire material CW supplied from a wire material feed portion 3 is wound by turning a coil-winding mold 4 and is processed to fabricate an electric coil having a desired coil shape, the coil-winding mold 4 is linearly moved in a direction D away from the wire material feed portion 3 by a distance corresponding to a major side portion 40a to impart predetermined tension to the conductor wire material CW when a winding portion 40 of the coil-winding mold 4 on which the conductor wire material is wound is the major side portion 40a, and the coil-winding mold 4 is rotated when the winding portion 40 of the coil-winding mold 4 on which the conductor wire material is wound is a minor side portion 40b.
Abstract: A rotating electrical machine such as electrical starter motor and more particularly to an improved method and apparatus for winding the armature coils of a rotating electrical machine. The winding apparatus and method is particularly adapted for use with large diameter wires and permits winding without a winding needle having to pass into the slot between the pole teeth. This is accomplished by introducing some slack in the wire by moving the wire in a circumferential direction when the winding needle is not disposed in proximity to the slot and then returning the winding needle to registry with the slot.
Abstract: A winding device winds a wire (90) onto a core (8) having a plurality of teeth (8b) protruding from a yoke and having slots (8a) formed between each tooth (8b). The winding device winds the wire (90) by causing a nozzle (3) which lets out the wire (90) to perform a relative motion. The winding device is provided with pusher plates (72) which guide the wire (90) into the slots (8a), and inserts the wire (90) into the slots (8a) by causing the pusher plates (72) to move relative to the core (8).

Abstract: A spincast fishing reel has a reel frame to which front and rear covers are attached. The rear cover includes a pivotable thumb button which is depressed by a user when fishing line is to be cast. The front cover closes the face of the reel, but defines a forward opening through which the fishing line extends. A normally nonrotatable line spool is located inside of the front cover on a spool hub of the reel frame. Fishing line is wound onto the line spool by a rotatable pickup head located forward of the line spool. An improved drag arrangement includes a drag nut mounted on a threaded portion of the spool hub. A gear train arrangement is provided to operatively connect a suitable thumb wheel with the drag nut. Rotation of the thumb wheel by a user causes rotation 6f the drag nut, which varies the drag force imposed on the line spool.
